I hope my DH is having a good time (he needs it) on his golf vaca but I can't wait for him to get home. I'd like just a few childfree moments....just a few. R is presently on top of me, basically, as I type.

We have had a fab weekend. The 90th party we were going to (joint 40th & 50th) turned out to be a wedding . Was my Gay Best Friend and his lovely partner. They told me ten minutes before and asked me to do a reading, and then once i realised we were on the top table and i was actually going to have to do an off the cuff speech too . Went pretty well, all things wine considered, although afterwards thought of loads of stuff i had missed

Danced loads and generally had a great time, and then a (mini) lie in until 8.30 for a full fry up, walk along the Thames and back to pick the DD's up.

Hope all good with one and all? Where are the hairpiece pics on FB dizz/cyteen?

DS is working on his parkour skills this week so i think i'm becoming immune to the thuds! DH took a great photo of him earlier with one foot on the back of the sofa and the other on the 5th book shelf!

Nice day here: went for a run in the morning then friend's son's 2nd birthday party in the afternoon :) Had more to say but as usual have completely forgotten it all, so just make up something witty or instructive and pretend that I said it

i'm wondering what planet one of my friends is on...she knows Pea is due today and has just asked if i want to go to a farm tomorrow with her
i would have thought risk to me was pretty high because of close contact with animals and their poo but does she really think i want to run round after T?! madness! she's a mum of 3 and i thought she'd have a bit more sense
i've replied to her text along the lines of 'can't think of anything i'd rather do less'
she probably won't talk to me now for another 6mths!

oh and its a good 45mins drive away

I had quite a good night after all and the car was fine to sleep in, if a bit banana-shaped bedwise. Sealed Knot geeks are a jolly, kindly lot and my denim hotpants went down v well.

Kurt apparently did some great interaction with his cousins who were also staying at my mums so am now thinking his probs may be due to the sheer neglectfulness of a 3rd time SAHM. Childminder will indeed be good for him. DD on the other hand has had several meltdowns since 4pm, one v v overwrought little girl.

at Crispy's walk along the Thames funnily enough. Would love to just go for a picturesque walk without pushchair or kids moaning.

evening all - had Dad on the phone nagging me about the company name so now I have to go and ice up some cakes before bed!

VG - I haven't tried sending them to Eire as yet, the postal service has never been exactly reliable. I meant to send Sazz some down so that she could bring them over but time got away from me
