Lovely house TS - I want to go NOW!

luckoftheirish · 21/08/2010 10:33

Thanks Ladies Smile..

very happy to say its nought serious, torn tummy muscle ouch, v v painful but should sort itself out eventually!!! the usual no lifting anything strenous but with 2 kids like thats going to happen!!!

No word from Tweakers... do that mean what i think it means??? Grin

oopsandbabycoconuts · 21/08/2010 10:37

Oh LOTI, What a relief. Please try and take it as easy as possible, let DH do as much as possible this weekend - even a couple of days taking it easy will help.

tweakers · 21/08/2010 10:40

morning all

pert sorry, wasn't ignoring you re your mum just didn't know what to say

loti thinking of you this morning and hope you get some answers

TS that does seem ridiculous that she was warned, listened to the warning, acted on but yet she still got punished Hmm Let us know what the teacher's reply is!

hiya crisp and oops... i'm ignoring all comments re sleep today! I woke at 3, gave up going to sleep again so read my book. I had got to the point where i thought it was worth trying sleep again and DS woke at 5.30! He was obviously tired but couldn't/wouldn't sleep! We had a cuddle in his bed til 7 and then i got DH up with him. DS must have been convinced to have an early nap by DH because i was just woken by a DS wanting to come downstairs to play. DH now sleeping!

lol, DS doing some drawing at the moment. He's just dropped his pen on the floor and pointed at it. I explained that he was more able than me to get it at the moment, he replied 'yes' and got down to pick it up. I'm sure he could have worked that out for himself!

well last night's bit of loving has brought on my spd again. Perhaps swinging from the chandeliers wasn't such a good idea after all!

tweakers · 21/08/2010 10:50

i must have crossed with you both just now...

brill news loti!! In dizz's absence i'm prescribing you some arnica. i have no idea if it'll help or not but it seems to fix most things Grin

tweakers · 21/08/2010 10:58

hots here's one for you www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/1024931-this-is-my-last-day-as-a-smoker

hotterpotter · 21/08/2010 11:22

Thanks Tweakers I'll be fine, only been smoking 2 or 3 a day since we went camping so am going to stop again once we get back on Tuesday. Apart from anything else I can't afford it Shock

Hope you have a nice restful day and your spd eases enough for you to comfortably go into labour Wink

Loti that's great news although still [ouch]. Sort of a shame it wasn't a massive benign thing which would have got you to your HotMama target in one go but not really Grin

Morning oops and anyone else still around Smile

tweakers · 21/08/2010 11:47

just had my first 'oooh is there any news about the baby' phonecall and we're not even at due date yet!
it was DH's lovely GPs though and I'll chat to them as long as they like Smile His other set of GPs always seem to phone at an inconvenient time though WinkBlush

GladioliBuckets · 21/08/2010 13:48

LOTI That's great news. Do make sure you ask for help.

tweakers · 21/08/2010 15:17

hi girls
thought we were having lift off earlier, lots of regular surges. DH has now taken DS out (with DS's overnight bag just in case) and everything seems to have calmed down again.

hey ho

nothing to see here...

as you were

oopsandbabycoconuts · 21/08/2010 15:47

Tweaky - Stop pretending and just pop her out please!

Hello HP, GB and all :)

CaptainCaveman · 21/08/2010 16:32

OOOH THATS LOVELY OOPS Grin

Finished (ish) my lit review - red can I send it to you for your opinion?

Just fetched the suitcases down from the loft- only 2 days til hols Grin Grin

Lovely news, my friend had a little girl yesterday, she's called Genevieve Smile

cyteen · 21/08/2010 16:33

Well done loti, get better soon :)

tweakers you know what to do!

Can someone please say something nice to me about the amount of telly DS has watched this week :( Being stuck indoors all week with chickenpox, then me getting this stupid sinus infection that doesn't seem to be going away, and now DP has got something painful and irritating lodged in his eye so periodically has to lie down with a pillow over his face. End result: wall to wall DVDs :( I feel so bad for him, esp since the sun has finally come out and I feel too crap to take him anywhere.

tweakers · 21/08/2010 17:42

cyteen I'm sure you haven't scarred him for life! one week's not going to hurt. Can you potter round the garden with him? or just take him for a little walk round the block? T has had a similar week with me

cc where are you off to? apols if you've already told us!
hmm, Genevieve is a lovely name...

oops i'm trying!!!!!

TwilightSurfer · 21/08/2010 17:43

Cyteen R is not sick and she has watch Toy Story approximately 4 times every day back to back, beginning to end. Sometime after she's watched a Mickey Mouse or a Curious George show as well. If there's any television demerits to be handed out, I am the one who has CLEARLY earned them this week.Grin

Lucky I get pulled muscles in my rib cage quite often. HURTS! My advice includes warm moist heat and Tylenol (what ever that may be over there). I often shower and immediately lotion then wrap myself in a heavy robe then sit still for a few hours. Mine recover in a day or two. I've had it a few times where it took a week or so. ((((hugs)))) I am very glad it's only what it is.Smile

Tweakers I completely know how you feel. You think you're starting then it stops. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.Sad Oops was correct though, "the more that happens now the less that has to happen the day of." HmmThat was kinda the quote.Wink

No word for K's teacher yet. Oh well.

Pilates was amazing this morning. I felt so strong. Twice a week is really the best combo for me. I do a few things at home during the interim but 2 real class times is helping me progress solidly.

Very depressed otherwise but will spare all the details but it has to do with K and the depressed state she seems to have sunken into. I think it has to do with the stress of school. How OH how I wish I could wave my magic wand and make life a delight for her.

As for the BEACH HOUSE... it is so me, get depressed then book a vacation. I hate how expensive it is this time. Usually we get a half and half rate the week we go (half mid season/half high season). They changed it and now we're stuck paying high season the whole week. UGH! DH does not know so keep that between us. It is nice though and thanks for the comments. I'd love for everyone to come. Maybe someday we can manage that type of meet-up. There's an even nicer house I'd book for us if that transpired. It's called the Whaley House if you are so interested in sleuthing it out on that site. Wink

I need to exit my pilates outfit and put myself in normal clothes now. Ta!

hotterpotter · 21/08/2010 18:44

OMG TS four thousand dollars!!!! We will all have to chip in when we come and gatecrash your holiday Grin

Cyteen don't worry, he'll be fine! Poor you guys though living in the house of lurgy Sad, and double Sad that you've had to cancel camping this weekend. I'm sure you'll get to go soon.

Lovely hair oops, have a lovely holiday cece, wotcha buckets, tweakers what, are you nearly due or summat??? ShockWink

Got to summon up the energy to sort a few clothes for camping tomorrow. We are setting off after a late brekker and want the car all packed up tonight but can't be arsed to get started. Maybe once I've digested a bit of the lasagne and choc fudge pudding I'll be able to move... (ps sorry HotMamas Blush)

tweakers · 21/08/2010 19:21

no hots, got ages yet Wink
hope you have a fab holiday!!

tweakers · 21/08/2010 19:37

gah! i'm watching crappy saturday night tv whilst eating dinner and of all things John Barrowman singing a song to a woman from the audience has made me cry. bloody whoremoans! i'm just pleased DH is in his shed and can't see me!

dizzydixies · 21/08/2010 19:56

what a sodding day. Tag teamed by the girls all night. Short staffed beyond belief and the incidents were horrendous - this one is just ONE of the ones I was dealing with todaySad

chinese and bed for me tonight - sorry for lack of chat again Blush

Red says hi to all

cyteen · 21/08/2010 20:00

tweakers I've cried at all sorts today and I'm not even pregnant Blush Always get a bit weepy and vulnerable when I'm run down.

Thanks for the kind words tweakers, TS and hots, they were much appreciated :) We did end up going for a stroll which helped us all feel a bit less grotty, although DS didn't actually walk, just sat in the pushchair handing me bogies Hmm Grin

TS I meant to say how much I laughed earlier at "It's to be expected considering her parents" Grin I think you were absolutely right to pull her teacher up over the black mark thing, it seems inconsistent and unfair and those are both things that can put a bright child off school.

tweakers · 21/08/2010 20:46

i really don't know how you do your job dizz, must be so awful. sending some kind words, hugs and a shoulder to lean against over your way

glad you managed to get out cyteen. doesn't matter J didn't walk, you all got out and that's the main thing

i've just managed to slice one of my appliqued letters in half ARRGH got to start again on it now Angry hey ho, these things happen

CrispyTheCrisp · 21/08/2010 21:35

Hello all. Posting from dh's iPod phone. Cyteen, peppa is my best friend atm and illness is crap. Girls finally in bed and we are watching x factor. Much love to all. X

pertelote · 21/08/2010 21:42

What Tweakers said Dizzy - sorry today was a bad day.

Cyteen you definitely have nothing to feel guilty about. Sounds like you all need to rest and recuperate and if TV is involved in that so be it. Hope you feel better soon.

TS sorry I x-posted earlier, what a rotten thing to happen to K in her first few days. Hope it proves uncharacteristic of the teacher. Holiday plans look amazing, what a nice thing to have to look forward to.

Loti glad it turned out to be something straightforward and hope you get some help with the girls so you can rest and get better.
