If you think of how much our LO's are developing (rolling/chatting/sitting up/reaching for toys/finding hands/giggling) it's no surprise they're ravenous most of the time. I'm not developing at all and I still want to eat all the time!
Just did day 1 of the Shred and it wasn't too bad, probably won't be able to walk tomorrow though. I've got a bad lower back so at one point my back gave in but it always does. Only thing is that the 30 days are going to overlap with a trip to the ILs...can I really be doing that in front of FIL? I rather think not...

tsc I honestly think it sounds like tiredness and the general relentless nature of childcare getting to him. Actions do speak louder than words and overall your dp does a lot with the house and children (and so he should and so do you!) If there's no backstory re the way he treats your dd1 then I think it's a couple of thoughtless comments which don't mean much more than him feeling a bit fed-up and tired.

I hope that doesn't come across as unsupportive, I really don't mean it to be.

Also, meant to ask about the job. What is it? Would you really do it?

mlic how did the counselling go?

what is Shred??

CakeandRoses · 02/12/2010 20:10

We've just come home from going for an early curry (with the DCs). Felix managed to eat loads of mine despite having had his day's rations at nursery already.

Felix is redeeming himself as he asked me if I was ok when I tripped up (over his hobby horse but still), which I thought was quite caring for a teething 2 yo!

Visit to inlaws in yorks postponed due to snow which I'm quite happy about.

Grin at 'shed'. (Have waited my chance for this since 'dizzy') ;-)

Chulita · 02/12/2010 20:55

mlic and cake your two sound proper chatty! DD's only just started putting 2 words together like 'where daddy' and 'more please' other than that I'm lucky if I get anything coherent.
DH has just done 3 nights, thought he had tonight off so didn't get a sleep in today, phone rang while he was cleaning his teeth and he's just had to go in. He's got the lurgy too so he's been holding out for bedtime only to have to go to work anyway...
And S is up for the 2nd time since bed, going to let him scream chat for a bit cos I'm not getting my boob out again only for him to fall asleep after 3 sucks.
mlic hope your dh gets home soon!

Hee hee! L 'talks' non-stop but it's just garble with the odd word. It's never quiet and like E she'll witter over me reading her book but when I stop I get 'more?' - so funny!
I bought her the cutest little nightlight from my grandad - the twilight turtle from cloud b and she loves it. She's been itching to get in bed all day so she can see the moon Grin wish it'd work on S!

Chulita · 02/12/2010 21:06

That's to say, I didn't buy it from my grandad, I bought it online on his behalf [must proof-read before posting]
And I'm off to bed on my own again, was looking forward to having hot-water-bottle-husband back but hey ho, hopefully this'll be a short job and he'll be home before morning.

chulita the grandad thing just really tickled me. Have been laughing like a loon.

F is a couple of months older than L (I think), he was 2 in Oct. He's not saying huge sentences yet, just 2- 3 worders mainly or a mixture of known words and nonsense such as 'blah blah walk, is it raining?' The change from single words to short sentences happens so suddenly, I bet L will start saying more in the next month or so.

CakeandRoses · 02/12/2010 21:44

Oh please make up with him tsc. Give him hell, get an apology but then make up. You're understandably beyond fed up of not having a break, a night out or decent sleep but falling out with the person who is on your side more than anyone else won't help. Life is too short...

And get dp to look after both DCs for a couple of hours off tomo. It'll do you so much good.

Job sounds v interesting. Tis nice to think about something other than children and to look at your options even if you don't end up getting/taking it.

tsc, my mum is an incredible lsa, and she changed jobs a few months ago. If you want to ask any questions about applications/ interviews, I'm sure she'd be happy to help x

Worms. oh god. I'm clearly out of my depth here, no more advice from me (backs out of 'thread' slowly, arse to the wall)

I don't know either tsc (despite reading about worms in the mn toddler book only last week). Perhaps do a search on here to find out/put your mind at rest for now but best to check with pharmacist/doc as mlic said, tomo to be certain.

How's things with dp/frankles/clara now?

Right I'm off to make 2nd cup of camomile and read an actual book and not mn or fb for a change!

Night all - peaceful night wishes to you all...
