Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
CrispyTheCrisp · 03/01/2011 23:12

LOL, you had me going for a bit. The camembert and crisps are finished Sad, and my bag is folded up in my handbag for 'emergency excess baggage' Grin

hippyChristmaspotamus · 03/01/2011 23:13

oh and crisp ... your bag is machine washable but the lettering will only not washout if i remembered to iron it. i don't think i did forget but just in case i did, please give it a press before washing!

CrispyTheCrisp · 03/01/2011 23:14

Iron Confused

I shall have to consult DH on that one. I honestly couldn't tell you where it is kept Blush

hippyChristmaspotamus · 03/01/2011 23:14

there may have been more than one pack of crisps bought for you but they were sacrificed Blush sorry! they were nice though!

hippyChristmaspotamus · 03/01/2011 23:15

that's my girl! i don't iron either! well i do when i'm sewing stuff but not clothes iyswim!

Merlion · 04/01/2011 02:18

I posted yesterday but no idea what happened to my message Hmm. Belated Happy New Year to you all.

MIL has finally gone Grin!

Secret Santa not arrived yet.

DS sleeping all over the place at the moment. Thankfully he's back at nursery tomorrow morning so hoping that once his routine is more back to normal things might settle down again.

TS as I work at the root of all evil a bank, two week consecutive holidays are mandatory for us so not bizarre at all.

BBBB have a fantastic holiday.

Am starting to feel a fair bit of movement now which is very exciting.

QueenofDreams · 04/01/2011 02:25

Hippy I was your SS last year! Glad to hear you liked it though Grin

Still pregnant here. Booked for induction on Wednesday but probably going to do the monitoring thing again. DP being his usual unsupportive, unsympathetic self. He really doesn't understand the concept at all.

Also ill again, so just generally fed up and in a crap mood all round. I only want three things: for us all to stop being bloody ill,
For S to stop waking up screaming every night and stying up for hours, and for this baby to get its butt out into the real world already (although with the illness and sleep issues, it's probably a good thing it hasn't come yet. hmph)

QueenofDreams · 04/01/2011 02:27

yikes, sorry for grumpy post! Blush

Merlion · 04/01/2011 02:45

Queenie sorry to hear that you're still having a rough time. My missing post did actually enquire about you. Sorry to hear you're still pg too. Didn't you go a way over with S too? Hope things start happening before Wednesday anyway.

QueenofDreams · 04/01/2011 02:47

thanks mer Yep S was a lovely 18 days over. I'm obviously too comfy, these kids refuse to come out!

CrispyTheCrisp · 04/01/2011 08:09

Morning, and welcome back to the real world to all Smile

We have snow Hmm, but not enough to close stuff i hope as CM/preschool and gym are all on todays agenda

V v proud of DD2 as she has had a dry nappy overnight for 2 of the last 3 nights. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of her sister Hmm. Too lazy to get out of bed i think Grin

QoD hope you can shake the cold and the baby soon. Perhaps one big last sneeze and all will be sorted Grin. I hear Saturday is a great day for a birthday BTW Wink. Hope DP pulls his finger out too and gives you some support

merlion enjoy the peace Grin. V exciting re movements - has the ms subsided fully now?

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 04/01/2011 08:17

WHY did no child sleep last night the night before a 12 hour f light? DD1 only once but refused to go back to sleep incase she missed the holiday - DD2 was just being crotchetty and wanting to sleep with us! DH slept but inbetween the girls he snored and snorted - I could happily leave them to this morning and go back to bed.

Crispy - hope the gym/preschool and CM are all open for you.

Queenie - Just think by the time I am back you will have baby number 2!

Merlion - How wonderful feeling minimerlion moving already - does it feel real now? And Yay for the MIL free zone.

CrispyTheCrisp · 04/01/2011 08:26

BBBB They will now sleep the whole flight as they will be knackered and you can sup a G&T and lie back with your face mask on. Maybe. Grin

Merlion · 04/01/2011 09:19

Yes it feels real now and ms completely subsided - I have my appetite back so expecting to have gained rather than lost at 20 week scan.

BBBB well as DH is well rested I suggest you get a seat at the other end of the plane and give the dd's to him!

FjorgynAndHotWater · 04/01/2011 09:59

Hello all Smile

Sorry to hear you are still poorly Queenie Sad and although you are no doubt fed up to the back teeth of still being pg I'm sure in a few years your DC2 will appreciate not having a birthday right in the middle of Christmas. Not much consolation to you now though...

hippy I'm sorry I spoiled your subterfuge re ss Blush I mustn't have read the thread properly cos I thought you'd already confessed Grin

Crispy I can't believe you have more snow Shock it's a balmy 3 degrees here and actually a bit sunny.

merlion your pregnancy is flying past Shock glad you are feeling better now that mil has gone Wink

Better go and find the boxes to put the Christmas decorations away. It took all day to put them up, hope it doesn't take so long to take the buggers down again...

FjorgynAndHotWater · 04/01/2011 11:55

Tree's down and DH is cleaning the filth pit living room whilst I pretend I am having a slight relapse and need a sit down Wink

TwilightSurfer · 04/01/2011 12:52

Tomorrow morning is going to be hell.Sad R did wake just minutes before my 5AM alarm. She came into the bed with me and patted my face for about a half hour.Hmm I think she was trying to wake me but then got bored and went back to sleep. It's 7:45AM now and DD1 is just getting out of bed. Tomorrow at this time we should be about to walk into her school.Confused I am hope I do a better job in the morning.

Queenie, YOU CAN DO IT! I HAVE FAITH!! Drink loads of chicken soup and eat some good yogurt...this to help with your own health. That baby will be here before you know it.

Have fun Blueberry.

luckoftheirish · 04/01/2011 13:25

Day 1 of potty training not going so well. Dd2 likes wearing pants but does not want to go on the potty at all. In fact she asked me for a nappy Hmm

Getting the lurgy not impressed!

Fjor decorations down but dd2 won't let me take the tree HmmSmile will have to get dh to it later

hope you are at the airport bbbb and have a safe and stress free flight

hugs queenie won't be long!!

TS same issues here tho managed to get dd1 to school on time phew

SilkStalkings · 04/01/2011 13:55

'Ello!
S'posed to be working from home today, done about one hour and need to go out again to do some more errands before schoolrunBlush.

Nothing exciting going on here. Not smoked since Xmas eve due to ill-health which seems to have been a good cold turkey distraction so we'll see how long I can last. Finished Square#3 of my 63 square knitting odyssey. In midst of annual bedroom switcheroo, DD back in her old pink bedroom, my office now in smallest bedroom. Anyone got a small sofabed they want rid of?

DS2 made a sentence today!Shock Pointed at a robot t-shirt on the airer and said "Mama, Kirk bobot nere." He's got such a tiny, baby voice for English but such a deep, jolly bellow for gobbledegook.

Queenie Sorry to hear baby still firmly attached, thinking of you.

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 04/01/2011 14:47

Thanks for the sleep thoughts. I managed to cuddle him to sleep in our bed earlier, so he's enjoying a well-deserved kip right now. bbbb interesting about the sleep cycle thing, I will definitely try a few earlier bedtimes on non-napping days.

QoD sending hearty labour vibes your way.

CrispyTheCrisp · 04/01/2011 15:16

So far, a brilliantly productive day Smile:

Walked 2.5 miles to preschool
Dug car out of the snow Hmm
Caught up on all the washing (and putting away Shock)
Run 7.5k on the treadmill
Drunk 2 litres of water
Had a sauna
Done supermarket shop & put away
Failed to mend DD1's CD player
Prepped a big shepherds pie
Sent off a well overdue cheque

Am having 5 mins with a cuppa now before pickup and then i think DD1 and i will do some craft or play a game when she gets home - will be nice to have some 1:1 time

star good to see J having a nap and giving you some 'time off' Hmm

loti good luck Grin. DD2 hated me asking if she needed the potty and would shout 'no' at me or 'just had a wee wee' Hmm. In the end i just left her to it with no knickers on (she didn't seem to mind wet pants but not weeing without anything on IYSWIM) and she was fab

silks back to work . Oh - is the printer working ok for you?

hippyChristmaspotamus · 04/01/2011 16:30

gah! i was coming on here for a nice little chat and just seen crisp's 'prepped a shepherd's pie' and that reminded me that i've not got started on dinner yet...oops!

SilkStalkings · 04/01/2011 16:30

Printer is fab thanks Crispy, in fact you've just reminded me to go source some new cartridges and labels online. Seeing as the job I'm doing is a mailshot, I'd better move that up the do list hadn't I?

Just noticed Lucky you getting the lurgi againShockSad.

hippyChristmaspotamus · 04/01/2011 16:31

and yes, i know its early to do dinner but now all of the snow/ice has gone, i'm going to start running in the evenings so my cunning plan is to get dinner ready early and leave dh with the 2 DCs for half an hour when he gets home. i'm only telling you this so you can nag me later when i've decided it was too cold to go out Grin Its daft, i know once i'm out there i'll really enjoy it but its the bit before that i'm not very good at!

CrispyTheCrisp · 04/01/2011 17:45

hips never too early to do dinner. In fact my shepherds pie is for tomorrow night and tonights chicken noodle soup is already made too Grin

Enjoy your run, and come and tell us all about it on HM's
