HippyHippopotamus · 24/10/2010 22:00

ooh my my i've had such a hard day.... Wink

HippyHippopotamus · 24/10/2010 22:01

oops, sorry legume, that wasn't a sarcy comment to you...it was a subtle request to bibi for one of her brownies Blush

HippyHippopotamus · 24/10/2010 22:02

i vote for getting his parents to help you sort out the house!

TheNewLegume · 24/10/2010 22:03

Thanks for the brownie, Bibi.

If anyone needs a giggle btw, you could do worse than listen to my biggest girl doing her first radio interview.

TheNewLegume · 24/10/2010 22:04

Watch it, Hippy. [hwink]

BibiBelle · 24/10/2010 22:04
Grin
TheNewLegume · 24/10/2010 22:06

I vote for that too, Hippy, but I appear to have been outvoted here. I'm pretending I've not noticed. [hgrin]

HippyHippopotamus · 24/10/2010 22:06

oh legume, that's so sweet!!

HippyHippopotamus · 24/10/2010 22:09

TheNewLegume · 24/10/2010 22:18

He's tidying like mad, and bringing me a glass of wine. [aw, shucks]

Bloodberrybatbait · 24/10/2010 22:19

Leggy - I was amazed at how 'english' your DD sounds. I was expecting a lilt from her.

Hippy sleep tight - I am off to bed totally exhausted!

Sleep well everyone.

HippyHippopotamus · 24/10/2010 22:20

you see...he was hoping you'd tell me and that i would change my vote. no can do mrLegume!

HippyHippopotamus · 24/10/2010 22:21

night blueberry (DD has scuppered my early bed plans!)

TheNewLegume · 24/10/2010 22:25

She sounds like Lola from Charlie and Lola rather than like any of the rest of us. DS has got a real Cork accent shaping up though - his didn't start until he went to school, but it's really settling in now.

I did the radio thing with each one in turn and they were besotted with it, so I think it's going to keep us busy this midterm. They all love the sound of their own voices (it's not from the ground they brought that, as they say around here) [hwink]

Bloodberrybatbait · 24/10/2010 22:26

Nah - I'm not off to bed, DH has the iPad and I want to read my book but he is playing stupid games!

CrispyTheCorpse · 24/10/2010 23:07

Night all - I should be going to bed, but having spent half the evening threatening to throw the Bl%^$£y Feckin printer out of the window, i now need to write DD1's party invites

ScreamingTerror · 24/10/2010 23:40

Legume I LOVE the radio interview. This may sound crazy but I'm more a hearer than a looker. I love to listen to people's voices. There's so much in them really. Thank you for sharing that and I'd love to hear more.Grin

Hey Boybait... This American has never heard of your very American cakeybakey.Hmm

So much more to chat about but no time now. Laters.

ScreamingTerror · 24/10/2010 23:50

Sorry Legume I've now listened to all your recordings.BlushGrin So so so so cute and quite honestly reminds me of things my mother use to do with my brother and I.

ST are DHs & DCs invited to our Caribbean extravaganza? Not sure I fancy 24 hours on a plane if they are Grin

Hippy I'm confused I thought you were talking about no.3 last week?

Star ,Hots glad you had a lovely meet up

Bibi you must know from the sense of relief you feel that the right decision has been made and you're right you don't need any extra crap in your life.

Enya hope your trip goes ok and that you are able to spend some time with your Dad.

Legume I thought this might interest you www.goodenglish.org.sg/category/about/over-the-years/2010/factsheet-2010/ have been out and about with my sticky notes! At a brand new condo there is a signpost to the car park 'visitor' (maybe they aren't expecting more than one?!) and 'residence'[hhmm]. At a shop 'You name it, we can personalized it!'
