New Fred. Apologies for dullness of title - we need curly for witticisms.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Backinthebox · 30/10/2010 15:12

Ow, ow, ow. DS has re-programmed my boobs again! I tell - you - I could take someone's eyes out with them! Seem to have gone into milk production overdrive - had to wear a sleep bra with extra breast pads last night, as I found myself sleeping in a puddle at 4am.

AlpinePony · 30/10/2010 15:28

Just in case you miss it on PESH, I texted silver about 5 hours ago and have had no response - she's normally very chatty and quick to respond...

Cosmosis · 30/10/2010 16:40

Ooooh......

AlpinePony · 30/10/2010 17:02

Just heard from her! She's in hospital having contractions! Grin

OkieCokie · 30/10/2010 19:47

Wonder if Silv will lay today or on moo's due date and Hallowe'en?? She will have to miss X Factor too.

No laying here FP. In fact baybee can't come until at least Thursday as reinforcements (my parents) don't arrive until then and I also want to do a bit more sitting around doing nothing next week - I am in no rush! Don?t get me wrong I can?t wait to meet him/her but I am enjoying a bit of me time atm while min c is at nursery and appreciate that may not get it for about another 16 years!!

Moo you need Mr Moo to give you a bit of a rub. I couldn?t get to sleep last night (despite natal hippo cd) as my back hurt so much. It is fine all week until Friday when I spend the day with mini C and haul him onto slides and into swings and stuff - it leaves me unable to walk by the end of the day.

rollerbaby · 30/10/2010 21:48

At least someone will lay on my date (we hope)!!!

I got Mr Moo to rub my back but I'm in a bit of a ow ow ow state. I can't put any pressure or bend down with my shoulder... fuck knows what I've done. If no better by Monday I may go to the physio just to see if they can do some magical manipulation.... not the greatest state to be in before the biggest physical exertion of your life, eh. Typical.

Can't wait to hear news from silver...

okie that's impressive, writing your xmas list already. I sent my mum a white company duplicate catalogue and will send page numbers! Boo to the cold. Lots of hot lemon and honey.

AlpinePony · 31/10/2010 06:56

okie You mean I can't just put Bear in kennels? Wink Arranging care for him when number 2 comes is going to be really tricky. I have no idea whether poor jailbait will have to handle everything or whether we'll get grandparents in. The dogs will go in to kennels next time around for sure - mind you, if I have elcs I'll have time to arrange this all!

rollerbaby · 31/10/2010 07:46

silver????? How is she doing I wonder?

So due date here, no baybee. Shoulder hurts like fuck. ARRRRRGGGHHHHHH. Raining too, yuck.

rollerbaby · 31/10/2010 07:51

OMG its an hour earlier too. Fucksticks.

AlpinePony · 31/10/2010 08:04

I had a quick text rally with her last night and she was very calm, very chilled and ready to batter HI because he wanted a Halloween baybee and liked the names: Damien, Freddy and Michael! HmmGrin She thought things were moving slowly and that she'd lay today.

Have had no text this morning and she must be awake because you know the nurses like to wake you at the crack of dawn even (especially) if you really need a little bit of fucking sleep!

AlpinePony · 31/10/2010 08:08

... and like magic I just got a text. She's had a quiet night, nothing much happening - she's having contractions but not feeling them. Docs are visiting her this morning to lay out their plan - she still thinks you'll pip her to the post honey! Wink

rollerbaby · 31/10/2010 08:09

Ahh bless her...really hope so.

AlpinePony · 31/10/2010 08:41

I came close to breaking point yesterday. :( 4 months and it finally caught up with me. I only got 3 hours sleep on friday night and was busy all last week. Jailbait went snowboarding and Bear sat on my lap screaming and then a really stinky grandpa came and sat down at my table. I had to gather all my stuff and move. :( I couldn't even go and poke around the shop because he was being such a pest. Eventually I found a sofa and was able to "mimic" a position used at home to calm him. When we got home I was really crabbit with him and jailbait had to take over even though he'd worked the nightshift Friday night. I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later but it was horrible. Hopefully just this 4 month "sleep regression" thing? He was up again this morning at 3am for a bottle - but at least I got 6 hours sleep before and 3/4 after (am confused with times).

Back to work tomorrow and although I'm looking forward to it, that's probably compounding the stress I'm feeling this weekend.

rollerbaby · 31/10/2010 08:50

X post - I mean I hope she has him today!! Not me pipping her to the post!

Sounds bloody hard work yesterday. Going back to work has got to have you stressed!! Whats your plan for looking after the monkey?

CUNextTuesday · 31/10/2010 08:56

Good luck with the sleep regression ski, we're now into our 3rd week of it Sad

Backinthebox · 31/10/2010 09:00

Ski where has JB gone skiing? OH and I are wondering whether to get DD to Xscape or somehwere like that for a lesson or two, or whether that will rob her of the magic of skiing up a mountain (or down a mountain, depending on how you look at it!)

Cluck and I were discussing yesterday my breaking point. She had to rescue me and take me to a real life spa. Was very nice!

AlpinePony · 31/10/2010 09:34

boxer We're lucky enough to live less than 2 miles from snowworld (biggest indoor in world la-di-dah Wink) - so it's easy to nip up there. Bear I noticed was starting at skis rather than snowboards... this bodes well for his future! Grin

honey Well I have to show my face tomorrow but I can work from home most days - the days I do have to go in jb is home from work by 10:30 so we'll just do a handover. He's taking more nightshifts now which makes it easier.

AlpinePony · 31/10/2010 09:44

silver's cervix is made of steel and has no interest in releasing the baybee.

I have lost a baby shoe in the park. :)

Cosmosis · 31/10/2010 11:57

come on silver!!

alpie that sounds mucho stressful. Have a glasgow kiss.

We are currently working on getting Artie out of the bed and into his own bed. 20 mins of rocking in the basket last night got us 3 hours of sleep. two sets of 20 mins rocking in his chair this morning is currently resulting in nap in chair.

Oh had he can reach out and hit the dangly bits on his baby gym. As I said this morning "shall we go and bash your tiger" TGO thought that this was not an appropriate activity for an 8 wk old Wink

OkieCokie · 31/10/2010 13:03

Alpy going back to work? Wow, that seems to have come round very quick. Smelly old people are the pits though. Think you deserve a ski trip.

C'mon Silv feel that cervix ooooopen.

The weather is shit but I have found there is a mini play of red riding hood on this afternoon near us so think we will go to that. Hope mini c doesn't get freaked out by the wolf, although in books a wolf is also a dawg to him so we should be fine.

AlpinePony · 31/10/2010 13:42

Poor silv is bored and eating. For all the pomp & fuss about insisting she go in, nothing is happening. She's only just been seen by the docs who're now running the CTG again. She'll be given VE and gel. They don't seem to be in any fucking hurry considering the stress they put her under because she's "overdue". Hmm She seems less annoyed about it all than I am tbh.

okie I am getting more and more annoyed with people with BO. :( It just makes me heave. Very mature I know.

OkieCokie · 31/10/2010 14:00

I would be very wound up if I was Silv but I am not very patient and I would hate to be just sitting around waiting in hospital when I could have done that in the comfort of my own home.

Muser · 31/10/2010 16:58

BackintheBox saw your XScape comment. I had a few hours at an XScape before my skiing holiday. It was brilliant fun and in no way took away from the magic of being on the mountain for the first time. Do it!

My friends are all busy planning their ski holiday for next year, planning on going late Feb/early March, right when I'm due. I'm more than a bit gutted.

AlpinePony · 31/10/2010 17:53

cossie jb called Bear a "bumboy"! ShockGrin

AlpinePony · 01/11/2010 09:07

Just so you know, have texted silv this morning and no word back so can only assume she's now a mum. :) Will let you know if and when I hear anything more concrete.

In the meantime - who's for tequila?
