Google - why didn't I think of that?? [stupid emoticon]

pertelote · 24/08/2010 08:13

Morning, we're off to DD's cardio appointment this morning so wish us luck.

And one of her best toddler friends has a little sister! Can't wait to get over there for a cuddle... They are calling her India which I think is very pretty. Tweakers I reckoned she would probably arrive before Pea so your way is now clear! Grin

Will check in later, til then though love to you all.

CrispyTheCrisp · 24/08/2010 08:26

All the best this morning Pert. Hope the little lady passes with flying colours, as i'm sure she will Smile

Sun shining here, just beautiful Smile

tweakers · 24/08/2010 08:36

we've got sun here too Grin

full moon tonight and it should have been my nanna's b'day so its full steam ahead on Mission Pea Eviction before midnight!

spring sorry Blush

oops really pleased you got lots of sleep.
For the first time ever DH did get up with T on a work day!!! i'm amazed! something has happened to DH, can't think what.... Grin anyone would think i'm about to do something really special for him like birth a baby or something!
And can you thank P for the reminder...I'd forgotten today was 'dress like a fairy' day Smile

crispy good morning! hope you have a wonderful day working!

luckoftheirish · 24/08/2010 14:39

Afternoon ladies,

Pert hope appointment went well thinking of u!

Happy birthday G!!

Tweakers baby definitely should be born with a full moon Smile..

glad you are feeling better cyteen Smile..

watcha vg/oops/crispy/ts..

well had to collect dd2 from cm earlier, she was a bit hot and had refused her lunch Hmm.. since being home has had 2 baby sausages and a yogurt!! I think she is coming down with a little cough/cold but also going through refusing food she doesn't like the look of!! Fussy thing Grin..

hoping to go and see step d tom as she has been hospitalised with her ms but i guess if little madam isn't right no day trip for me HmmSad

tweakers · 24/08/2010 14:56

thanks loti. i've got a bit of a romantic idea going on about wandering round the garden during labour under a full moon Smile

hope dd2's not poorly and that she was just after a bit of mummy attention

right, as far as i'm concerned, this baby will be arriving on the 10th of Sept. If i don't think this, i'm just going to spend the next however long waiting for her and reading into every tiny little niggle/ache/twinge. Driving me barmy now and i'm not even overdue yet!

TwilightSurfer · 24/08/2010 15:07

Tweakers go laugh and drink wine and wander about the garden. Invite loved ones over for a celebration of the evening. Have someone play the guitar. Wear a long flowing gown. Smile

OP posts:
tweakers · 24/08/2010 15:17

ooh, that's a great idea TS! I'm especially liking the wine bit. I've got a beautiful bottle of rose that i've hidden from DH in the kitchen! DH plays the guitar and I've got a kaftan type dress of my mum's

right, that's a date!

anyone else want to pop round? Smile

not quite sure what the mw would think if she was needed tonight though! actually, i do, if its my mw on duty, she'd know she'd definitely got the right house and probably join us in a glass of wine Grin

Blimey VG, you got some floo powder? Wink. Not sure tweakers has a chimney though!

LOTI could your CM not have persevered and given a bit of Calpol? Confused. Hope you get to go out tomorrow

tweakers · 24/08/2010 17:21

DS has just been a genuine help in getting the wet washing out of the machine and onto the line Shock

crisp what on earth is floo powder?! no, no chimney here but outside fires are allowed if that helps!

vg i didn't know you could embroider, is there no end to your talents?

RedLentil · 24/08/2010 17:27

Lunar birth. Ya wha'?

I've not been away so long you've developed a whole new set of in jokes, have I?

I'm typing in a hostel in Dingle and we're camping in the garden. It's lovely. No time to check anything other than Tweakers' news, but love to all and if you see Dizzy, I missed her message when I checked online yesterday but I am about if she needs me and she has my mobile.

Big wave to VG and co - glad you all got home safely, and I hope DS2 is feeling better.
Must go as the pasta is done. Smile

hotterpotter · 24/08/2010 19:51

Hello all Smile

Hope to be back later to catch up but just wanted to let you know we didn't drown/dissolve/get swept away by the weather on our camping holiday. Yesterday was a little Shock but today was glorious apart from a 10 minute hail flood when we had just got out of the car... Eaten fish and chips on the beach at Robin Hood's Bay and got a bit pink from the sun Smile or should that be Blush.

CrispyTheCrisp · 24/08/2010 21:18

Right, i'm here - where are you lot? Confused

Hurrah for another camping triumph hots Smile

Hi Red, Bye Red Smile

Evening VG :) I get the floo powder reference now [dunce]

pertelote · 24/08/2010 21:34

Hullo all. Hots, glad you had fun! Fish and chips by the sea sounds exactly what I need right now.

Lovely to see you briefly Red! Frankly I'd say this end of the country is a little cool and breezy tonight for garden birthing under the stars, but Tweakers is a hardy type I know...

So cardio went well, all is good and we are signed off for another 12 months. DD impressed Dr greatly by identifying his stethoscope Grin

House move now looks like not before mid-Sept... we are all ready to go but our sellers' new house is delayed and our buyers want a discount as apparently our roof needs a little TLC. Not very much £ considering the amounts involved over all and fair enough the roof is getting on a bit but still.... it's water-tight isn't it? What more do you want?!

CrispyTheCrisp · 24/08/2010 21:35

LOL, i am always wishing i had floo powder. Just me then Grin

Heston not on here Sad

GladioliBuckets · 24/08/2010 22:10

Loti How are you feeling? Did you go back to the GP?

VG Urrrgh to dated looking photos. DH is currently obsessed with Lomo cameras which were originally Soviet state made but now are just very cleverly marketed to have that appeal. His 3rd one just arrived this morning. I just don't get it - why spend so much money on a 1-in-48 chance of getting an interesting picture when you can photoshop a good picture to have the same effect?Angry

One of our guinea pigs died today (not both as per my FB messageGrinBlush.) DS1 was quite upset and got more so when I tried to explain that she'd had a good life and guinea pigs in Peru are eaten for meat. "Don't make me eat her! I'm a vegetarian!" ROFL. He has been a veggie for nearly 2wks now, give or take a few 'vegetarian' meats thrown in for my convenience. Am amazed at his sticking power.

hotterpotter · 24/08/2010 22:14

Floo powder would be great, or maybe a portkey. Took us 45 minutes on Sunday to drive 5 miles on the A64 outside York then DS kindly threw up as we were going through Pickering. Should have read the portents and turned the car around... Seriously though, if anyone needs a cheap no-frills campsite with a magnificent view ony 3 miles from Whitby then I can't recommend Beacon Farm highly enough. They have an outdoor playground for dry days and a tea room with attached play room which had a bouncy castle, play house and several ride on tractors, which is free to use if you buy a coffee. Spent over 2 hours in there on Monday Grin

pert sorry to hear it's all going slow re the house, but Yay for M's excellent health check Grin

hotterpotter · 24/08/2010 22:20

Good luck with vegetarian DS Buckets Shock At least there is quorn these days and no more Beanfeast . I keep thinking DD may turn as we are quite open about explaining which particular animal's leg or whatever she is tucking into but so far no squeamishness

tweakers · 24/08/2010 22:30

message from Pea Smile
looks like she doesn't want a lunar birth after all!

pert don't forget you're coming round here on moving day Smile (you're obviously welcome to pop round anytime but particularly on moving day!)

hots that sounds really cool. i reckon we could combine a trip next time we're up near pil Smile

buckets poor guinea pig but it did make me smile when you said DS1 didn't want to eat him! i don't blame him..can't be much meat on them!

crisp the only harry potter we've got here is one of the books in spanish... DH decided it was the best way to learn a language from scratch. I believe he got half way through the first chapter Grin

vg i can't believe you're letting a small matter of a lack of floo powder stopping you coming to visit!
i've inherited an iTouch so i'll be off to look for some of those apps you mentioned. i've never even had an ipod before so stupidly excited by it!

hiya oops Smile

hotterpotter · 24/08/2010 22:42

Oh tweaky I don't envy you this rubbish waiting game (although am rather Envy) at your eventual prize) Do you want us to stop asking re every twinge, is it driving you round the bend? Als oooh Grin at the possibility of a maybe camping meet up, maybe next year once DD is definitely here and just maybe it's warm...
