your poor boy tsc let us know what the docs says xx

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 28/09/2010 16:56

Tsc - sounds like taking Frankie to the docs makes sense. Is it a cold? Can you chuck him in a sling so you can manage dd2? Hope it goes well at docs.

Ah, it was just a joke as I saw you worrying that ppl might think you were posting under another name as someone else had the same views (and language) as you on sirboobs's latest 'demonised for bf' thread! Made me chuckle!

Nah, not another - the one in august. I only just saw it yesterday.

You were quite diplomatic on it I thought!

dh good to hear dylan was ok after jabs lyndons are tomorrow morning and ive made plans to meet a friend and her kids for lunch hoping he will sleep any effects off!

stac14 · 28/09/2010 20:12

memphis the reflux can make them ill, is he still on the gaviscon? Hope he's better hun x

OP posts:
memphis83 · 28/09/2010 20:37

yes hes still on gaviscon, as soon as he finishes his bottle hes throws up and it is really thick and curdles like gone off milk!?! need to see doc for him and also me, been spinny and dizzy for a few weeks and keep having episodes of pressure in throat where i cant breath properly, think its tiredness, hv says iron levels maybe so going for blood tests!

stac14 · 28/09/2010 21:28

get to the docs as soon as memphis you dont want to mess around with your health. Rileigh ended up constipated on the gaviscon and her sick was thick then started refusing her feeds. Suggest ranitadine and carobel, it has help rileigh loads. Let us know how you get on x

oh god, poor Frankie. it sounds as tho they've given him a v thorough check tho which is reassuring. It's also good that he's a big, strong boy.

don't feel guilty about initially not thinking of taking him to docs. it's so hard to know what to do - i've taken ds tons of times and been looked at like Hmm 'Acute case of PFBitis' and then other times I've waited to see how things developed and then taken him a couple of day later, only to be treated like i'm an unfit mother for taking chances with my child's health.

Needle · 28/09/2010 22:58

Oh God.

Looks like Gwendolyn is the latest to be struck down- she's thrown up every feed since yesterday morning and is all constipiated. She's been sucking her hands and drooling too, so i think the poor mite is constipated on top of eveything else.

Awful, awful day.
Baby's ill, i'm feeling fat and horrible and then ended up having a huge row with DH half way down The Strand and storming off without him. It's bloody difficult to storm on one of the country's most crowded streets, surrounded by tourists and pushing a giant pram, so my storm was really too sluggish to have any effect.

stac14 · 28/09/2010 23:03

tsc saw your status on facebook, poor frankie and you. As cakes says looks like they have been thorough. Please let us know how he is, if you get the chance. Dont feel bad bout docs hun x

OP posts:
stac14 · 28/09/2010 23:07

needles you ok? Seems to be a lot going around, a few of my friends kids are ill so i'm in hibernation with mine. Even if you can get her to drink water will help the constipation. kk was advised water with some brown sugar really helps x

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 28/09/2010 23:18

oh needle - what is it with all our children at the mo? (that makes it sound like you and i have parented 10 children together Grin)

don't want to jinx it but ds seems to be over his bug now. There does seem to be this 24 hour thing going round so fingers cross Gwendolyn will be better v quickly.

With you on the fat/horrible thing. I've suddenly decided this extra bloody stone is simply unreasonable! Last time it took 3m before I properly fit my pre-pg clothes but it feels longer this time (altho it obv isn't). I didn't do anything proactive to lose it last time (other than bf and quite a bit of walking), so I was kind of hoping the same would happen again but I'm panicking a bit now thinking a month isn't long to lose a stone!

sorry, i did snort a bit at your undramatic slo-mo storm!

have you forgiven him now?

i've given up storming off or not talking to dh now if i'm annoyed with him as i can see the thought go thru his mind "oh goodie, i'll download that iphone app/complete the level on my xbox".

these days i just mete out punishments "because you were rude to me, you can 1. apologise 2. hang the washing and 3. make me a cup of tea"

Needle · 28/09/2010 23:45

Cakes, if I tried that with dh, I'd more than likely get a smacked bum. He did come home with flowers and an apology though, which was nice. we're having a bad few weeks, but i think we're coming to the end of it now. we've just go so much on, with the move and the theatre and the baby and everything.

I'm considering writing a list to keep track of all the rows currently going on in my life. I fear that some of them have been neglected and gone cold in thee last few weeks...

God, I hope everyone's babies are on the mend. I'm going to take gwen go the weigh in tomorrow, so perhaps I can ask someone there. I meant to say before that she was teathing, I think.

that was the other crappy thing that happened this morning: I bought myself a new cashmere cardi last week- primark cashmere, but still nicer than my usual acrylic rubbish, anyway, first time I put it on this morning to answer the door to a man delivering a skip and by the time I got there, there was baby sick all down my back. no makeup, slippers with pompoms and baby sick all over me. glam.

stac14 · 28/09/2010 23:51

liking the punishment thing cakes must try that lol. I don't tend to storm off but i am a shouter, but I refuse to do it in front of the kids so i've taking to stern talking then ignoring until appologies/grovelling appears.

I can't sleep, dh and dog are snoring and rileighs groaning, would go to the sitting room but Im afraid i wont hear rileigh if she wakes. Think the dog and dp will be getting a nudge. Has anyones lo's had 2nd jabs? And how were they afterwards? X

OP posts:
kkfairybrains · 29/09/2010 00:18

Oh god all the sick babies :-( cant imagine you will sleep much is right tsc. Needles hope gwen is bit better for you tomorrow and sorry your having such a crappy time in general.
Memphis are you taking iron tablets still?? hope you can get something else sorted for lyndons reflux soon
well im going to stop listening to the older generation telling me what to do wrt weaning. Im going to go with what im comfortable with and im not comfortable doing it anytime soon and want to wait as long as possible as they're getting they need from the milk and as cakes says the solids are less calorific. So annoying listening to people saying 'mine were on a spoonfeed weeks at this stage'.

in other news i had slimming worldnthis eve and am down 3 pound this week!
