morning ladies, rileigh woke again at 3 and 6 for a feed, she only took ounce before bed though. Think it was cos dp took her to his mums and she didnt feed at her normal time. She is also going into her cot this week as the moses basket is too small think she needs to spread out like gwen ane ellie.

Lucky you dh where is bluewater are you getting anything nice?

mlic dp and i had a similar convo, not that i dont have to go back to work more that i've not to rush so that suits me lol. Bet your glad hun. Take it your in the same boat as me and cant wait to thursday for the cons so they can fix our lo's (hopefully) x

needle i never let Lyndon fall asleep on me, i sound so mean but now he falls asleep on his own, in the night if he wakes i feed him then put him in cot if he doesnt want to sleep he lies there cooing as hes used to falling back asleep alone, my cousin has 2 children olest is 4, and its never been to sleep in own bed, had a handcarved traditional cot made by their grandad and it never used it,not even once. so now they have 4 in a double bed, shocking thing is i hope they didnt 'make' baby 2 with toddler in bed! so maybe ive been too strict the other way?! but i struggled to share a bed with dh so not sharing with my other little man too!!
cakes will try and get a pic on this week! went to john lewis found a fab xmas sact all different xmas fabric but it was £25 so im going to make my own!

i have a confession.....i dont just iron Lyndons clothes I IRON TEATOWELS please dont kick me out, i may have creased clothes on but at least the teatowels look nice!!

Needle · 12/10/2010 13:50

Lol, I spend an inordinate amount of time ironing dh's handkerchiefs.

Gwen slept all night in the cot last night, so perhaps it was just the growth spurt waking her up.

what a cheeky cow tsc how long are you staying with her? I'd want to punch her then go back home

I iron as i need it and no dont do teatowels, pillows or duvets. I used to stand for hours but ds's stuff would need done again as he would mess the drawers so i gave up

Got rileigh weighed and measured ahead of cons app and she is 66cm and 14lb 15oz above the 98th centile so very tall lol x

Will have to ring her again and see whats going on cos irs a bit ridiculous.
Tsc what an absolute bitch. If she cant get along with the name you have chose for YOUR child then let her fuck right off. Its none of her business if you wanted to call him houdini, she just has to put up or shut up cos its nothing got to do with her
needles good news on gwen!!

memphis83 · 12/10/2010 15:17

wow stac thats long, Lyndons trousers are all rolled up twice hes got such short legs!
tsc why do you bother i wouldnt even give her the good grace of ever seeing her grandkids again, i would also e mail back oh we dont like your name either thats why we call you granny grotbags. my dads mum is desperate to meet Lyndon, its never going to happen she can rot, I call her Hitler, shes a witch that needs burning lovely old soul!
im on outfit number 3 already today and ive just ironed over 20 bibs, thats since saturday!! lets hope the doctor finds out why hes so sick tomorrow, told dh im kicking off until they do something even if its suggest soy, though they pushed against it last time, he is dreading it as he will be there with me, he says babys throw up!! ive given him a bottle and i reckon hes thrown 90% of it up also dropped his bottles down to half as he wont drink it!

PipIsOutNow · 12/10/2010 15:44

Afternoon all. :) I survived the 3 month growth spurt! Can I have a badge? Wink

We're back to normal patterns now. I've introduced a 6 fl oz bottle of formula that DH gives in the early evening, and that seems to be keeping Mindy happy until the bedtime feed. Grin Now I just need to persuade her to settle earlier ...

66cm is tall, stac! Shock Mindy has finally slowed down with height recently, she was 61cm a couple of weeks ago. I think she was about 14lbs-something too though. Means she's finally getting a bit chubbier so the trousers don't fall down as much!

I'm on my third outfit today too, memphis. Mindy seems to be having fun drawing a mouthful of milk then seeing how far she can spit it out at present. Hmm She giggles and smiles afterwards as I try and damage control with muslins, so I'm not too worried!

I've just taken a batch of chocolate brownies out of the oven (DH and I love baking!) and I'm happy to report that I only iron under sufferance (maybe once per month...) and never do towels/bedsheets/bibs. Can I stay?? Grin

I actually do need to iron our clothes for Mindy's naming ceremony at some point. Hmm It's this Saturday! Still having issues with some religious members of my extended family upset it's not a Christening. :( Apparently my poor Mum and Uncle got an earful yesterday from their Mum about it!

I feel a bit bad as it's not their fault. I'm kinda worried though that I'll get my telling off on Saturday... Confused

Anyway [waves] to CherryPie! Grin Now that things are calming down a bit, did you want to meet up at some point?

stac14 · 12/10/2010 16:40

they must be roughly the same spireal born on the same day amd tall girls lol glad your growth spurt is over, how long did it last? rileigh needs put back into her routine lol x

Chulita · 12/10/2010 16:49

[tsc] what a cow!! I can't believe she said that...don't let her get away with it. FIL said when I said that if we had a girl I'd like to call her Daisy that he'd never be able to call her that and would end up calling her 'Moo', I still like Daisy and if I get one and he moos he's out, never to return - I can't stand him.

stac good going on the weight gain! :) (Rileigh that is lol)

Haven't been on much cos internet was down yesterday and I'm feeling really crushed under everything that's going on. I'll post when I've got my head around life I think...

argh, was going to answer needle but Sam's just started crying again he's only been off me for about an hour total today :(

stac14 · 12/10/2010 17:14

thanks chul hopefu;;y things calm down hun xx

memphis83 · 12/10/2010 17:47

spirael where are you having naming ceremony and who conducts it? i think this may shut the religious lot up!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 12/10/2010 18:37

stac its a shopping centre just south of London. We had a very nice day, as I said on fb lol.

Dylan just wants to sleep on my boob tonight, he finds it so hard to sleep in the day even in the car/buggy, then he crashes around this time. I need to give him a bath and get him changed tho Hmm

Chulita · 12/10/2010 19:41

spirael yea, how long did it last? Sam's been feeding more than usual and not feeding properly but pulling/biting/griping even more than he normally does. Fricking hard work this... We're 'religious' if you like, church-going christians and we believe in infant baptism. We asked my dad to baptise Lucy last year when she was 7 months old, in our back garden. The in-laws were not impressed at all thinking we should a) wait til she's old enough to make the decision herself and b) have it done in a church with all the trimmings. Stuff them :) She's our girly and we do what we believe we should...didn't go down too well but FIL ate his bodyweight in chocolate cheesecake so it wasn't all bad for him lol!

memphis I don't even change Sam when he throws up now, we just go round stinking of off milk. If I changed him everytime I wouldn't do anything else. My shirt has sick all down the back, front (it pooled in my cleavage) and under one arm from today, the sofa got it twice as did the bottom stair. I just hope he grows out of it as the GP flatly refused to prescribe Ranitidene and told me to feed him less and give him more Gaviscon...git

CherryPie3 · 12/10/2010 20:09

Evening :)

Thank you for welcominh me into your (very active) thread.

Stac I have 2 older children, a girl Sophie aged 5 going on 15!! Little madam she is, also have a little power ranger crazy son Rio aged 4.

DH how about a tray of white chocolate muffins?? I used milky bar, kitchen smelled gorgeous when they were baking :)

needle I've given up on baby weight, keep telling myself that it has to go but theres never a good day to start a diet is there? Bit nervous about Corey's size cos even though he seems huge to me the hv wants his weight checking cos he's not gaining quickly enough, when he was weighed 2 weeks ago he was only 10lbs 9oz - hoping he's well over 11bs tomorrow when he's weighed again.
WRT to leaving babies crying - sometimes I just have to leave C to cry if I'm cooking/bathing etc, I have to make sue dd and ds1 are ok too. I usually put C to bed awake, when he wakes at 4am he's usually dropped off on the boob so he goes down asleep after his night feed - does that make sense??

memphis Buns, cupcakes, muffins etc are my fave things to bake cos they're so quick!! I like biscuits and cookies too but save those for when the kids are in so they can choose the cutter :)
Hope you got some bargains on ebay - I end up spending loads when I'm feeding Corey cos I just go on ebay with my phone!

mlic well....Corey was sleeping through, but now seems to think 4am is a decent hour for breakfast and playtime Hmm. It doesn't seem to matter what I do to try and get him to sleep longer it doesn't work!! And with me bf it isn't like I can kick wake dh.
Oh, and I'm from 'up Norf' too - west yorkshire (about 10miles from Spirael) - you?

Just remind me what ironing is again, and that housework word sounds distantly familiar too...

cake I've found that it doesn't make much what I eat as much as drink with causing wind for C. He's been a bottom-windy baby from about day 3!! I'm a coffee drinker (de-caf only) and I bthink maybe it's that - he doesn't usually cry out with it tho.

tsc 'granny' sounds a little but ruse and disrespectful!!

Spirael [waves] Sounds like a great idea to meet up but I've no idea when I'll get time cos I have 3 school runs to do through the day, 8:40, 11:40 and 3:30 - doesn't leave much time to do anything!
Mindy sounds like she's coming on in leaps and bounds!! Corey is on the small side in comparison,[whispers... maybe the hv was right].
The naming ceremony sounds like a great alternative to a christening, we haven't bothered getting any of our children christened as we feel it would be hypocritical of us and a waste of money - tha family would probably only see it as an excuse to party anyhow...

Hiiii chulita!!

Wow thats a monster post!! Hope everyone is well...:)

tsc please don't stoop to her level or even think about hitting her. It would behove you to maintain the moral high ground using courteous replies such as:

"That's absolutely fine, it actually makes it easier for us to ask you if it's ok if the DCs call you 'Fuck-Witch' in future, as they weren't getting on with 'Granny"

or

"I totally understand, my dear. In fact, I was expecting you to say that as DP said that now you're old and struggling with your teeth you might not manage to say 'Francis'

Grin

Seriously, DP needs to take that hell hound down. You're a far better woman than I to make any effort with her at all.
