New Fred. Apologies for dullness of title - we need curly for witticisms.

Squeaks loves the igglepiggle song ski! Makes her switch to happy face.

Back from adventures, but somewhat preoccupied with fabby news from the Palais.

Massive well done to boxy and cos. Both sound like great efforts. And you both have gorgeous boys!

Backinthebox · 12/09/2010 16:15

Ski In the Night Garden is fab - drugs without chemicals! Classic episodes like 'Only Upsy Daisy Sleeps in Upsy Daisy's bed' and 'Iggle Piggle's Mucky Patch.' And small children seem to like it too, which is always a bonus.

OH has just taken 'the kids' for their first family outing - yes! Cricket! He has gone to get there just in time for tea and DD will be able to play on the slides. It became clear though, that OH may have to hone his 'getting out of the house with 2 kids in less than an hour' skills a little. Hmm

organiccarrotcake · 12/09/2010 17:14

Ohhh box "the kids"!! I first said that and felt really self conscious, not helped by YOB laughing when I said it, then going all serious in an omigod we now have "kids"!

SilverSky · 12/09/2010 19:01

Yay for fast hacks! My hoss is a fatty So no rug til weather turns shite shite hopefully that will even out the weight gain ! Porker!

I am lying on our bed having a relax before our evening plans which tbh wish we hadn't made as the weekend has been manic and all I want is a bath and somewhere comfy to sit. The breakfast bar seats sat on backwards are quite comfy. Sort of. But indont want to spend the next 5-7 wks sitting in the kitchen like a loner. Luckily i am not in the orifice tmw tho I do have a blood test to get up for and an afternoon appt with the oven cleaner man and the dog food delivery man. Somewhere amongst that lot I have to sort the nag and the dawg. Might do yoga too tho I think I may be overdoing it if I drag my sorry butt to yoga as well as racing round during the day. It's a wonder I have time to work.

org saw yr m&p news - wicked!!!!!

curlycas pray what news in that their Palais pls to share.

box racehorse def sounds like a character perhaps puissance at Olympia could be his forte ?

Think MW yesterday was a FESH - the snacks were peanut cookies!!

SkiHorseWonAWean · 12/09/2010 19:07

silver I thought she might be a bit grumpy/lazy considering my recentweightgain, but she was absolutely raring to go.

Btw - has theorem. You know they say you only need an extra 200 calories a day when diffed? Tis big fat lie, what they actually mean is "BMR (basal metabolic rate) will drop by a minimum of 200 calories after laying of baybee".

I am meeting curly's REAL LIFE friend for coffee tomorrow morning. Will be on best behaviour with deodorant and washed hair and no risque FESH like confessions! Wink

Yes, character! That's the word they use for annoying horses that have a mind of their own, isn't it? Apparently has slightly knackered one leg. Good job he has 3 spare ones and I am not riding atm, or I would be extremely mad.

Good news - MW says the carnage is looking way better than expected, and pelvic-floor-of-steel is just temporarily on vacation. She had words to say about the bowling balls though!

organiccarrotcake · 12/09/2010 21:51

ski but will you brush your hair? Grin

Yey box

Thanks silver :)

SilverSky · 13/09/2010 07:04

I agree the whole calories eg don't over eat is complete shiz coz when you have newborn that won't allow you more than a few mins at a time to grab some grub that CLEARLY your body needs to live off it's fat reserves therefore the kindest thing you can do in pregnancy is to not deny yourself. Troooooof.

ski curlykale's pal will appreciate the personal hygiene efforts I am sure.

rotters let me know how much you want for your preggo ball?

Decided to not go to yoga - going to not over do it today. As got busy week at work when I go back and driving 30 mins each way to get there and tryingto squeeze everything in just to be able to go is crazy.

Today I am going to pack my hospital bag. Yes I am.

Pls to welcome suggestions of good snacks to pack in said bag.

CUNextTuesday · 13/09/2010 08:33

Still lucozade and cereal bars

CurlyCasper · 13/09/2010 08:50

deffo cereal bars

OkieCokie · 13/09/2010 09:34

In the Night Garden is the best. Iggle iggle aka in our house as "Giggle" is cleary the favourite. Bu Ski I am with you on the annoying noisy toys that inevitably grate after a mere 4 minutes.

OK, so OFP means no slouching on sofa, sitting on a ball and having hips higher than knees. Does anyone have any comfy tips for TV watching for the next 8 weeks? I have tried leaning over ball too moo and it hurts boobs too.

organiccarrotcake · 13/09/2010 09:50

silv nothing - let's make it a PESH ball to be passed onto the next in line when no longer needed. FB me your address :)

organiccarrotcake · 13/09/2010 09:54

Kneeling on floor with arms draped over ball. Boobs are a prob but this helps.

Sit on a kitchen chair backwards leaning over back of chair.

All-4s crawling on the floor or scrubbing the floor (may as well while you're down there!). (honestly). I did this for 30 mins, twice a day.

Adjust car seat to be upright as poss.

Sit on a low stool if you have one.

CluckyKate · 13/09/2010 10:24

Very wise Silver - don't want to over-do it! Giant chocolate buttons & Lucozade is good for snack-bag, also flapjack (big M&S bucket plz).

I has the day off too....waiting for Hippo-laydee to show-up for a chat. Course starts on Friday so v. excited.

Thinks I has got sciatica so off to the docs this arbo to get Osteo referral (and hopefully get BUPA to pick up the cost!)

FannyPriceless · 13/09/2010 10:40

Horsie FESHes - have a look at the photo on my profile. I am officially The Happiest Mummy of a Two Year Old Girl in the Entire Universe.Grin

Bonnie went riding for the first time yesterday and it was fab! We kept expectations low (have heard too many stories of kids wailing and screaming to be taken off) but she loved it! The best part was when we stopped and she looked at me very seriously and said 'Again.' Awww. My friend said it's the best first ride she's ever seen.

But in all the photos the person with the biggest grin was... me.Blush

rollerbaby · 13/09/2010 11:06

fanny that sounds VERY sweet!!! Off to have a looky.

rots are you seriously expecting me to clean my own floors????? Grin Grin

okie I sort of put my forearms down (a bit like if you are doing a plank) and lean on them to cushion the bazooka blow. Hairy moo comes and sits down under my legs. Is very sweet.

clucks good call on m&s bucket o snacks. Only problem with that is my biscuit munching hubba hubba. I told him he looked a bit like fat Preston (big brother) from his younger days on Friday. He wasn't vastly pleased. We have come to an understanding after heart 2 heart yesterday. We are doing hippo practice tonight and I even got 2 massages.

SilverSky · 13/09/2010 11:48

rots sounds like a very grand plan. Will fb ya shortly.

fp awwwwwwwwwwwwwww that is the cutesy piccie ever! What a happy jockey and such a awesome steed. Me wants pony like that. Or maybe three.

Been for blood test as hossie. Talk about factory line!!! Was not kept waiting long and took the opp to hit the shops so I managed to find the perfick stretchy cami thing to wear in the birhing pool. Assuming pool is avail etc etc.

I also learnt in the workshop that when you have contractions you shod lean forward, helps apparently.

Stupid q alert - is still lucozade just flat?

Will get cereal bars. Ta.

Also need to put together a list of people to call when things start happening so that the zoo is taken care of.

Having ten min sit down then it's dog walk before the oven man comes!

All change!!! Blooming dog food man is coming in 30mins so dog will have to wait. Nothing is ever straightforward is it!

Re - preggo ball again - it KILLS my buzwambas tondo the leaning on it manoevure so I will be doing the leaning against walk thang instead.

rollerbaby · 13/09/2010 11:59

Also silver big figure of 8 good whilst sitting on it. Stretches your pelvic floor or somefink. You can read up on it on spinning babies.

SilverSky · 13/09/2010 13:23

It's all about the hip swing ! Fanks moosical

SkiHorseWonAWean · 13/09/2010 13:35

Pics on cossie's flickr which show her on birth ball - a guide to us lesser mortals perhaps?

Is just back from coffee with curly's real-life person pal! She is brilliant (thanks curly!) - proper BESH material - funny, intelligent, bored witless, can't wait to get back to work/life etc. Grin We're going to the zoo to show the animals our baybeeees.

fanny What a lovely picture! Bear won't have a choice - as soon as he can sit upright(ish) he's on the nag - so that'll be about a month then! Wink

I have had a poo (well, not me obviously) of epic proportions this morning. Was literally just about to leave house when decided to have a last minute nappy change. Shock It was seeping out of the waistband and both legs - it was one of those where I didn't know whether I should strip off my clothes before tackling, whether I should just bung him under a power shower. It was actually between his fucking toes! ShockGrin He laughed the whole time as I was changing... which made me laugh too. Eventually.

Cosmosis · 13/09/2010 14:44

please to be explaining how you get them to sleep in moses basket and not on chest? I think he's been in it 3 times.

I spent most of yesterday afternoon in tears. TGO's sister and family came over, and my 9yo nephew was just loverly with Artie - he just couldn't stop touching him, holding him, pushed the pram when we went to the park. It was possibly the most beautiful sight I have ever seen he was so gentle with him.

I can't stop crying about how wonderful life is atm. I have lost all my hard faced bitchiness (did i mention my nickname at old job was the ice queen) and have turned into a big pile of mush.

oh and am quiverring with excitement as we are meeting iggs tomorrow> sqeeeeeeeeeel

SkiHorseWonAWean · 13/09/2010 14:47

cossie Maybe because Bear was early he was up for the sleeping so it was easy to encourage him... not so with Artie - he's got 2 week's worth of fun to catch up on! Wink

haha we all go through the mush stage - you will toughen back up though! Grin

Has observed most sinister thing evah - anyone got a musical mobile with little animals on? Is it not just a trifle disturbing that said animals are attached by the head/neck and as they spin around there's a jaunty little tune? Hmm

OP posts:
Cosmosis · 13/09/2010 14:55

lol yes we were saying that the other day re the animals.

Artie is a bit of a mess atm, because he was so late his skin is really dry so he's shedding a layer like a little snake! and hes got a crusy eye. Yet he is still the most beautiful thing i have ever seen.

Ariesgirl · 13/09/2010 15:07

Don't think I've said CONGRATS yet Cossie. Well done on your wellard labour and self control. All babies are gorgeous when they're born whether or not their skin is falling off. Troo. And make the most of your mushiness - I'm sure it won't last and you'll be back to being a hard, icy beyatch! I had a similar nickname in the Sixth Form

Sorry to lurk. I was invited over

Cosmosis · 13/09/2010 15:09

thanks aries :)
