and diggers. oh my goodness. how cool!

MrsMiamla · 10/08/2010 10:03

oooh, i'm going to be the best mummy ever if there are diggers on there as well!!

oops oh yes, DS was 2 hours but same theory!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 10/08/2010 10:06

DD's fav thing on youtube is the big green tractor song. The music is very country but there video is just pictures of green tractors - we watch it at least 4 times a day.

QueenofDreams · 10/08/2010 10:09

morning everyone

yay to oopsagirls on sleep!

dizzy hope puppy has been found

Raining here today. I just hope the rain clears the air a bit. It's been so muggy and hot and grey for weeks now! need to go get dressed so I can take grumpy boy to bounce & rhyme.

CrispyTheCrisp · 10/08/2010 11:28

Just posting from the middle of the Irish sea Grin

Up at 4.30am and made it here ok, although the suspect waterproofing on the roof of the Landy could mean all our stuff is wet as it peed it down all the way Hmm

dizz can't (well i suppose i can) understand why Ikea are being so unhelpful Sad. Hope puppy returns soon Smile

Hurrah for sleep oops Smile

Glad to hear those vibes are positive today miamla. Also i meant to say TS's posts yesterday were very insightful and lovely Smile

Hiya QoD, have you managed to sort the bastard bank?

DD1 only asks for FuzzBox, pink pink sunshine, Jolene and Red's husband on utube Grin

TwilightSurfer · 10/08/2010 12:44

Crisp don't forget pics.

Miamla thanks. I guess I'm just sharing all the things I wish I'd told myself or did tell myself in some cases. Smile

Not sleeping well here. DH is working on a project at work that's had him there almost round the clock since Sunday. Sad Please send the sleep fairies.

QueenofDreams · 10/08/2010 13:03

crispy Haven't hgot it properly sorted yet. Have opened an account with a new bank, am now waiting for the 'opening pack' to come through so I can activate the account then transfer cb payment and direct debits to new account, so I'm in limbo at the moment. HSBC are giving it over to a debt collector so I will have to make an arrangement with THEM about a payment plan. Still pissed off with HSBC, but not going to stress about it any more as stressing acheives nothing but to upset me!

TS sorry sleep fairies have been hard at work here! Will forward them on to you though :)

cyteen · 10/08/2010 13:05

Crisp have a fabulous holiday with your family :) Are you going to hook up with the fragrant Gardenia?

lwfh thanks for that tip, I shall utilise it next time DS wants to hit play with the laptop.

loti, Miamla, TS, oops hello :)

dizzy I hope that FB speaks true and Puppy is yomping back towards his loving owner right now, courtesy of a little thread magic. DS's beloved monkey almost never ventures outside the house for this very reason, although I appreciate that sometimes it's impossible to stop the little blighters angels.

Well, my family have gone back down south and all was well in the end - I guess we just need time to relax into each other [uptight emoticon] DS really loved spending time with them, which was ace, but I think it was all rather taxing for him as he's been unusually, er, high spirited since they left. Went to get his feet measured at John Lewis; he stropped in the cafe, broke a sugar bowl, tried running off x 1 million, then just barely allowed the woman to measure his feet before violently refusing to try any of the shoes. I put him straight to bed when we got home, as he is clearly overtired.

Just waiting for my lunch to cook. Today's allocation of courgettes is in a pasta sauce. Yesterday's was in an omelette. I wonder what tomorrow will bring? Hmm

oopsandbabycoconuts · 10/08/2010 13:40

Chutney Cyteen??

Crispy - have fun and hope stuff is not too damp. Give VG and the lentilly one big hugs from us please.

We are a tad damp here! Went to swap some clothes DD2 was given and the heavens opened on us.

cyteen · 10/08/2010 13:42

Arf. There are already three big jars of marrow chutney on the side. DP doesn't like chutney Hmm Grin I did manage to palm some giant courgettes off on my family yesterday, so only another metric tonne or so to get through.

oopsandbabycoconuts · 10/08/2010 13:48

Courgette cake?

TwilightSurfer · 10/08/2010 14:16

Had to Google Courgette. Zucchini! I use it in stir fry with yellow summer squash and sweet onions, lots of soy sauce (figuratively speaking), & chicken over white rice. OR I chop it and add it (usually last because it tends to melt) to my mexican chicken soup (recipe in my notes on fb). That's as far as my culinary skills go with that bit of produce.Grin

QueenofDreams · 10/08/2010 14:22

Courgettes: stuff with sweetcorn and cheese then bake. yum.

oopsandbabycoconuts · 10/08/2010 14:45

or my very very favorite (and DH eats them too Shock) courgette fritters with premesan. mmmmmmm

QueenofDreams · 10/08/2010 14:53

HAve seen a bugaboo bee on ebay with all extras currently on at £122. I so wish I had that money!

MrsMiamla · 10/08/2010 15:01

well i've learnt an important lesson today... don't fall asleep before your toddler does!

i put him in his room for a nap and then went off to bed myself. When i woke up, i went in to see him and he'd tucked himself up under his blanket with both teddies... no problem!

When he woke up, he was screeching for me. I found him completely naked, standing in the middle of his room with a bit of poo on his foot! Still no problem, comforted him, cleaned his foot and whilst getting a new nappy out, I found his previous one...completely clean Hmm I then spent the next half hour on a poo search!!

Judging by his sheets, he stripped naked, did a poo and then tucked himself up into bed...fun fun fun! It was quite funny about how upset he was about having a teeny bit of poo on his foot though compared to the amount he'd been sleeping in on his bed!

MrsMiamla · 10/08/2010 15:02

sorry, hope none of you were eating whilst reading that!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 10/08/2010 16:51

Miamla - that story makes me grateful DD has no interest in undressing herself (yet) She loves being naked as long as she gets some help with the undressing.

MrsMiamla · 10/08/2010 17:52

oops i didn't think DS did until i found him earlier!

dizzydixies · 10/08/2010 18:49

have just sat down, in time for a meeting at 7pm

hi, bye

GladioliBuckets · 10/08/2010 22:20

Hi all

Qod Courgettes, sweetcorn and melted cheese - genius!

Bit sad tonight, after a few days stuck together here in Cornwall, DH & I are coming to the conclusion that Kurt might be a little on the Aspie side after all. Still got to see HV on Tues and it might all just be a communication thing to be grown out of or a hearing thing but I have decided I need to face up to the idea that autism is a possibility. I was so sure but they are all so different, we clearly have the genes and things just aren't 100% right so I can't rule it out.

Add that to one big mofo of a migraine all morning with full-on vomiting down to the bile and having to lie absolutely still to stop my brain trying to break out of my skull, not been the best day of our holiday.Sad

hotterpotter · 10/08/2010 23:36

Hello lovelies I'm back Smile no time to catch up properly as am exhausted and the house is covered in filthy clothes waiting for tomorrow and the washing machine but just wanted to check in and am happy to see that Miamla you didn't have your baby without me. Feel free to go into labour any time now Wink

Hope you are all well and look forward to chatting tomorrow Smile[kisses]

TwilightSurfer · 11/08/2010 00:52

(((hugs)))Buckets

Glad you're home HP.

I look forward to another blazing night. Literally. CD30 today and for the last 4 I have felt like I would spontaneously combust at some point during the night. I've woken each morning fearing I'd see the scorched outline of my body on my bed sheets. My hormones are stark raving mad! What possible reason would a normal body's thermostat shoot so high in the middle of the night? I'm not sweating mind you. I just feel like my skin is beyond sunburnt. If I wake slightly and calm my mind and do some controlled breathing I can turn it down enough to manage. WTH!!! Come on AF and extinguish these flames!!!

springaporesling · 11/08/2010 03:33

LOL Miamla! DS also loves vehicles. His favourite little walk at the moment is to go and see the diggers down the road from us - there was a 'ment scissor' (cement mixer) there last night too Grin. His you tube favourite at the moment is the firefighter robot dance.

QoD Blush from me as that is who I work for - sorry can't be of any help and that they haven't been more accommodating.

Buckets hope you get some answers.

Hots glad you had fun.

Crispy enjoy the holiday.

Cyteen and CC families! Wish me luck mine are still here for another 3 weeks! If Mum tells me that she'd 'thought that' immediately after I've suggested something to do with DS one more time - i.e he's tired, over-excited, hungry, hot etc - one more time I might throttle her. As if she's the expert on DS and of course he behaves impeccably for her and only ever has tantrums when he's with me. I wonder if that might be because I'm the only one who says no to him?! I know they're only minor whinges but still!

luckoftheirish · 11/08/2010 07:10
