Thanks, Twiglets. What will Polanski do next?

Resign hopefully!

Though he would need a modicum of self awareness to do that.

No. His interview this morning was proof of that!

I would like to say some serious self reflection but we all know that isn't going to happen

His only survival tactic that could work is the one he seems to have chosen. Talk about Gaza and Pal constantly to keep the extremist members satisfied and to keep pressure on Labour to make more far left policies/decisions to again please the extremist more powerful members.

It's like an obsession.

It's like an obsession.

Obsession / mental illness / cult / ideology

Whatever we are calling it the fact is that more often than not every aspect of their lives becomes consumed by Gaza/Pal/antizionism/Jew hate

Sometimes I have actually listened to a person speak or read a post online and felt sorry for them because of how totally this has taken over their very being.

Definitely feel sorry for all those poor kids growing up having parents like this. Some will break away once older and be more free thinking etc but most are likely to have been brainwashed to much to ever live free from it.

LuckyHazelFox · 09/10/2026 10:14

I did watch the successful Labour candidate's speech about tackling homelessness. It's made Polanski look even more foolish. She's somebody who wants to put the heart of Camden first. I can't stand the party but fair play to her.

It's very unhealthy, especially for a UK political party with the name "Green". What about the environment?

I sometimes feel a flicker of sympathy for them because they are so consumed by hate. It can't be a comfortable state of mind.

But the flicker doesn't last long 😂

I feel the same. So much frustration at the fact that they can't see that this is unnecessary, and everyone would be happier and more successful without all of this division and hate. But humans are tribal and it is tempting to find a common enemy, and this is easily manipulated.

SharonEllis · 09/10/2026 10:44

His interview this morning on Today was despicable. He will find that he can never be enough for the palestine obsessives who actively want Israel destroyed, but by refusing again, to say Israel has a right to exist as a homeland for the Jewish people he has crossed a line that decent people don't want to see crossed. With Lucas, Ramsay and others openly criticising him surely he either has to go or there will be a split, possibly both?

EasternStandard · 09/10/2026 10:50

Thanks. I heard a bit of the interview but need to listen again. I just don’t get what the justification for the motion could be.

My daughter pointed out that many of the followers seem to have Cluster B personality disorder. I think she might have a point.

I hope it’s ok, but I’ve copied and pasted the following bullets point because they clarify the disorder much more succinctly than I can:

A persistent disregard for the rights, safety, and feelings of others. People with ASPD often break social or legal rules, act impulsively, lie repeatedly, and show a lack of remorse.

It involves an overwhelming desire to be noticed, leading to constant attention-seeking, dramatic or provocative behaviour, and rapidly shifting, shallow emotions. Often struggle heavily with emotional regulation and may engage in impulsive or self-harming behaviours.

Involved a grandiose sense of self-importance, and constant need for excessive admiration or praise, a sense of entitlement, and a lack of empathy for others - virtue signalling, moral grandstanding.

Common Traits and Characteristics

  • Emotional Intensity: Strong, volatile reactions to everyday stressors or perceived slights.
  • Impulsivity: Acting quickly on urges without weighing long-term consequences.
  • Interpersonal Conflict: Difficulty forming and keeping healthy, balanced relationships due to boundary issues or manipulation.
  • Reduced Empathy: A diminished capacity to understand or care about the emotional experiences of others (though the root cause varies by diagnosis)

Interesting correlation.

ScarlettOYara · 09/10/2026 11:16

It's good to see that the newly elected MP arrived in the UK as a child refugee from Somalia. She will understand the impact of conflict.

Yes, I learned about them when I first started to come into contact with militant trans rights activists about a decade ago. Obviously there is a lot of crossover with the Omnicause.

I think he'll try and hold on for dear life (with hannah spencer) as the 'voices of reason' in the Greens.

However, I suspect many in the party want him gone for being too moderate and I think he'll be ousted.

Hopefully Jezza's party will join with the Greens which should be a total shitshow interesting. Then the proper greens (ie environmentalists) can go and make a new party leaving all the loons together in 1 safe space.

More importantly, turnout according to g👀gle was only about 39%. It's voter apathy that will kill democracy.

This one just makes up stuff in his head

However it is nice to hear someone from the Green party talking about grass and roots again 😂
