hotterpotter · 20/08/2010 11:29

Cyteen just for a minute I thought you were Hmming at me [paranoid] but skimmed back and realised what you were on about! How are you feeling today, any better? Are you skiving off work like I am although at my desk Blush

pertelote · 20/08/2010 12:00

Tweakers DD couldn't do a multi-piece jigsaw though she finds the fit-in-the-hole sort quite easy. And the other morning she told me, "clock says 7 and 3... that makes 10", so that is the level of genius which T is ahead of Smile [

GladioliBuckets · 20/08/2010 12:01

YES!!!! New CM is hot to trot for termtime! I'm happy not to wait for her CRB as we were both on pre-school committee a couple of yrs ago and I reckon I would have heard local scandal if anything had changed since that CRB checkGrin. Her youngest will be going to pre-school with Kurt next year too so she will be just perfect for the next 2yrs.

Kurt not doing proper jigsaws, just holds up the pieces and says 'piece' and moves on, but good with the shapesorter board kind.

pertelote · 20/08/2010 12:02

That was a great long rant, sorry Blush

pertelote · 20/08/2010 12:04

x-post Buckets, great news re CM.

dizzydixies · 20/08/2010 13:57

Pert - no you are NOT unreasonable at all - your choices/your child/ your life. very Angry on your behalf

Buckets - great news re CM [smile

Loti - hope you're feeling better and the scan tells you something at least

hello all else - have to dash to deliver cakes before collecting DD1 at 3pm. Had meeting at local Maggies Centre this morning which was lovely. Am now going to be helping them cake wise - something I should have started doing 2yrs ago Blush

oopsandbabycoconuts · 20/08/2010 16:18

TS - I just know it was this afternoon but not sure exactly when - I think her mum was taking T this afternoon as well so maybe she is napping/shopping/sewing/tidying. :)

oopsandbabycoconuts · 20/08/2010 16:20

TS - She is at her mum's chatting :)

CrispyTheCrisp · 20/08/2010 17:12

LOL you lot, you'll be selling popcorn next Grin

Lovely afternoon with a friend playing in their treehouse. DD's shattered with moods to accompany Hmm. Roll on bath and TV....#

Hope you have left now hots ready to join the crowd of onlookers--

tweakers · 20/08/2010 17:27

no, no change here. sorry to have got you excited

feeling a bit bleurgh about it...mw talking about when i'd be induced. i know she means well and just wants me to chat to DH about what we'd do etc but still... i'm having lots of 'tightenings' but these have been happening for a week now (or is it two?) She's not even due for another 9 days but i just feel the pressure's on. we've apparently got til 40 +10 (11 or 12 if mw gets her way) to have a homebirth so that's actually 19 days before we even need to think about being induced

hey ho

oh and she's still only 1/5 engaged (as she has been for the last 4 weeks) so her head is only just in pelvis

Mum off for a walk with DS at the moment so i'd better crack on and get some sewing done

mw suggested having 'some loving with my husband' tonight. i told her off for talking about things like that in front of my mum and mum said 'how do you think i think you got in that state in teh first place?!' Smile

right, i really am off to sew now and to think lots of positive thoughts about Pea's journey over the next few days

oopsandbabycoconuts · 20/08/2010 17:36

Tweaky - Do you remember my whinging at this stage? I remember having that induction chat and feeling awful thoughts that she thought I would go over even though I had been contracting for weeks! DD2 was in and out of my pelvis like a yoyo and the evening before she was born she totally unengaged herself! She will come when she is ready and you least expect it, now just try and relax, enjoy your quiet time and have a little chat to her telling her you want her to come soon so you can meet her. (all weirdy hippy I know but telling her what you feel will 'tell' your subconcious that is what you want too.

Crispy - do you want another stoppy 2 year old? 1 going free here and you are closest!

TwilightSurfer · 20/08/2010 17:38

I'd say you may want to spend some time down on all fours doing a little cat cow. Maybe some belly dancing. Sex of course can be added into to any one or all of the above. Pineapple for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Some squat meditating. Tweaking or whatever it takes to get you Blush to that "highest" point. Warm bath soaks. Loads of foot massages paying close attention to the achilles region. The rest of us will collectively pull our positive energies together for birthing to commence and be gentle and wonderful for both you & Pea.

Have I covered everything.

Wink

Tweaky - the more your body does now the less it has to do during the birth.

CrispyTheCrisp · 20/08/2010 17:45

Ooh 2 hot dogs please, i love a bargain Grin. One for me and one for oopsatoddle

Tweakers positive thoughts being sent from here. Tis an amazingly frustrating and emotional time, feel free to post any whinges here Smile

cyteen · 20/08/2010 17:47

CC hey guess what? I'M ENGAGED! I wanted you to be the first to know Grin Hope that makes up for things a bit, it's rubbish feeling short-changed by friends :(

pert YANBU. It's times like this I appreciate the lameness of my family all the more.

hots I am ILL off work, I'll have you know although had to go into town for pre-arranged registrars appt and totally got clocked by one of my colleagues on the way Blush Still feeling shite but definitely better than yesterday.

DS has just the the most amazing tantrum. It was a real I've-gone-beyond moment, starting over something totally stupid and rapidly escalating into unstoppable Exorcist screaming and terror in the eyes. Bless him, it must be scary when they're so small. We ignored the behaviour/spoke calmly/stroked his back and eventually he calmed down and had a cuddle. Early nights all round I think!

tweakers I shall dig out my Aug 08 pompoms just for you :)

tweakers · 20/08/2010 18:09

thanks all Smile

mum got back 5mins after my last post...hey ho

TwilightSurfer · 20/08/2010 18:18

Captain I want to say I completely understand how you feel. I have been in the same spot. Imaging hearing from your aunt upon leaving after working on her computer that your little brother has a 6 month old son after only seeing your brother 2 months prior and speaking to him weekly...as well as speaking to your dad almost daily and it was your dad who apparently told your aunt.Shock
