Silkstalkings · 14/12/2010 16:35

Oh thank goodness for that! I'm so pleased for you. It is a little handwarmer doodah, stick it in your car for emergencies instead.

BibiBelle · 14/12/2010 16:42

ooh love it!!!

blueberrysantabait · 14/12/2010 17:24

YAY - Bibi I am thrilled for you all :) enjoy your baking and your warm house.

DD1 is being challenging to say the least!! She is over tired from a few late nights and waking for a wee at 3am this morning and not really going back to sleep at all. She loved her last day of term and the little pressies they made for us made me cry She made bookmarks for us each and helped 'write' her name in our card.

I found her eating a mince pie from god knows when in her playroom earlier she had kept from when the ils were here last apparently and was eating a little at a time until the come home from their trip on the titanic!

Meet up sounds lovely and am very envious of your cheese!

Back later Xmas Smile

BibiBelle · 14/12/2010 18:16

thanks BBBBBBBBBBBBBBB Smile but bleurgh to the ancient mincepie Grin

Got L to choose a dress (miracle) in ASDA for her christmas party and they didn't have it in her size Xmas Biscuit still I got it 4-5yrs so will stuff her into it!! E came home from hers stroppy and over tired but has apparently had a great time

OP posts:
blueberrysantabait · 14/12/2010 18:32

Some twunt face (yes strong language) has tried to hack my paypal account so it has all been frozen and now I can't pay anyone for anything or send cash for christmas pressies!

HippyChristmaspotamus · 14/12/2010 19:53

i second the eurgh to the mince pie!

hi all Xmas Grin
all my christmas orders are finished and all but one is in the post. [huge relief emoticon]

bibi L chose a dress? i'm v impressed! i bet she'll wear it with a dinosaur mask or something similar though!

CaptainCaveman · 14/12/2010 20:24

lol at mrs Doyle Xmas Grin, I should have put on an irish accent for you (I love love love Father Ted Grin)

Thanks for cheese crispy, am quickly working my way through it!

ursula yay to 50% off sales, but obv not so good for the shopkeepers.

WEnt to ds1s nativity today, aww they were so cute. Great shouting singing from my pfb, although he did get told off for wriggling. His starring role was a townsperson of Bethlehem - actually a hotelier (of a hotel with rats, no less!). Great great fun, apart from the parents who didn't understand the written AND spoken instructions NOT to take photos during the play as it might put the children off Xmas Hmm. Twats. Obv, ds was the best Xmas Grin

CaptainCaveman · 14/12/2010 20:25

bbbb, oh no that sucks, anything we can do?

bb yay you have heating! And lol at ripping out his still beating heart Grin. Don't mess with a pissed off, freezing scottish woman!!

CaptainCaveman · 14/12/2010 20:59

Why does Royal Mail, first class recorded delivery take more than 3 working days (so far) to arrive? it's only gone one frigging county over from here! I could have walked there faster!!

blueberrysantabait · 14/12/2010 21:21

Thanks Cavey - I will just have to send the kiddies all a cheque and the ebay things I have just sent an e-mail to them explaining why I can't pay yet.

I am confessing to not having posted my SS yet but tomorrow is the 15th so it will be posted then.

DD1 just threw up in a polite manner into her blankie, called me I took it nad she rolled over and went back to sleep - I hope it is mouldy mince pie and not a bug!

blueberrysantabait · 14/12/2010 21:22

She has since called me to apologise and tell me she loves me???

CrispyTheCrisp · 14/12/2010 22:08

Oh bless her BBBB Smile. GGrrrrrr for the PayPal hackers though Angry

Well done on the boiler (finally) and the dress bibi. Not sure which is a greater achievement Grin

I have done all my xmas cards tonight but am missing loads of addresses as loads were on my laptop which was returned to work. I am sure i copied them over. But seems not Confused

I also finished my christmas shopping today and managed to sneak in this dress and these shoes for my works Xmas lunch which will probably be snowed off Hmm

Well done on getting your orders out hips and bibi i received my shopping this morning thankyou Smile

maisyandpandulce · 14/12/2010 23:05

Hello, some thoughts for us all tomorrow please. DS's rescheduled undescended testis op and I am leaving DD with my inlaws all day. Both of which are big for us.

Love and christmas cheer for everyone. I am putting my head in the sand about it.

maisyandpandulce · 14/12/2010 23:12

oh and two mad vegan eco hippy travellers (friends of a very good old school friend so I didn't want to say no) that I have never met from Ecuador are coming to stay on Friday. Aaarghhh.

No, they are only vegetarian. I asked them if they were vegan but they said that no they weren't but they didn't mind giving milk a miss for a few days. If they are assuming that we are vegan (we're not) I have no clue what they will think when they meet us all (DH is probably the most conventional prompt Argentinian in the world)

Actually I am vaguely annoyed that my friend didn't realise that at the hippy eco permaculture yoga commune that she runs she is used to receiving strangers to stay with her (and they charge them to come and grow sustainable eco vegetables!) while people who are not quite so alternative do not necessarily want two strangers staying with them for a few days.

I could have said no, but didn't as she is a good friend, just a bit narked that she asked. Ho hum, what would you have done?

Enough with the sterotypes.

maisyandpandulce · 14/12/2010 23:23

OK. In fact I have just realised that I really don't want them to come and stay. Will resend another email. Will probably annoy them, upset my friend, and it is a shame as meeting new people who are probably lovely, is a lovely thing to do. I would have done it when I was single/childless, but it is different now. I guess this is something to think about.

It would be different if it had been my friend inviting herself, or even if she had been coming too.

santashappychick · 15/12/2010 07:39

morning Smile

thinking of you today maisy and hope all goes well..

cece "a go on go go on go on, you will you will you will " Grin

dd2 has been a grumpy whingey moo the last few days so i am hoping today will be a happier one [sigh].. dd1 limping onto end of term with her current poorliness [even bigger sigh]

have a good day all xx

blueberrysantabait · 15/12/2010 08:11

Morning all

DD was fine last night not a peep until 4 whn she wanted a drink then 7am, DH went in thinking she was ready to getup and she just wanted a drink! So has been stroppy and squealy since she got up.

Santas - not long until the end of term - keep holding on then have a day of PJs and naps!

Maisy - I would put them off saying DS will still be sore post-op. I have to confess I wouldn't want any visitors 2 days after a hospital stay for any of us!

santashappychick · 15/12/2010 09:17

Hope dd1 cheers up bbbb.

Dd2 woke up with a temp. Calpol all over her and me with the tiniest dribble in her mouth [sigh] gonna b a long long day!!!

blueberrysantabait · 15/12/2010 09:30

Oh no Santa - hope you get some peace today. Both DDs sleeping, I am baking for a party tomorrow.

Silkstalkings · 15/12/2010 09:31

Maisy You are totally entitled to say no, just the words '2 under 3', 'testicle operation' and 'Christmas' should be enough to make them all see the error of their ways. And if they don't, they will learn one day and you can spend the time going Mwahahahahahaahahaaaaa til then.

DH & I had a lovely morning and Nando's lunch in town by ourselves yesterday, done 99% of Xmas shoppingShock. Arrived 45mins late for DS1's nativity (whodathunk it started at 1.45? stupid time) just in time to see him do his line, phew. Challeneg for today is to fix laptop so we can read the attachments from schoolBlush.

This will make you laugh. Bawled DH out last night for negging me out - 'you married my sunny disposition and I just can't keep it up with 4 of you attacking me on all sides - THROW ME A FREAKIN BONE HERE DUDE!" Plus I used 'surrounded forces of darkness' as a metaphor for them all and much melodramatic use of the word 'crushing'Grin and was almost tempted to wail 'I don't know who I am anymore' for extra shlock heehee. Was all true but maybe I wasn't quite as far along my tether I was suggesting, just got a bit carried away LOL. He was suitable chastened and contrite.

UrsulaUnderTheMistletoe · 15/12/2010 15:22

Silks Grin I have done that too, had an attack of the wobbles and halfway through have suddenly thought hold on I am overstating it a bit, things aren't actually that bad. Of course I can't admit that at the time so I soldier on bravely.

Maisy I agree you have numerous reasons not to want to be entertaining strangers. I think there are times this can be fun and interesting, and you come across people you might not normally meet, etc etc but I don't think post-hospital, a small baby, and Christmas looming really make this one of those times. Normally I'd suggest offering to do something else instead, eg offer to bring them somewhere or show them around or something but I think you'll want to be free to tend to ds. I hope it goes well for him, and that dd2 is ok too. I'll be thinking of you.

Santa hope your dd2's temp went down and you've not had a trying day.

dp's car buggered yesterday, just stopped dead on road home. Abandoned, and towed this morning. Feck.

Santa Claus was at playgroup this morning, ds's greed overcame his fear - he tiptoed up to him all shy and suspicious, but rapidly swiped the offered present and made a getaway. (Each person brought a little parcel beforehand.) It was quite sweet really. It's a nice group, but a bit too big.

Oh. rambling.

santashappychick · 15/12/2010 17:31

lol silks at your rambles Xmas Smile..

dd2 been a little star today tho still has temp Sad.. spent three hours wrapping presents and yet to start on the girls but am ahead of the game from normal Xmas Smile

bbbb how is dd1 now ??

CaptainCaveman · 15/12/2010 17:50

hope your poorly little girls are soon better, bbbb and santas?

Liking the ramblings of Ursula and silky Smile Glad to know its not just me!

Recorded delivery parcel has still not arrived. The letter I posted first class last Friday arrived today Hmm. I know they are busy but surely to goodness they can take a parcel 60 miles in 5 days?!!!!

CaptainCaveman · 15/12/2010 17:51

Forgot - beautiful dress crispy, nice work on slipping that in!!

blueberrysantabait · 15/12/2010 17:56

Santa- DH walked in the door and I walked out! Just to the post office but it was a much needed break. DD1 has been sweetness and light since he appeared and when I returned he ask what was so difficult about DD1 being ill and getting things done in the house! I tipped his Costa down the sink and ate his brownie.
