Sazz - would you survive at Jimmy's? Only 1 bottle of wine (in a box or plastic bottle) per person allowed into the campsite Shock We looked at going and possibly taking the IL's campervan but DH is not keen.

CrispyTheCrisp · 20/08/2010 08:06

LOL cheeky, hadn't seen that Grin. Don't forget though we are 4 people Wink

hotterpotter · 20/08/2010 08:07

Hello all Smile

It's Friday, yay, and I am thankfully not stuck in the massive traffic jam I saw coming into work [phew] but am instead sitting in my comfyish chair pootling about on the internet for an hour five minutes before getting down to some important work Grin

Sazz we are off camping on Sunday, back to the ice cream and playground campsite near Whitby. Wanted to go on Saturday but they are booked and anyway will give me a chance to catch up at home tomorrow. We loved Suffolk, just don't forget your wind break if you are going to the beach.

Dizzy hope you have a nice restful day planned, or is it more baking?

Oops hope you get the chance for a nap today - 5.15 is toooo early Shock

Buckets yay for car share which means you get the car every day you need Grin

Pert glad to hear it's still grinding along, even if it is slow. It'll be worth all the hassle when you move in Smile Ta re photos too, we did have lots of fun!

Tweaky are you tweaking yet? Come on! I only have a comms strategy and some work force planning to do today - need some distraction!!!

CaptainCaveman · 20/08/2010 08:40

Morning all, I think i have a whiff of a hangover Hmm. Went out with dh last night, drank no more than usual but feel a little light and fuzzy headed this morning. Oh dear, when will I ever grow up.

crispy welcome home, it was quiet without you Wink

tweakers happy tweaking Grin

Morning hotpot oops and any other early birds

I'm also Sad today. I found out last night that my oldest and dearest friend is engaged - that is good news, but I'm sad coz I found out on facebook. I rang her to congratulate her and she said they actually got engaged a month ago but she wanted to tell family and friends before announcing it on fb. I obv don't feature in that category. She was my chef bridesmaid and we've been friend since we were 8 Sad and [happy]

hotterpotter · 20/08/2010 08:52

Oh cece that is Sad for you. Perhaps you will need to look around for some new bezzie mates....... BOO Grin

CrispyTheCrisp · 20/08/2010 08:56

LOL hots Grin

cece that is really rubbish Sad. Can you tell her how you feel?

hotterpotter · 20/08/2010 08:59

Crispy there are some warm ladies awaiting a status update...

tweakers · 20/08/2010 08:59

cor, lots creeping out from under their stones Smile morning all!

cc that is sad. Did she have an explanation for not telling you?

DH wants me to ask you all something re your aug babes.... can they do a 12 piece jigsaw by themselves? I told him that i reckon they all could but he's convinced that DS is a child genius Grin

tweakers · 20/08/2010 09:02

ooh Sgt Hots has got her whip out already!

hotterpotter · 20/08/2010 09:03

Well Thor could probably eat a 12-piece jigsaw by himself Grin but he certainly couldn't do one.

oopsandbabycoconuts · 20/08/2010 09:04

Tweaky - DD hates puzzles, she refuses to build them and if you put one infront of her she tskes the bits and feeds them to her toys! She will do one under duress but I don't push the issue, not that I've aqnswered you question!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 20/08/2010 09:06

not 12 pieces either - our biggest puzzle is 8 pieces! The boy IS a genius!

CrispyTheCrisp · 20/08/2010 09:10

Ok, ok Hots

DD2 probably could do a jigsaw but has zero interest. DD1 on the other hand, i remember doing a 20 piece puzzle by herself when she was 2 and 1 month (was Xmas pressie hence why i remember). The Orchard toys ones (farm and jungle) are lovely BTW and easy as you know which animal to look for in the next piece

tweakers · 20/08/2010 09:13

damn! DH is right?!! i might forget to tell him!

tweakers · 20/08/2010 09:32

DS is doing jigsaws similar to this set except he's got a bus, car, train and fire engine in his box

hmm, actually, he's sorting out what bits go with what jigsaw too ie separating car from bus bits etc. oh my! he obviously is a genius!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 20/08/2010 09:46

Tweaky - I just got DD1's fairy set out (2 and 3 pieces) and we built them now she is making tea for them Hmm With her the mind is very willing and able but the body just isn't quite at the same level!

tweakers · 20/08/2010 09:53

lol! i love it that you've got the jigsaws this morning!

we're apparently bored of jigsaws here now and have moved onto making stickle brick planes for mummy and daddy! incidentally, mummy's plane is bigger than daddy's Smile

tweakers · 20/08/2010 09:59

woah! it feels like Pea is knocking on the door to come out ConfusedGrin

oops can you reassure me that having two little ones is doable... i got a bit freaked yday with cousin's DD and DS here. DS is at a toy throwing stage and her DD narrowly missed having a fire engine landing on her. i guess i was just a bit overwhelmed by it all. its great being at the stage now where i don't have to watch him every second but as of x number of days time, i'm going to have to go back to red alert status and just the thought of it is exhausting. i tried to explain it to mum and she just said 'well its a bit late to change your mind now!' no shit sherlock!

CrispyTheCrisp · 20/08/2010 10:00

That's coz Mummy needs a bigger one to accommodate her bigger tummy Wink

DD1 doing cutting and DD2 drawing. No zoo as too wet and DD1 has lost swimming priviledges due to being a little j%&w%4"%^&. Instead we are going to brave a shoe shop for DD2 and DD1 is allowed to buy something in Hobbycraft if her improved behaviour continues

CrispyTheCrisp · 20/08/2010 10:04

Tweakers, when DD1 arrives she will mainly sleep and eat. DS will see no threat with the sleeping (either in a moses basket out of the way or sling) and the eating can be a family cuddle with books or TV. You'll be just fine Smile

I found 6 months + a more difficult stage as the second one is into stuff and annoys the older one. Then i told DD1 to go and sit on a windowsill or at the table to keep out of DD2's way

tweakers · 20/08/2010 10:19

i guess its the throwing toys thing that i'm mostly worried about. but thanks for warning re 6mth stage ConfusedHmmGrin

erm, not wanting to cry wolf but i feel 'different'..... back's aching, under bump is aching, might try a couple of paracetomol...

maybe i won't make it to mw appt this afternoon afterall...

CaptainCaveman · 20/08/2010 10:19

tweakers O would push a jigsaw around the floor and try to get 2 pieces to fit without success Grin. I don't think jigsaws are his calling.

crispy I've said I'll go over to see friend after hols. whats sad is that we've both not made the effort to see each other, although she's always great fun when we do get together. Maybe it's just me mourning what it would have been like if I'd made more of an effort. Anyway, I've got 20 odd bezzer mates at my fingertips Grin

CaptainCaveman · 20/08/2010 10:19

go tweakers go!

tweakers · 20/08/2010 10:20

and yes, i did deliberately ignore your comment re plane size!

hotterpotter · 20/08/2010 11:03

Ooh tweaky do you feel like having a baby today/tomorrow????? Then get:

  1. tweaking
  2. bouncing, hips wide, on your gym ball
  3. posting your progress on a regular basis
Grin
