memphis you explained how low you felt etc and she said all mums feel that way, what an arse. Yes most mums feel tired, hormonal blah blah but general rule of thumb is if you dont feel better after 6wks then they should look more closely at whats going on. Also why should assume the app was wrong, what shits i would torch the joint lmao. What tattoo did you get?

Lucky you mlic i have a pair of bailey button that i love but i fancy long ones for this winter. What ones did you get?

Thats good to know spireal at least it will be over soon lol. How does it feel being at work? The naming ceremony sounds lovely

Rileigh at the hospital tomorrow, be good to see what they have to say x

Hello again,

mlic muffins are on the table in the corner :)
Out of curiosity - which coast? My mum is thinking of moving east and I just wonder what it's like. (and I'm a nosey bugger Grin ) Oh, and iron thingfs as and when I need to. I iron the kids school uniforms and sometimes dh's work shirts if he's lucky and thats it!!

cake Grin....fuckwitch.....tee hee...really made me chuckle GrinGrin

viks Corey will be 15wks on friday, he was weighed today and is dead up 12lbs Grin, exactly 2 wks agohe was 10 lbs 9oz!! Am very very happy with todays 'result'.

Feeling a bit crappy today cos ds1 has a schoool trip next Tuesday and I've told him I can't go with him because Corey can't go, and even if he could I dooubt 23 3 and 4 yr olds will want to see Rios mummy getting her boobies out for the baby :(. He makes me feel so guilty :(
I might offer to take him and dd for the day instead when daddy's at home that way he can tell me what he did with his school? Think that'll work?
Hope so!!

Hope you're all well, I've probably x-posted with about a hundred of you cos I'm currentl;y doing the left handed bf type style that I'm sure you're familar with?

Take care everyone xxx (sleep well?)

mlic when i saw the hv last week i stressed i needed to speak to her, ive called since in tears on voicemail and she hasnt called me back, they offer councelling for traumatic births and said there is a 6 month wait so im better dealing with it myself!! one thing she did say was mother and baby groups are a good, a new group started today near me so im going go after half term! youve inspired me though, i think im going to treat myself to new uggs!!
stac hope you get some answers tomorrow, glad you agree about torching the joint, wish it was a viable option! I had Lyndons name tattooed, very small and dainty, thank god ive become a wimp it hurt!! this comes from someone with tattoos on wrists and down my spine from neck to bum!
gave Lyndon lactulose to clear him out poor thing been crying out trying to go toilet, he well and truely clesred himself out tonight then went straight to sleep! looked relieved when he did it bless him!
needle im the same love being a mum, my friends mostlt still live at home and dont get that i enjoy staying in rather than getting wasted!

CherryPie3 · 13/10/2010 21:16

Just saying hello and goodnight. Haven't had a mo to post as have had an awful day. Started with A's jabs which I had to take F with me too - and my appt ran half hour late.

Day0 ended with our elderly neighbour coming to us for help after being burglad by masked men who had knocked her down and kept her there an hour whilst they went thru her (v large) house. Had the police and ambulance in our house til 10.30. She's gone off to hospital now to be checked over. She's in total shock, the poor thing.

Night all.

Need to get some sleep now as it's F's bday in the morning!

Morning all,

It seems the bathing every night helps Dylan get off to sleep, he knows its bedtime at that time now which is nice, I get some of my evening back!

He still wakes twice a night, can be anytime but they are usually 3 hours apart. Hes staying asleep til half 7/8 now though which is much better!

This is why you cant really sleep train a baby this age, they change so much. Your just getting a routine in place then they go and mess it up, go with the flow I say!

We are all going to go for a walk in the woods later today, its quite chilly so Dylan will finally get to wear his (too small) coat. When it gets really cold Im going to get him a snowsuit Grin

Hope everyone has a good day :)

Hiya ladies.

memphis, I would be seathing in your position re hv. I don't have one, because after the first time I saw hee she said she didn't need to see us again, and I was kind of pleased, because dh and I have this weird thing about state intervention, but to write you off when you're asking for help? That's disgusting.

Urgh, looong day yesterday- I bought a load of new clothes, but couldn't try them on, as I had baby in the sling, so when I got home they were all about two sizes too big and now I have to trips back and return them. I can't believe how hard it is to buy vests and tank tops- cheap ones always look too thin, and I can't bring myself to buy expensive ones.

mlic, you made me feel so guilty that I did all my ironing last night, so I guess I owe you a thank you! love the boots BTW. I don't have any uggs. can I stay, or do I have to go and sit with the saddos?

stac14 · 14/10/2010 08:49

cakes thats shocking, she must be traumatised. People that do things like that are sick in the head. Are you ok? How is she now? Happy birthday to f

Nice choice mlic i'm still in 2 minds. Thats rotten you had a crap night, what times your app? Let us know how you get on

Your right dh they lull you into a false sense of security then change it lol. Rileigh was great now shes back to being hungry at night. Enjoy your walk. We got rileigh a snowsuit but its 3-6m and think we need the next size for it to last

I am shattered, feel sick and just out of sorts, wasnt rileigh for a change she woke at 5am then at 8 in the big cot too lol. So taking her to the hospital then think we need to take mil to get a winter jacket,i just want my bed lol

Morning,

cake thats awfull, hope she is ok. Are u doing anything nice for F's birthday, hope u have a nice day.
stac devon woke at 4 had 50z and then again at 8ish and had 6oz so he is obviously waking with hunger so i dont mind really. DH u are right, i am really working on a routine in the day though. Stac Whats wrong? Do u think u have a virus or somehing? U asked about 'The baby wisperer' i could tell u all about it however i havent had a chance to really read it properly, it seems every time i pick it up something happenes and it doesnt get read. The little i have read is enlightening re watching for signs e.g get baby down to sleep after first yawn to prevent over tiredness etc.
I feel quite tired today i have to admit, the broken sleep is hard isnt it, i think im going to have to go back to power naps in the day. Nothing planned today though so i think i may just chillout. Tomorrow we are heading to Brum after DH finishes work so a late one. It will coinside with Devons sleep though so thats at least good.
Sat here watching Devon reaching out and trying to grab toys on his activity mat, amazing, i could just sit and watch all day!

Spirael · 14/10/2010 11:41

Morning all! Back in the office again for me. :) I did all my catching up yesterday so I'm actually working today (current MNing aside!) which feels both comfortingly familiar and strange at the same time!

I meant to say yesterday... viksam, I'm back full time in April and I've got Mindy's nursery already sorted. :) In my excessively organised way I was looking around nurseries before she was born and had her signed up before she was a month old... Blush I just wanted to know it was all arranged.

A bit jealous that Devon is reaching for things already! Mindy doesn't seem interested in reaching out and grabbing hanging/offered toys; though she has perfected yanking my necklace/pulling my hair/throwing my glasses on the floor when her hand touches them while feeding. Hmm

Anyway, mothers of troubled sleepers, stop reading now! I mean it, stop reading. Have you stopped? Good!

Last night Mindy slept... 8:30pm - 7:30am! Shock And the only reason she woke then was because I needed to get her up to feed her before I went to work. Confused I might try and set her down at 8pm tonight...

CakeandRoses · 14/10/2010 12:15

mlic was the fb comment meant for cherry?

Chulita · 14/10/2010 13:03

cakes how horrible for your neighbour!

Sam's back to feeding twice now, about midnight and then about 5. Annoyingly I get him back to sleep just as DD wakes up so my days start at 5am these days.

I have to confess [whispers] I'm not a fan of uggs but I'm trying to convince DH that I need a pair of these so we'll see how lucky I get!

I still need S to have his first jabs, they seem really reluctant to book him in for some reason...

Thats a brill weight mlic. Hopefully this formula will do something. But is he gettin any reaction to it? I thought he just wouldnt suck? its so frustrating id say. But bril weight.
Ellie had her check up yesterday and she is 13lb 15oz. Hv said becaise shes taking such big bottles (8oz) and shes formula fed that i should introduce a spoonfeed at 16 weeks. I asked why and that i wasnt sure if id be comfortable doing it that soon and she said breast fed babies wait til 6 months and ff between 4 and 6 months and because shes on the 8oz bottles now that they're soon not going tp satisfy her. Argh i had it in my head to wait til nearly 6 months. I dunno il see how everything is in a few weeks and decide then but for now i think il stick to the plan on leaving it as long as possible.
On the uggs thing id love a real pair buy just cant afford them so may forget it. Mite get some for christmas!

hi ladies, i've been out all day. The pead was great she defo has reflux and her ranitadine was increased and she said that the gaviscon causes bad constipation so its no good for her. We have to change her teat as she takes ages to feed and its cause the milk is so thick. All in all she is doing well and has to go for a check on 23rd december. mlic thats a great weight gain, he weighs more than rileigh lol. viks think i'm just tired, going to make dinner and get dp to take lo so i can have a snooze. It feels like a saturday as dp is off lol. Hows everyones day been? X

Hello All,

Can I re-join? My baby son was born on 18th July and I've been so swamped with coping with motherhood and going to mums and babies groups that I've had no Internet time. I occasionally read up to see how everyone's doing but don't manage to post.

I am really relieved to hear about all the irregular sleeping and feeding. My LO has been going down at 8pm after a feed but then waking for feeds at 12.30 am, 4,30 am and 6.15 am. He is all smiles and chat at the 6.15 am feed so there's no going back to bed for him and he only takes a decent daytime nap every couple of days so it's all pretty exhausting. He's always been a frequent feeder and poor napper but has been exceptionally so this last five days (since he turned 12 weeks). I have even introduced a supplementary bottle of formula ay 7pm but it has made no difference other than to the number of dirty nappies he produces Confused.

Hard work, these little people. Not sure what I was expecting but had no idea it would be so tough. Equally, I am surprised by the strength of my feeling for this dear little person and how unshakeable it is despite the challenges of sleep deprivation and feeding exhaustion.

I am trying to cut down on outings a bit as I am run down so hope to be in touch more on here.

D x
