DD2 is having cup issues .. she used to drink out of any cup going including her sisters.. now she will on drink out one specific yellow tt beaker cup which has been chewed to shreds!!! Offer her any other cup and get met with blank refusal!! Do u think i can find another yellow beaker cup anywhere??? NO ..

sooo tired, really hope mum's planning on popping round today. DS was awake more than asleep last night, and needed lots of consoling. When he was actually asleep, Pea decided it was time to practice her gymnastics!

Good morning, is it Monday already? Still in PJs here, all 3 kids in the bath, nothing urgent to do. Still sorting out playroom to turn it into an office - can't believe how much junk has accumulated since I sorted it out at new year.

I am selling this Castle with extra seige tower, jousting lane, tons of Schleich Arthurian style play figures and other extra bits I find too boring to name. £30 all in. Anyone fancy a trip down here to collect a bargain? There'd be a free lunch in it too. It all slots together / packs away.

Buckets that is a cool castle, J would probably love it and I would love to come down for lunch/gossip but can't really fit it in atm, what with all the extra getting confident on the motorway that would be required.

Well, it's pissing down here but never mind. DS is conked out after his first post-pox trip to stay and play - it was so lovely to watch him run off and play with all his friends and be a free toddler again :)

Sorry for the rain. I shooed it from her last week. It must have wandered too far.

R was a breathless crying mess upon pickup today. This was her 1st official all-by-herself HOUR at school. She's napping now and even in her sleep she's still doing that catch-your-breath thing occasionally. Guess phase in is going to go over like a lead balloon for her. Thankfully, I know she was rested (having napped on the way there), full (having downed a small cheeseburger & lemonade in the parking lot before class started), and in a safe place (very very confident with the kindness level of her 2 teachers and the director). There were only 2 other children in the room for the phase in today, one she knows from last summer (not sure if she remembers though). With all I've had to deal with lately I hate that she's having a rough start but I don't feel worried for her at all. Strange?

Her first question when we got back in the truck... "have chocolate?"

That's not strange at all TS. I think us mothers are a great deal more able to be analytical about our children's wants and needs than society gives us credit for. When you know she's well rested, well fed and well cared for, she could just as easily be crying at home for an hour as elsewhere (after all, 2yos are not renowned for their rationality are they? )

No zoo here today as weather was so shite, i caved in and decided getting wet in a warm swimming pool would be preferable. Friend came over this avo and the girls all got to play in the garden and make rice krispie cakes which was lovely.

DD's have been a delight today which hasn't happened simultaneously for a long while . Being a parent is much easier when they are like that .

3 loads of washing, Ocado shop, house tidy. gym & pilates class and 4 phonecalls all completed so feeling very productive today about time

TS your rational brain has to take over to protect you i think. I'm sure R will get into the groove of it very soon, but i guess it is a big step after having 24/7 care from her Mommy for 2 years. If she hadn't had a small protest i would have been more surprised

Folks the FOG has cleared! Which btw allowed me to notice G's birthday. Sorry, LittleNut I've been self absorbed the past few days.

But yes, life has suddenly shifted. K's teacher was MOVED today as a result of low attendance numbers for K's grade. The school system blended all 14 kids from her class into the 5 other classrooms to "save money". Not only was that a nice change to what might have been a bad year, the move put us back with "our little group". The 3 room mom amigos are again all in the same room (with out kids of course). I could not be happier!!

Good news there TS. Is K happy too? And lol at the image of the three room mom amigos; I hope you have the hats to go with that title

Crispy redundancy process is officially over, yes, but I'm hoping no one gets on my back about being off my sick bed on Friday

Just had a long, soul-cleansing chat with a much-loved friend :) Was marvellous. Also made this for tea, really delicious and I believe very HotMama friendly.

Had a early night last night and boy did I sleep! DD thankfull slept too, infact DD2 is still sleeping. DD1 is dressed as a fairy and is running around the room reciting her favorite book!

Crispy - hope work stuff appears soon. Could you tell me where you got the flashing Nemo for P when E was born? Our one was left in the paddling pool over night and is now no longer flashing - P keeps bringing it over and asking me to make it flash and no amount of 'I can't the batteries are flat' seems to make her stop asking.

Cyteen - pleased you are feeling better and J is too.

Tweaky - hope you a re sleeping and DH has got up with T.

TS -R's sobbing is what worries me about P starting nursery on the 9th. We have one settling in session on the 3rd then it is a full day a week. Which reminds me I need to find uniform in her size!

DD2 woke just as we went to bed and ended up coming in with us. Managed a fairly good night's sleep and DH has taken them off to the CM

oops Nemo was from a toy shop in Stroud. I can get you another & post, although not sure when going in next or could you google?
