OCADO Just do it next time!! Seriously! It is not expensive. We are on a serious budget and it is the best online shop we've found.

myjob I forgot to say, 2 poos per day. Not runny or anything either anymore (unless a really bad teeth day).

Q has that awful chesty cough again. It will probably be here all winter again. Need humidifier/vaporiser/purifier... arghhh. He was coughing most of the night last night. and saying "Urt"(hurt) about his teeth.

csws how is D doing?? I realised I hadn't asked about him but had asked about J and P Shock. How is the cuddliest little guy on earth?

StarExpat · 30/09/2010 22:01

oh I got a bargain on a wooden balance bike, too. So that;s on it's way for Q for his bday as well :) So excited about it. I hope he can do it.

Coconutfeet · 30/09/2010 22:03

Poor Q. He is a bad way at the moment.

The thing is Star, you are a much more self controlled person than me. I bet you can resist all those lovely extras they sell at Waitrose. If I go there I find I've spent about £50 and only have one carrier bag to show for it. God only knows what I'd be like online...

Oh and we average two poos a day here too.

How are you doing now Loulou?

StarExpat · 30/09/2010 22:09

Ocado online doesn't shove extras in your face. Truly. When I actually go to waitrose I spend much more than I do online with ocado. Try it :)

Coconutfeet · 01/10/2010 07:12

Ok - I'll give it a go. I have used them before, but not since they've been doing all the Tescos price-match stuff.

myjob, his teachers will be happy that he is always there on time!

csws - well, you have a good little tiny bundle of an excuse Wink

What's the weather like near you, myjob?

50ftQueenie · 01/10/2010 14:07

CF - I find that even I am more restrained when shopping online. If I actually go shopping, I can double the price of the usual weekly shop without actually adding anything by way of useful goods. Blush But I usually find I am ok with Ocado unless we need shampoo or similar. Then I go silly and buy Burt's Bees or something.... I did the shop with Sainsbury's this week and wasn't impressed with the volume of food when it arrived. So I did a comparison with Ocado and Ocado was about £3 more expensive. I am going with them again next week. Wink

Myjob - Poor DS gets very muddled..... DH sometimes takes him to school and is always running late. So when I take him again after a run of daddy DS panics when he see that there isn't anyone lined up. He always thinks he's super late and everyone has gone in, but in fact, I am always super early. Grin

Star - My mum won a balance bike in a raffle so M is getting that as part of her present too. Smile

Well dh is asleep on the sofa... No idea why he is so tired Hmm
I'm on my iPhone on MN. Q turns 2 tomorrow! Not sure exactly what we will do tomorrow still but presents wrapped and have balloons and a banner and cake mix/frosting...etc.

50ftQueenie · 02/10/2010 07:31

Happy Birthday Q! Have a lovely day and enjoy the roar cake.

Happy Birthday Q! Have a lovely day, whatever you do.

I'm still recovering from S's tea-party yesterday. We're off to the zoo today.

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/10/2010 09:43

Happy birthday Q!

pepperrabbit · 02/10/2010 10:12

Morning - Happy Birthday Q!
We're slowly coming to life here after my sister's 40th birthday party last night GrinConfused and a bit Biscuit.
It was a James Bond theme, so we'd organised cocktails - I had an orange one and a blue one and then i moved on to wine..... there was dancing Hmm
I have a monster blister on my heel - which is odd as i wore backless gold sandals!

Thank you for birthday wishes!!
Glad ds' lump is ok, myjob.
Pepper - sounds like a fun night :)
Cf have fun at the zoo today!
Phew! Busy busy day. Went to golden hinde ship in the morning on south bank, then pizza then a steam train kiddie ride in Waterloo station then tube to natural history museum to see the "roars" then to play at science museum. Then home to open presents and have cake.
When we lit the candles and sang happy birthday to him, his face was a picture! So excited and shocked! Lol so sweet.
He adores his garage. And tunnel and motorbike toy (just like daddy's). Loved the dinosaur cake.
I can't believe dh just made that by cutting pieces off of normal cake to create a dinosaur. My plan was to put jelly dino treats atop frosted cupcakes Blush

loulou33 · 02/10/2010 21:40

Hi all

Happy Birthday Q, Glad he had a good day, sounds like proper little boy day out!!

Pepper - sounds like a good night out, always nice to have a mystery injury to solve?! Mine usually involve large bruises Hmm DS1 would have loved a james bond party, he's mad about JB!!

Am feeling better thanks - the stitches are now seriously itchy and annoying...went to GP as the ones one my CS scar are really sore and 'gappy' [sorry tmi]...have appt on Monday to have them removed if they haven't dissolved by then, I'm a bit squeamish about them and can't bear to look!! Dr gave me Bactroban cream to put on but didn't say there was an infection, not sure what to make of that Hmm

DH's dad in hospice, not looking good...may well be looking after the kids on my own this next week...jump everytime the phone rings

StarExpat · 03/10/2010 10:30

Haha hally :)

Coconutfeet · 03/10/2010 14:33

Hally Birthday Star! Hope you've got your washer now? Are you doing anything else to celebrate?

I love the pictures of Q. And that dinosaur cake is great!

We went to the zoo yesterday. S really enjoyed it. I had the following conversation with him in the morning though:

Me: We're going on a train today.
S: Might see a man driving the train.
Me: Yes. Or we might see a lady driving the train.
S: No. Ladies don't drive trains. Ladies sit in the back.
Me: Hmm

How depressing.

50ft - If "even you" are more restrained when shopping online, I'm tempted to try a Waitrose shop this week. Wink
