CrispyTheCrisp · 27/08/2010 18:37

Not after castor oil Wink

tweakers · 27/08/2010 18:38

ah ha! i'll let you have that one!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 27/08/2010 18:56

Tweaky - I was told by my MW that 2 EPO capsules inserted does the same job as a bit of lovin as EPO contains lots of prositiglandins(sp??) so a couple orally and a couple internally :)will help ripe the the cervix.

We took DDs to the Cotswold Wildlife Park today then DH made the rash mistake of taking her to toyRus whilst I was feeding DD in the carpark, needless to say there are a stupid amount of Sylvanian Families in the boot of my car!! He is such a sucker.

Hi Crispy, HP

Cyteen thaqt song is lovely.

GladioliBuckets · 27/08/2010 18:59

Ooh how exciting Tweakers.

I always wanted to come down the aisle to Blush but bottled out in favour of Eva Cassidy.

Visited my DSis's new house today, flippin'ell you think the floorplan was mad, it makes even less sense irl!Shock It really does feel like two semis knocked through (actually just a massive bonkers extension) and there's mad 70s features like split level floors everywhere, sunken bath and gold wrought iron gates separating rooms. Think she's had a few 'what are we doing?' moments over the 24hrs since completion but if anyone can whip it into a des res, it's my big sis. She is a less hippyish, more whirlwindy, cleaner version of me - I'm all hot air, she actually gets things done.

GladioliBuckets · 27/08/2010 19:01

Oops that sounds more likely to attract some lovin than my friend who stuck garlic cloves up her fanjo to prevent GroupBStrep!

hotterpotter · 27/08/2010 19:09

LOL Buckets that would have been brilliant Grin I had as I walked down the aisle garden path

Crispy yours is lovely too but far too classy for us Grin also you may say it took you losing your job to spur you into action but I imagine you earned waaaaay more than me anyway after actually working hard in your 20s and early 30s [lazy me]

Oops I love Sylvanian Family stuff but it is too tiny to stand a chance with Thor...

cyteen · 27/08/2010 19:15

hots time to take the initiative and boot your DH out of drifter's corner Grin

Big day is in about 4 weeks Shock I am starting to cack it with excitement/fear right now.

Crispy that is lovely, my SIL had the same thing but a string arrangement. Then they walked out to the traditional walking-out music and I thought it was the Death Star theme from Star Wars Blush

cyteen · 27/08/2010 19:17

Oh hots I love that song. You can't go wrong with the Beatles really (well, unless you had Maxwell's Silver Hammer or something).

CrispyTheCrisp · 27/08/2010 19:40

4 weeks. Wow cyteen. That is truly exciting Smile. You will have a fantastic day as you strike me as the kind of person who will relax and make the most of every moment even if there are any classic wedding 'oops' moments along the way if when some things don't go exactly to plan Smile

Loving being a classy bird LOL Grin

dizzydixies · 27/08/2010 19:55

4 weeks?!?! right enough of this cake nonsense - I'm missing all the baby/wedding porn Sad

hotterpotter · 27/08/2010 20:03

What about 'why don't we do it in the road' Grin[unclassy]

Right, time to make burgers

GladioliBuckets · 27/08/2010 20:12

Shock I have never heard that Beatles song beforeBlush! How utterly charming.

Right ladies, what does one wear to a roundheads & cavaliers post-battle knees-up? I'm imagining they'll all be in civvies but thinking it would still be fun to go a bit witchy.

Off to touch up my roots. Oh btw I am actually loving my home-made fringe and red hair, makes me feel v earthy mature rockchick milfGrin. And the fringe makes it so easy - for example, this morning all our hairbrushes have vanished so I just twisted it up in a chignon and the fringe takes all the attention away from straggly, lumpy bits.

tweakers · 27/08/2010 20:16

i've just sent DH out for fish and chips despite having a fridge and freezer full of food Blush

DS heard the front door and was convinced i'd gone out and was absolutely distraught. He didnt seem to mind that it was daddy that had gone, not me!

cyteen oooh 4 weeks!!! that's brill!!
don't read the next bit....

do we know where we're going to gatecrash meetup in 4 weeks? i hope someone's been taking notes! Wink

cyteen · 27/08/2010 20:39

Aw tweakers, do you think he's feeling the anticipation of Pea's arrival? Although maybe it's just a 2yo thing...DS has been super-cuddly since having chicken pox, which of course I don't mind at all :)

Arf hots! Grin

Buckets how about going as a 'camp follower'? Corset, bloomers, mussed-up hair, suggestive smile Wink or is that a little bit too much?

Am also a fan of the fringe, on you and generally. Can't believe I resisted for so long, especially with my mega-spam.

hotterpotter · 27/08/2010 20:50

Shock Buckets get thee to the White Album asap Grin

tweakers · 27/08/2010 21:10

cyteen i reckon he might be. He's referring to Pea as 'mee-mee' and wants to give her a cuddle and he definitely knows something's happening. We're gradually getting the car seat, bouncy chair, moses basket out for her. He has been in all of them so far Hmm

DH and I are provoking sod's law tonight by drinking wine Grin

buckets i haven't either! oh and i second what cyteen said about what you should wear

GladioliBuckets · 27/08/2010 22:03

Whoops, never got past Sgt Peppers and Magical Mystery Tour, met a boy who converted me to the Stones at that point!Grin The Beatles are just so sexless in comparison.

Good idea but having been pottering about in a tunic top and heels just now, I decided to get my legs out and cut myself a pair of Daisy Dukes. This summer I have reached a point of 'fuhgeddabadit' re my legs, not cared at all about lack of tan for first time ever and tonight I say sucks boo to cellulite. Men don't notice these things and women who do must have some hangups of their own. Got to make the most of okayness before I'm too old.

Kurt has been v cute today. I swear he said 'dollshouse' (totally out of context lol) and he has a new name for DS1 'No nose' (as in Nomo I assume.)

tweakers · 28/08/2010 05:25

girls, if you want a giggle watch this!

yup, i'm awake at silly o'clock. DH and DS very much asleep still, Pea very much not asleep so thought I"d get up and have a hot chocolate Smile

hotterpotter · 28/08/2010 08:00

Morning Smile

Feeling a bit grumpy here due to DS' inability to sleep past 6.40 on a weekend, DH's ability to completely ignore it unless I poke him, oh and some PMT. Don't mess with me today... Grin

Weather still looking good though, hurrah.

Tweaky that was very sweet!

CrispyTheCrisp · 28/08/2010 08:14

We had DD2 up in the night for an hour. At least tonight they will be at SIL's and we will have a soundproofed hotel room and a lie in. Hurrah!

Hope you had a fab night Buckets in your Daisy Dukes Grin

Our neighbours came over for curry to tell us all about their 3 week volunteering trip in Africa. Really interesting re their comments on the children. Apparently no bad behaviour/tantrums/learning difficulties (although pointed out these children may have been 'hidden' away Sad). They both work in CAHMs so know their stuff. All the children look after each other (not the parents) and play across age group games which they all join in. Very Envy of this type of community although obviously still a pretty harsh life.

Ho hum, will shut up now.......

tweakers · 28/08/2010 08:33

my my hots, you're looking rather lovely this morning

ooh, where you off to crisp?

hotterpotter · 28/08/2010 08:44

LOL Tweaky that's very kind of you, but a complete lie I'm afraid [haggard]. Still, a lovely cuppa and buttery toast have cheered me up so you're all safe again!

Crispy I like the idea of communal babysitters but couldn't manage that sort of communal life for more than a few days, plus I bet they don't have the internet Shock

Lucky you having a DC-free night tonight Envy what exciting thing are you doing?

tweakers · 28/08/2010 08:55

DH just made awful tea so i'm going to have to haul myself off to the kitchen to make a nice one! Hmm, buttery toast sounds good but i might add scrambled egg and bacon to mine...hmm, can i be bothered though? Ideally i'd get DH to make it but 1) he's rubbish at scrambled egg 2) he's just gone to the dentist

oh and sod's law is being properly provoked this weekend...my mw's in Manchester Hmm

lower bump aches again this morning....

hotterpotter · 28/08/2010 09:23

Oooh, bump aching... good luck with that, and remember Manchester is only a train ride away Grin

I have done my good wife turn and let DH sleep in an extra 25 minutes over his allotted wake up time but time to make coffee now. I may even clean the windows Shock

tweakers · 28/08/2010 09:29

lol, half an hour since my last post and i haven't moved! DS happily playing so i've just been siting here Blush

re mw..the poor thing is having a very rare weekend off duty! she's asked me to wait until she gets back monday night!

if you run out of windows to clean, there are plenty with little hand prints down here Smile
