HAPPY BIRTHDAY THOR PETITPERT LITTLESLING and SMALLSOCKS

oopsandbabycoconuts · 08/08/2010 07:18

Morning LOTI - Enjoy your day. Hope it stays dry for you.

Crispy - you sound very organised!

TS - Pleased you and DD1 had a better day today.

Who did I miss.....going back to check....

oopsandbabycoconuts · 08/08/2010 07:22

GB - enjoy the rest of your Cornwall break and Envy about Rick Stein

Cyteen - well done J - a very clever boy!

DD1 now refuses to go near the potty - apparently Grandma makes her sit on it when she would rather play Angry she was running about naked yesterday evening and was doing the 'I need a wee' dance and refused to try the potty at all but waited until I put the nappy on then gave a sigh of relief!

MrsMiamla · 08/08/2010 07:43

morning all Smile

haven't you got the kettle on yet oops? tut tut Wink
sounds like you need to have words with grandma about her potty training efforts. i'd be furious if i were you

loti hope your party goes really well today, well done on keeping stepd at bay

pert hope today goes really well for you too

in fact, i hope everybody has a lovely day Grin

oopsandbabycoconuts · 08/08/2010 07:51

Miamla - DH told grandma in no uncertain terms to leave DD alone about potty training.

MrsMiamla · 08/08/2010 07:54

good, i bloody hope she listens!!

oooh pastries.... now you're talking my language!!

CaptainCaveman · 08/08/2010 08:54

morning ladies Smile

Happy 2nd Birthday Thor E M & S Grin I hope you all have a wonderful birthday

Cyteen am loving J's 'sizzles'!

TS thanks for hair loss info - I don't take any supplements and rarely use hair straightening products, but I will check the ingredients of my shampoo Smile

sazz well done on your hard work, I will pray for it to be fruitful

pert do you live near the new Olympic stadium? Will you be housing international sports stars in 2012 Wink?

buckets enjoy Cornwall - where abouts in Cornwall are you?

no1 we miss you! Are you coming to the meet up in 9 days?

We have the outlaws staying...so far so good, they are lovely really but their idea of entertainment is to read a paper all day Hmm

Ds1 random question from yesterday "mummy, when I finish year 2 can I be a hypnotist?", Me: why? DS1 "because I will use it to make the bad people build orphanages" Grin. World peace maker, age 6yrs and 3 months Wink

CaptainCaveman · 08/08/2010 08:55

Morning Miamla, sorry I missed you off there. Perhaps you can make Grandma sit on the potty for 2 hours to see if she enjoys it?

CaptainCaveman · 08/08/2010 09:50

roll on 2.30 when i can leave for hockey Grin

Morning TS Grin

I am off shopping. ALONE!!!!!! Hurrah for little miracles.

Hope Pert & LOTI's parties are in full swing, and good luck with the match cece, give 'em what for. Oh and thankyou for the prayer Smile

oops once again your IL's astound me Shock

dizzydixies · 08/08/2010 13:45

Happy birthday lovely littlies!!

am knee deep in EVERYTHING due to the fact I've decided to rearrange the house Hmm

Dh and I went to cinema last night and are going to watch Sherlock with a few drinks tonight Smile

Cece - your PIL went to the same feckinguseless grandparenting school as my lot did am about to hit them for the readies for bunkbeds that they promised the girls though so fingers crossed.

cyteen · 08/08/2010 13:56

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL THE GORGEOUS 080808ers :)

oops you should just have a mask made of this face Hmm that you can wear whenever your PIL are around, save wear and tear on the eyeballs (from rolling).

loti I hope your bbq today goes swimmingly. Don't knacker yourself out too much!

Crisp are you suggesting you look like a sausage? Grin

I am a rubbish mummy today :( Took J up to the allotment when he really would have been happier playing at home. The allotment is really not toddler-friendly at the moment, and it's not like I can get anything done when it's just me and him. Anyway, forgot to change his nappy when we got back and DP reports that he now has v painful nappy rash :(

My family have come to visit today. Typically, they turned up at the very second that J fell asleep Grin They've gone off to the hotel till he wakes up, bless them.

TwilightSurfer · 08/08/2010 15:21

No more rubbish mummy chatter! We are all PERFECT in EVERY WAY!!Smile

Have any of ya'll noticed I seem to have ADD?Hmm

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 08/08/2010 16:31

shhhhh! hiding in my room while dh supervises the girls is a "pick up" session. Grin

OP posts:
MrsMiamla · 08/08/2010 19:18

TS what've you got? ADD? i'm confused!

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/08/2010 20:32

Well, we are finally packed up. I have to work tomorrow, but will be hectic so wanted to get sorted today.

DD2 opened her presents today and had a cake and candles, and was supremely unimpressed Hmm. The £4 Peppa DVD was the biggest hit Hmm

cyteen when i went to put DD2 in her PJ's i found she was still in the same nappy from this morning Blush. Bad mummies unite Grin

TS Noooooo, you are just crazy WinkGrin

dizz have you decided to go for bunk beds? Which ones? Enjoy the cinema Smile

CaptainCaveman · 08/08/2010 20:35

Attention Deficit Disorder? Hmm. If thats the case, i think I have ZADD (zero attention deficit disorder) Grin

Hope the respective parties went well?

How was the shopping Crispy buy anything nice?

Hockey was fab, if a little hot but finished nicely with me going home via Sainsbos and picking up two tops for myself for £11, bargain Grin

cyteen you are a fab mummy, we all do that from time to time with nappies. A dash of sudocrem or similar will cure him in a snip Smile

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/08/2010 21:03

Oh cece, was horrific Sad. Next didn't have the shoes i wanted and then Sainsbury's (not my normal one) was hell on earth. DH phoned whilst i was in there and i shouted rather at him Blush

I did get DD1 a nice top and DD2 some canvas shoes as hers are still missing Hmm

pertelote · 08/08/2010 21:12

Hullo all, am half asleep already but thank you for all the birthday wishes - we have had a lovely, lovely day. All the presents went down very well (she has gone to sleep clutching her cat-shaped balloon!), she was very good all day long and the sun shone (but not too much) so we had a very jolly afternoon in the park - sandpit and swings for the littlies, Cava and cake for the adults (who outnumbered them by quite a few). Once again DD wasn't really prepared to eat any of the much-requested Piggy Cake but did enjoy her requested lunch of Piggy Yoghurt (pork rillettes!) so my culinary pride is not too hurt [phew]

Hope everyone else had lovely days too especially the Birthday Bunch and the two little hijackers! Don't blame you, much the best day of the year for a party Grin

PS CeCe we are indeed VERY near the Olympic site - I'm sure we won't be organised enough to actually let the house to participants so I'm certainly open to suggestions from friends interested in the spare room.... Wink

MrsMiamla · 08/08/2010 21:27

evening all

i seem to have forgotten to mention that i had regular practice surges every 20mins (see i'm using the right lingo now!) for a few hours today. They were during the second (and last) bit of our hypnobirth course. I didn't realise that DH and the student midwife were both independently timing them and keeping an eye on me Grin When the instructor found out she was checking on me too and asked if I'd mind staying to have Pea there today because i'd make a great practical demonstration!!

I really don't think this baby is hanging around for much longer. DH reckons it'll start properly on Friday this week. I'm still assuming that we'll go overdue though

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/08/2010 21:35

Oooh, how exciting miamla. We are taking a pooter with us so hopefully i won't miss the birth thread. Will you have one?
