Are there no other londoners in here?

Dylthan · 23/09/2010 20:12

Thanks for the all the introductions, it's great to meet you all.

Will definatly be checking out the fb page. Thanks for the invite.

How was everyones day today? Mine involved cleaning the oven which did actually take all day!

Chulita · 23/09/2010 20:19

mlic that colour's quite nice I reckon but as for black...I wear brown boots too but I thought a nice new coat was a perfect excuse to buy nice new boots Grin

needle I'm not a londoner at the mo, I have been in my past, there are a few on this thread though.

My day was slow and wet (sounds a bit sensual Grin) rainy so couldn't take DD for a walk, car's broke so couldn't drive anywhere but...DH is home tomorrow! woohoo! and S has been asleep for 40 mins now so I'm an idiot for not being in bed meself!

'night all

Hiya Dylthan.

Belated intro from me:

I'm 37 and live with DH, my DS Felix, 23 months and DD Aurelia, 8 weeks, in East Herts. My lovely DD does not sleep thru but i give not a fig as her waking up just once is bliss compared to what DS was like.

After my terrible day Tues, I feel quite proud of myself today. Highlights include:

  • Discovering the joys of chucking the baby in a sling (not so good was when DS accidentally head-butted her when I was dressing him Shock)
  • Expressing 5oz (always inordinately proud of seeing my milk in a bottle Hmm
  • Finishing evening course homework over breakfast
  • Getting DS to sleep without trench warfare (thanks to baby being in the sling I could concentrate on getting him down for his nap without running back and forth to see to crying DD as per tues)
  • Making play dough
  • Getting out for a walk

tsc yup, we did expertly kill that thread together. Let's hope this one is a little more robust.

I'm feeling for you re Frankie not taking a bottle. Felix wouldn't either - he held out until he was 14 months, the little rat. I was so determined that Aurelia would (esp as I'd booked to do an evening course before I had her) and she took the bottle no probs at all. Hope you can convince Frankie to take one soon.

Grin at tsc's 'dust off your hats girls...'

stac14 · 24/09/2010 00:09

at least your still getting out. The fundraiser is for a guy they know, he fell downstair and badly injured his leg and was unconcious, he was lying there for 15 hours and gangarene set in, guy had to get his leg amputated and is seriously ill so they are raising money for adaptions to his house, the unit he is in etc. He's quite young too. Lol at the big cock, you gave me a laugh bout your dodgey messages, it happens theres nowt i can do now x

it was actually quite a funny one - something like the differences between mumsnet and t'other place.

we were busy taking the piss of the hunnyish behaviour there and then got all hunnyish ourselves talking bout our babes.

interior design - had fun painting tonight. getting covered in yellow paint (i even had it in my hair) made a smashing change from being covered in yellow poo.

stac14 · 24/09/2010 00:24

satc14 just reread my post and to clarify, I'm not doing an evening course in 'The differences between MN and NM', although that would be ace Wink

tsc at the risk of killing this thread, I have to tell you that my baby is divine Smile She's just starting to get really smiley which totally kills me. I kinda woke up DH last night to say 'Aw, look at her smiling' (after a 5am feed).

I think you'll be the MIL to rival even your own devil incarnate MIL if your Frankie-love doesn't diminish during his grotbag teen years Wink

Mind you, I had a taste of teenhood yesterday when evil-teething-2yo was calm for 5 minutes: when i investigated further it was because he he was playing with his willy (in the bath) Hmm

DesperateHousewife21 · 24/09/2010 08:49

Looks like its literally just me and chulita with night owl babies Hmm

Dylan went down at 9pm, woke at 11pm, fed him but he pissed around for ages which is so unlike him, he then woke at about 12:30, fed him and kept him in our bed, woke at 5:45, then 6:45, then 8. Im tired to say the least.

Going shopping with a friend today, its going to rain but still, nothing stops me shopping!

Also, Dylans farts really smell now, how can they smell he doesnt eat anything!

nixster28 · 24/09/2010 09:04
