totally agree with all those posts!

Have you taken a picture of Linus walking yet SL...I can't wait to see it..I bet he looks a cheeky chap..I love it when they do that smug "i'm doing something new" smile!

Sam is almost crawling...rocking lots and going backwards so it won't be long (eek!). Got 8 month check this afternoon (despite him being 9 months next week!).

pjsmum · 01/11/2005 12:25

Hi all, hope all is well. Polly had her 8 month check yesterday. Charmed her way through it all, kept clapping! Anyway all is well, development fine. Was told i have to give her more finger food, really don't want to it scares me!!

roosmoo · 01/11/2005 12:45

hi mummies...

don't seem to get round to this thread of late - have been having a minor career path crisis elsewhere on MN...

well done to babes being cute & precocious! SL, would also love to see L walking, i'm dead impressed!

how's the zapp HN? i'm still umming over the footmuff!

would have to agree, cod is pretty awful, & i don't 'get' the following she has on MN. just not funny.

Hazellnut · 01/11/2005 14:05

Sorry to hear about the career crisis Roosmoo - have posted on your other thread as I am surrounded by people in that field !!

On the subject of the Zapp (am whispering as did promise never to talk about it again) - its fab. DD even slept in it the other day (didn't actually go to sleep in it but once asleep was plonked in it fine and slept for a while). DH is very impressed it all zips up into a little bag - keeps the boot nice and tidy (he's a bit sad likee that !). As for the footmuff, I would say go for it as it looks ace. Haven't used it but its all nicely designed and comes in its own little bag too !!!!!! I just love the fact it has lots of design detail..... right you can all wake up now !! As for the abandoned Mac. My friend who I leant it to doesn't like it either so I am getting it back - booooooo so am going to try and sell it so no posting rude comments on my for sale thread.....

startingtobehalloweenylover · 01/11/2005 15:30

hello everyone!
phew, nice to see a few people agree with me about cod! i e-mailed mumsnet to complain about her but have had no reply.
Was seriously thinking about leaving MN because, as Nik says, it's like being in a playground! No-one else would get away with treating people like cod does and it really gets my goat!
I'm so sick of hearing the whole "oh it's the internet we can say what we like" well, sorry but no, you can't... whatever happened to having a baasic bit of respect for other people and their feelings????

ok... rant over!

We have video footage of Linus which ought to be going on his site somewhen soon(ish)... ie whenever dp gets around to doing it!
I do have a couple of pics but they aren't great... will post on member profiles in a moment. I was hindered slightly by the fact that as soon as he sees the camera he drops to the floor and tries to wrestle it off me!! lol

Am calm now after the supermarket debacle! My christmas pud is cooking as we speak... it takes 10 hours!!!!! if i'd known that before i started i wouldn't have bothered!

Nik.. glad you had a nice time away... I find I really benefit from a change of scenery for a few days every few months or so! My mum also admitted that kids were harder than she remembered... after nagging me for weeks about my untidy flat lol

we have appt for 8 month check on the 9th... Linus will be just over 9 months. Hopefully he will behave himself and do everything he is supposed to!

startingtobehalloweenylover · 01/11/2005 15:48

ok an action shot can now be seen here!

futurity · 02/11/2005 14:13

Just had a peak at Linus site and saw the picture of him walking with his bricks...I'm a blown away by him...my first son didn't do this until probably 13-14 months and Linus is not even 9 months! Seriously impressed!

futurity · 03/11/2005 18:32

well war has started here...Sam started crawling last night and no stopping him...and why play with his toys when he can get to his brothers "HE'S TRASHING MY CARS!" has been heard this evening....

starlover · 03/11/2005 19:05

thanks futurity... i am pretty impressed myself!

well done on sam with his crawling... bet your other ds wishes he wasn't though! bless him

Still going backwards here though at increasing speed! Can't believe how fast Linus is up & about, feels like yesterday it was all birth announcements....

On the buggy front, was most put out the other day when my zapp was insulted in the street!! I thought dd looked pretty cool in it, mauve footmuff and all when I heard "Oi, your buggy's f*ing ridiculous" shouted at me!! Decided to be aloof & pretend I hadn't heard but nearly retaliated as the shouter was pushing her baby ina mere McLaren and was teetering along in white stilettos, too tight jeans with cropped top & gut combo. However she had 2 pals with her and as I wasn't exactly looking stylish myself (purple feece and booble hat [shame]) decided not to start a fight.

Honestly, though - the cheek. If I had a bugaboo (yuk) I'd understand...

nik72 · 03/11/2005 19:15

purple FLEECE. Grrr.

starlover · 03/11/2005 19:17

Nik! I can't believe someone said that to you! Blimmin chav scum! how totally rude!

OP posts:
Hazellnut · 03/11/2005 19:18

Well done Sam - no doubt big bro will be able to get his own back !!

DD has been pulling herself up today on anything she can - but still no crawling - strange child ......

MIL has just rung me to say 'would Anna like a father christmas outfit' ... which turned out to be 'I have bought her one and want a photo of her in it'. Grrrr s'pose she could wear it christmas eve but I wanted her in a nice pretty outfit for once on christmas day !! Also, having spent ages putting together a list of presents that A would like, MIL clearly doesn't like any of them as she said 'are there any toys I can get her' and there are some on there that are in the price range she was talking about. Probably cos we put one of those little train sets from brio on it and she wouldn't think that was suitable as she is a girl (I s'pose if I am begrudgingly trying to be fair she did have 2 boys so is probably sick of train sets but if she buys her one of those baby doll things I shall spew....... tee hee ).

nik72 · 03/11/2005 19:20

I know, cheeky bitch! Gave me a laugh though.

misdee · 03/11/2005 19:20

my zapp sold for 82pounds. not bad seeintg i only paid 95 lol.

Hazellnut · 03/11/2005 19:20

and at Zapp comments .. how DARE they say such things about such a fab buggy.... let me at 'em... let me at 'em.... hope her stilleto heel snaps....

Whilst we're on the subject of buggies again SL you should have sent Gobbledegook my way for a triumph.....

nik72 · 03/11/2005 19:24

Crikey, Hazellnut, hope the outfit istn't complete with beard too! Know what you mean with gifts, we really don't want any more clothes and would ideally like to specify what we want for her but it seems a little mean....difficult to find a compromise which doesn't result in a house full of plastic tat....

misdee · 03/11/2005 19:24

oooo hazelnut how much

Hazellnut · 03/11/2005 19:29

Nik you just made me laugh at the thought of dd wearing santa suit complete with beard.... I must teach her to say ho ho ho by then..... Agree with you about being mean asking for things BUT my MIL insisted on a list and then clearly doesn't like it !! You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't......

Misdee... you serious ?! Would consider reasonable-ish offers on it ! Currently have one buggy/pram in downstairs cupbaord, one in boot of car and one in hall so need to get rid of it asap !! It IS in v. good condition as we didn't use it much - can send photos if you would like !

misdee · 03/11/2005 19:30

i cant lol.i just sold mine a few months ago for 20quid (when i got the zapp actually) and have regretted it lately. but have a lovely maclaren ryder now lol.

Hazellnut · 03/11/2005 19:32

that's ok - thought it was a bit unlikely considering your recent purchase, even for a buggyholic like yourself . Must get it on the for sale thread or ebay...

Hazellnut · 03/11/2005 19:33

or maybe I should just hide it in the loft in case I change my mind again .....

starlover · 03/11/2005 19:44

hehehe i briefly considered santa outfit for Linus but have now changed my mind.
Have been searching for a plain white shirt today to no avail
so if anyone spots one let me know!!!!

no-one has asked me yet what Linus would like... I do have a list though! Know what you mean about the plastic tat... we only have so much space in the flat and I really don't want it filled with big pieces of brightly coloured plastic rubbish! lol

serena has a santa outfit. i feel i need to make this xmas memorable and take laods of snaps, afterall, u never what the new year will hold

futurity · 03/11/2005 20:02

I feel bad because I have started thinking about what Adam my eldest would like for Xmas (and his birthday which is in January) but haven't thought at all about Sam...bad Mummy! So difficult as already have a house full of boys stuff.
