Thanks Ladies.

Crispy we went for this one. I loved the red one from ELC but DH like this one with it's washing machine and dishwasher better Hmm

Morning Hippy :)

hippyChristmaspotamus · 01/01/2011 10:57

ooh blue, that looks good. can we come round to play? :)

HoHoHotsAMerryChristmas · 01/01/2011 12:05

Hurrah for new babies and shiny kitchens Xmas Smile

Glad to hear I was not the only one staying in, and not the only one who had a bad night. After nearly two weeks of brilliant sleeps DS decided last night to wake up and refuse to be settled for over an hour from about 4.30am DH did the first shift then he went to sleep in DS' bed and DS came in with me. Needless to say am feeling a bit Xmas Confused today.

Had a lovely day though, went to my friends' for a party in the afternoon with a few fireworks at 6pm, came home, sobered up got the DC to bed then watched funny stuff on telly with a glass or two of wine. Some neighbours had a half-decent firework display at midnight which we could actually see (usually we can hear all the fireworks but not see them) and I stayed up till 2am in the end Xmas Shock

Just woken DH [good wife] so when he comes downstairs I am going to leave the mess downstairs to him and go and soak in the shower for half an hour Xmas Smile

Happy New Year!!!!

All the dcs slept in our bed last night. Cue me moving one to her bed at 2am and then at 4am I decided to join her because a ST ORM of magnificent proportion appeared. Lots of thunder and lightening.

Crispy I would love to plan it. Is March good?WinkWink It really has been loads of fun. There's so much to consider and the stat sites are filled with knowledge that is beyond compare. As a person who does not "like" crowds, I feel very comfortable that I have planned around the worst as the week we are going is suppose to be the BUSIEST week of the year.Hmm There will be lots of eating in cool places and doing fun things with both girls.

I promise there will be loads of pictures.Grin

BibiBelle · 01/01/2011 14:29

oh.good.lord.

Happy New Year one and all Envy through too much drinking and not envy Blush

will be back later when I can cope

CrispyTheChristmasCracker · 01/01/2011 16:03

Ha ha. serves you right GrinWink

House hoovered, toilets cleaned and 2 loads of washing done . We wanted to take the girls swimming this avo but i think the Gym is closed. Maybe they will be open on monday instead Confused

We have a NY resolution in this house - the DC's are to put away one toy before starting to play with the next one. Wonder how long that one will last? Hmm

Unexpected presents which have been a hit here are a Ben & Holly DVD, a second hand shopping till and a paint your own tigger. The lego caravan & camping stuff on the other hand has provided little entertainment (yet). Any unexpected hits/misses with any one elses pressies?

BBBB wow!!!! I see DH is keen to have the DD's trained to be complete homemakers Grin

TwilightSurfer · 01/01/2011 16:14

DH's iP ad is a huge HIT with DH and DD1. They've had their face glued to it for a week. I keep seeing "charges" on my account for games...bowling, air hockey, golf, race car driving, pool.Hmm

I'd say the Fi scher P rice doll h ouse has been played with most then the T inker bell F airies. I'm very happy I chose not to get tons of stuff this year. They've really not played with ANY of their gifts. Yesterday DH gave them an annoying, noisy one that I'd set aside to return (never even wrapped it). That one will be out the door on Monday.Angry The z hu zh u pets have run all over the living room for days unattended. Not sure what their deal is.Hmm

blueberrysantabait · 01/01/2011 16:41

We haven't really had anything that was a total miss, DD1 seems to have incorporated everything from Sylvanians to doctor set into one big game in the indoor cottage she got, it started on Christmas day and she can tell in the morning which bits we have moved but her biggest hit was a music box with a twirly ballerina in it, it plays Swan Lake. . DD2's favourite pressie was a singing teapot and 2 little cups - she kicks the teapot endlessly to make it sing and chewing the cups.

DD1 is sporting a lovely bruise right in the middle of her forehead - DH moved his leg off the sofa so she could climb on hand accidentally kicked her in the head - he was mortified and she laughed like a mad thing!

Chrispy - I am amazed at what is closed today as opposed to normal New Years Day, I tried to go out and get some cough stuff for DH and only our Sainsbugs and Costa were open.

blueberrysantabait · 01/01/2011 16:42

TS - make sure DH as turned off the 'in app purchases' in the General menu or he could run up a bill of $100s.

TwilightSurfer · 02/01/2011 01:22

Blueberry, I'll check with DH later about that. I just checked my credit ca rd and he's not over done it so far.Hmm

Poor P.Sad At least she was good natured about it.

My surprise New Y ear's gift to myself is AWESOME. I think each of you should go purchase a top of the line cordless dri ll/dr iver. Since I brought it home I've fixed 4 of the 6 drawers in my kitchen that keep jumping off their track. I would have done all 6 but I hurt myself and had to stop. Silly me tried to throw my weight into a hinge (the door swings wonky). I just wanted to bed it a little. It didn't budge but something went in my lower back.Confused I'm sure it's nothing major BUT because I am of advanced age I must stop and not injure myself further. LOL! It does hurt even after two m otrin and ice and a warm BED. Tomorrow will probably be worse. WHO CARES THOUGH the damn drawers are FIXED!!Grin

TwilightSurfer · 02/01/2011 01:22

I just wanted to BEND it a little not BED....grrrrrr auto correct is pissing me off today.

CrispyTheChristmasCracker · 02/01/2011 08:04

Morning Smile

Kettle is on, so let me know your orders? teapot is full and bacon sarnies will be provided soon

DH sleeping, DD1 watching Happy F eet and DD2 playing Lego. Me relaxing with MN and tea. Hurrah!

BBBB hope DD1 doesn't have a too long lasting bruise!

TS LOL @ Superwoman with her new piece of kit Grin. Hope the back is better this morning

CrispyTheChristmasCracker · 02/01/2011 09:19

Yay, Day 37 of potty training and DD2 has finally done a #2 on the potty of her own volition.

blueberrysantabait · 02/01/2011 09:25

YAY for potty training LittlestCrisp.

I am supposed to be writing a list of what to get/pack/do/not do for our holiday nad DH is sleeping with yet another lurgy, DD2 is sleeping, DD lying on the sofa with knickers on her head and only a dressing gown on - do you think we will actually leave the house at any point today?

TS - I love our cordless drill/driver but am not allowed it after screwing thins down that didn't need screwing down so hard!

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 02/01/2011 10:14
hippyChristmaspotamus · 02/01/2011 10:44

morning all
i keep meaning to ask, why do some of you put random spaces in the middle of words?

blue shall i write a packing list for you? here goes..
suncream
bikinis x 3
a pair of trunks for R
couple of nappies

done Grin

crisp stop trying to tease my head out of the sand with all your potty training talk! but yay to E! that's great news!
are you still making tea? any bacon left?

hippyChristmaspotamus · 02/01/2011 10:46

oh and DS's language is amazing now! he's just told me he 'needs a pen to draw please mummy right now' Smile
He's gone from very few words to long sentences in a matter of a couple of weeks. the trip up to pil seems to have really open flood gates on his talking!
little P is still being amazing, great vid on fb of her taken at pil house

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 02/01/2011 11:19

I think it is TS's new phone mostly but on mine it was just because the boy had a pretty unique name. Speaking of which he has been transferred to NICU over night as he is working too hard to breathe and not keeping feeds down :(.

off to get packing minus the bikinis!!

hippyChristmaspotamus · 02/01/2011 12:35

oh no, sorry to hear that blueberry

TwilightSurfer · 02/01/2011 13:08

Blueberry, I'm sure all will be well. Sending positive vibes just in case.

Hippy, The spaces help camouflage words from searches. There's no need for someone looking for a particular location or toy or food running across us. It's just my way of helping out.Smile

Very nice about T's vocab and E's potty training.

DH asked my yesterday why I wasn't potty training R yet. I replied, "Do you want to take her to the potty in the MK?" He said, "Oh."Shock

hippyChristmaspotamus · 02/01/2011 15:57

ah ha, i see! w ell now i kno w, i'll start do ing it too SmileWink

CrispyTheChristmasCracker · 02/01/2011 20:10

Yes, my reasons are the same as TS's. Personally i would still prefer a non-googlable 90 day 'poof' thread, but in the absence of that i shall just insert spaces Grin

Good day today with friends for lunch. Gearing up for the decoration removal tomorrow

TS what's MK? Confused

Safari loving the new name and i really hope baby R perks up soon Smile

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 02/01/2011 20:23

All of DS's presents have been a hit really (easily pleased child Grin). The most annoying is the ELC fire station that falls apart the instant you, or anything else, touches it. He got some new multicoloured blocks that he loves - a simple surprise.

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 02/01/2011 20:23

Crispy - it the short hand for Magic Kin gdom for those in the know

DDs in bed, DH eating tagine, tree down and packed away, whole heap of packing staring me in the face!

CrispyTheChristmasCracker · 02/01/2011 20:29

Aha, thanks BBBB

star thanks ever so much for your book recommendations, DH loved the polar adventures and is set to hit Agent Z once he has finished Step hen Fry. He keeps asking me how i found them and i just raise an eyebrow Grin
