Smarties on marshmallows? That actually sounds quite delicious Blush... not my usual treat of choice but for some reason... hmmmm

Have a fun time!

New haircuts are also very fun and refreshing :)

Wow sounds even better! And even easier, I think, than rice krispie treats! (my staple when I can't make anything else)

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/10/2010 21:48

I've never had or seen those pistachio!

ronshar · 15/10/2010 21:53

loulou33 · 15/10/2010 22:04

ah that's a shame Star as Diggerland is sooooo cool, we went to the one in Devon and both boys loved it. J wanted to stay all day and was allowed on pretty much everything as long as he was with an adult [like i would have left him on a 12ton digger on his own Hmm] Hope you manage to go soon, it think they are open weekends still aren't they?

good luck with potty training star, he does sound ready - j is nowhere near ready and DS1 was 2 1/2 so will leave for a while. I found that leaving it til he are really, definitely ready was less hassle and it was sorted within a week. A friend in RL potty trained her dd at 18 months and at 2 she still has daily accidents but they can't get her back in nappies. They were using real nappies and she hated the bulkiness of them...its been a nightmare and they are stuck with it. Gina ford's potty training book is pretty good and straightforward but don't tell anyone i mentioned her name!!

Pistachio - J is showing interest in dolls and he was rocking one and stroking her face just this evening. DS1 said he needs a baby brother/sister. I told him not from me he won't, so he suggested daddy had one then Hmm

All very dull here - loads of work to do, have a job interview next week, cold still lingering moan moan moan.....Grin

Oh yes Star, re potty training. Poppy is using a potty regularly at home but we still have her in nappies. I have a week off this coming half term and we're going "cold turkey" that week(during the day anyway!) We're also going to see In the Night Garden live that week Grin

StarExpat · 15/10/2010 22:11

Healthy Grin

I'll have to go on another holiday to diggerland. Too far of a car journey for dh Hmm. We are going to that model village/railway that csws spoke of earlier. 45 min journey and Q will sleep on the way. Dh thinks that's too far. So, we'll go without him! Ha!

StarExpat · 15/10/2010 22:12

I will check out gina ford's book

StarExpat · 15/10/2010 22:12

Best of luck, HMM :)

Honeymoonmummy · 15/10/2010 22:26

Thanks. I'm planning to put a carrier bag and towel on her car seat - tip from another MNer Wink

StarExpat · 15/10/2010 22:37

I bought "bright bots" training pants from amazon. Child will feel wet and discomfort but stops a mess. But only good for one accident. Needs changing and washing after 1 accident. They are very good!

ronshar · 15/10/2010 22:45

Jaffa cakes are party essentials in my house. Mostly for me to eat to be honest.
Potty training can be easy if the child is willing to go with it.
HMM I would stop with the nappies if P is happy using a potty. She will regress when the new baby arrives if you leave it too long.

W is so stubborn he is refusing to even take a dirty nappy off now. Little bugger can only say no and scream really loudly at the moment. Brilliant.

Star that isnt what I meant at all but no you mention it???Wink

Coconutfeet · 16/10/2010 10:39

Happy Birthday to me! (Do any of the LOs have birthdays today? I've completely lost track now that we don't have the stats).

I've some lovely presents and a lie-in, which I needed as I went out for dinner with some friends last night and got home really late.

My dsis is coming over to look after S later so that dp and I can go into town for a meal.

Pistachio I've never heard of those things either, but they look lovely. They must be a Scottish delicacy. Smile How many friends is T having over today? We had 6 for S's birthday tea and it was bedlam but they loved it. Have fun!

Star - I'd go to Diggerland with you one day when it's open again. I'm pretty sure it's near 50ft too. I reckon we could get there fairly easily in the car.

Happy Birthday CF, enjoy your night out Smile
pistachio - hope the sitting still plan works.
It's DD's birthday tomorrow, but we have my family coming round today, as DH has agreed we'll go to see his aunt for lunch tomorrow. She lives in Wales......
He can't understand why I'm so annoyed! 2 hours there and 2 hours back. They all take their bloody dogs (about 6 last time) and DD will have no chance to play with her presents.
And then he made the mistake of getting cross this morning as i tried to sort the washing in the kitchen when he wanted to do something dull in there.... i pointed out very clearly, that there were no other opportunities to wash the school uniform before monday - as we're OUT TOMORROW.
Angry Angry
Ho hum.
