Is there anything on the market that you want to go and look at star?

Happy Birthday Emma!
Is there anything you want bringing in KSal? I assume that you are in Lister?

StarExpat · 17/09/2010 06:11

Yes there's loads on the market because nothing is selling lol so if we do get the offer we're in a good position to offer lower and bigger choice than in the market boom when we first bought. Was crazy then ad take what you can get.

I found someone selling a garage second hand. Picking it up tonight - along with a pop up tunnel/tent that folds down flat. :)

csws thats a really kind offer but i'm all set here. got an awful lot of chocolate that i am not sure i should eat as i await the results of a gtt yesterday. too much time to think in here. latest is that i will be delivering nex thursday and baby will have a tube put down its nose into its stomache to check the route beforebeing allowed to feed... as apparently problems with the digestive tract could be the cause for the excessive fluid. poor baby Sad

good news is emma came in to see me yesterday and is loving her kitchen... she keeps reminding me why i am doing all this! she is such a lovely thing

although its cool that i can post from this kindle it is a bit of a faff... but thanks for your messages.

50ft and myjob will be pleased to hear that i have an awful lot of knitting time... am making the most of it!

StarExpat · 17/09/2010 12:54

Tell me the benefits of a kindle and what you like about it, Ksal :)

Glad you're knitting and got to see Emma and I hope all is well with the baby when you deliver.

Does Emma talk about the baby coming?

KSal · 17/09/2010 14:58

star, mainly it is very simple to download books and the screen is great for reading and i love reading. the internet is a bonus although pretty slow to navigate and all black and white. i bought the version with unlimited 3G so its a godsend while in here. i basically bought it as a treat for myself Grin

the classics are all free on amazon too.

Emma has been asking to see the baby (i.e. the bump) and giving it kisses and cuddles. she also has become a lot more interested in baby dolls but beyond that i don't think she really understands iyswim...

Are you in Luton now, pistachio? :) SO excited!

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/09/2010 20:26

Luton?! She's not going to Luton! I'd be bloody well getting to meet her if she was.

StarExpat · 17/09/2010 20:44

Oh Blush I thought it was near there! I'll check again. lol

StarExpat · 17/09/2010 20:49

I've jsut looked. It's near Watford. Way outside of London, which is good for driving there, thank goodness... just off M25 it looks like... googlemaps says 48 minutes :)

Sorry csws Blush I think I just thought, North of me, well past london - that's where csws lives! lol

ronshar · 17/09/2010 22:24

Ksal. How are you? Hang on in there not long to go before you get to meet your new beautiful baby. OOO I am Envy I love that first meeting of a new born. Even if you are knackered and in painSmile
Star & CSWS it is near Amersham so prob half way between the two of you. It is about 2 hours from me.
I am still planning on getting up but I have had a really bad week. DH & I have reached just about rock bottom and I really dont know what to do about itSad

Anyway I am drinking beer so all is good for now.

StarExpat · 17/09/2010 22:37

oh no ronshar :( what's happened to make you reach rock bottom? Come let pistachio and I try to make you feel better!

ronshar · 17/09/2010 22:42

Lots of stuff really Star. I am not sure if it is just me getting really fed up being at home all the time while he swans in and out happy as larry. DD1 is giving me loads of trouble at the moment. I seem to spend my time driving DD2 back & forth to gym. W is getting to that stage where he is really demanding (but still really cute)
I dont know. It could be me but I just feel really unhappy and want to blame someone else.

Not good company.

StarExpat · 17/09/2010 22:47

:(

((((hug))))

ronshar · 17/09/2010 22:51

You are an angel {hugs back]
Dont tell 50ft she will feel uncomfortableWink

StarExpat · 17/09/2010 22:57

:) Have you thought about the school nurse idea more? Maybe while W is in "school"?

ronshar · 17/09/2010 23:16

Yes I need a job as a nurse in order to do the back to nurseing course but cant get a job until I have done the course!!! I am looking into it further.

StarExpat · 17/09/2010 23:55

It must be really draining with the pre teen hormones and all that goes with it, and two little ones, too!
Does your dh get home in time that you could go out even to gym or wherever for a bit in the evening?
I can only imagine how knackered you are after chasing W all day! He is like Houdini with his escapes from confined places and he's fast!
If I get to pistachios before you, I'll order you a tall glass of wine (or any alcohol of your choice) :)
Q is a pretty easy toddler but he is curled up and unhappy tonight. It looks like he has a tummy ache poor baby.

Coconutfeet · 18/09/2010 09:24

Ronshar Sad Is it that you're the one making everybody else's lives are running smoothly, but not getting the chance to pay much attention to your own? I feel like that sometimes and that's with just one child.

KSal - I hope it's not too awful in the hospital. I know I'd be climbing the walls. But there's something very exciting about knowing you won't be leaving there until you've got the baby. I'm very excited for you!! Hope it all goes well.

I wish I was coming up to meet you all on Sunday. Have fun!

50ftQueenie · 18/09/2010 20:16

Ah Ronshar - I am ok with hugs these days. I have a few huggy friends so have got used to it and hugs are good when you need them. Wink Do you want me to twat DH round the head with a saucepan for you? DS is driving us mad at the moment. I know you ladies think he's a poppet but dear me he's not! He has started answering back and being REALLY rude to DH (which is MY job not his). So I half know how you feel. I feel the same sometimes about my DH. He pretty much does what he likes, goes out when he wants and never asks me if it's ok. It's his birthday on the 23rd and I had planned to make him all his favourite foods as a present, but instead he's going to a stag do. He never asked me at all. So, no present for him. I feel like I am ALWAYS at home with the children while he has fun. We should sort out going out for a piss up Ronshar, I think we both need it.

Star - You are a poppet. Smile

KSal - I am thinking of you and hoping you get time for LOADS more knitting before the baby arrives.

I too wish I could be meeting up with you ladies tomorrow, but I am otherwise engaged. Have lots and lots of fun (Psst.... Star. Give Ronshar a big hug from me).

Oh and I have FINALLY made a career decision..... Teaching. Preferable lower junior age. Grin I am happy with this decision.

OP posts:
KSal · 18/09/2010 21:14

all ticking along here apart from my blood pressure which has rocketed today so i think they are going to change my drugs. other than that all good. allowing myself to get a bit excited about meeting baby now. got too much time to think about risks etc in here though.

sorry you are feeling low ronshar. definitely sounds like you need a firm plan for your own future... and a night on the piss with 50ft...

have fun tomorrow!

50ftQueenie · 18/09/2010 21:27

You need to find a really complicated lace pattern to knit. You'll have to concentrate really hard on it and won't be able to think about anything else.... Hope they manage to keep get your bp under control KSal, but honestly, being stuck in there with all the worry is bound to be increasing your blood pressure. Secret (hug).

OP posts:
StarExpat · 18/09/2010 22:53

I saw that! :)
Can't wait to meet pistachio! And see Ronshar!
2 weeks until Q is 2 :)

pepperrabbit · 19/09/2010 12:00

Have a good day ladies, we're on the party treadmill today wth DS1 at a party at the mo and DS2 and DD out this afternoon. at least DD & DS2 are at the same party this week.
I have a horrid cold (possibly even man flu Hmm). So no doubt all the short ones will have it by Tuesday....
Hope the christening goes well CSWS.
Ksal, how's the knitting (and the bp?)
