Do supporters not care that Zack Polanski is a liar?

A recent thread started, “I’m seriously impressed with this guy. Anyone else find him refreshingly honest and sensible?”

He has LIED about representing the Red Cross, LIED about working for the Dept of Justice (he was hired as a role play actor for staff training), LIED about being a proper hypnotherapist, and OBFUSCATED about where he is living (avoiding council tax). And that’s just what’s been discovered in a matter of weeks!

If this were your boss, say, would you still think he was great?

Did he not think it odd that he wasn’t paying any council tax at all?

As I said-the situation with council tax and live aboard boats was complicated. Less so now, but still easy to get wrong.

Meadowfinch · 12/05/2026 19:25

It's incredible OP, isn't it ! Supposedly politically aware adults can't see how completely unacceptable this man is.

ZP is a man who made his living exploiting vulnerable women, he lied about representing a leading charity and now we find he has been defrauding his local council for three years.

How can he expect people to pay their taxes when he evades them himself? He's a con man in a sharp suit. Some people are incredibly foolish.

InstantlyBella · 12/05/2026 19:26

What do you want me to say? I don't see** anything wrong, and I wish him all the best as a recently elected councillor for the Green Party. His constituents are clearly politically switched on.

You don’t mind the hypocrisy of him driving a ‘gas guzzling’ car while exhorting his own constituents to move away from fossil fuels?

Okaaaay.

Part of being aware of the environment isn't flagellating yourself over every single resource you consume on the planet. Ultimately we are going to have an impact on the world whether we like it or not. This man achieved something pretty monumental, both personally and for the people in his community. I honestly can't begrudge him living it up a little in celebration. I think we would all do the same were it us. This is just a witch hunt.

SomethingFun · 12/05/2026 19:52

I’m frequently astonished how much people are willing to overlook if they believe someone represents their views. Farage is a liar and a twat but Reform supporters support him because he says the things they want to hear. Likewise this knobhead says the things you want to hear about the environment and Gaza so you stick your fingers in your ears when he’s not paying his council tax and lying about his past. I do think our elected officials should be held to a higher standard than the average person in the street and if they lie and are on the take then they should be booted out. Do we really think we couldn’t find 5ish clever and morally responsible individuals to lead our political parties and that this is the best that we can do?

Words I never thought I'd hear myself say, but I feel so sorry for Caroline Lucas. Sorry that she has to witness the destruction of the Green Party she once led with integrity to people like you and the ridiculous 'Baggy'.

Typical hypocrite. He fits the description of hard left liberal.
What about the Green MSP with a student visa? This shitshow is beyond surreal. I am not surprise the U.K. is a laughing stock.

He's not a Liberal.Liberalism is based on everyone having individual rights as lng as they don't impinge on others' rights. Not ' everyone has individual rights as long as they have the approved views (as in not women who disagree with us that TWAW or Jewish people who go about their own business instead of going on marches to condemn Israel even if they aren't Israeli. They deserve to have their rights taken away)

What hyperbolic nonsense. The Green Party has moved beyond being a single issue political protest party. It is now a fully fledged alliance of various communities and interest groups coming together to make serious change for the people of this country. This is politics for the modern era. No more dull old white men in suits telling people how they should live their lives from the comfort of their £12,000,000 manor in Hertfordshire. This is real people, from the cities, urban folk young and old, leading a rebellion against a status quo that every other political party vows to keep chained to us for the end of time. Robbing us of our money and our future.

So spare us the concern trolling.

Come back and tell me about serious change when your leader learns how our economy works. Not his imaginary economy where Zack goes to the BoE and asks them to print some money (his own comment in an interview). The actual economy where we have a £3 trillion debt and have to pay a fuckton of interest on that debt. Zack also seems to think that’s optional because somehow he has dreamed up that we owe money to the BoE, not the bond markets (another comment of his in an interview).

The idea that the Greens have moved beyond a student protest movement is beyond ridiculous.

dottiehens · 12/05/2026 21:17

I must add that the only person I know admitted voting Green has been cheating on his council tax for years. Pretty sure they are all the same. 😂

@InstantlyBella

Wouldn’t it be quicker and easier just to have a revolution? Strike while the iron is hot, get those guillotines erected under cover of darkness or check your guns are in working order and Bob’s your uncle.
Be warned though - comrades can turn on comrades so make sure you have an escape route.

Do your parents mind you talking about them online? What are you going to do when they have to raid your inheritance to pay the tax bill? You might have to gasp get a real job!

ByQuaintAzureWasp · 12/05/2026 23:37

And presumably he supported somebody on a student visa, with no right to remain, who is not a British citizen, was nominated and elected to serve as a Scottish MP for the Greens. Bloody absolute madness that this is legally permitted.

This is a mystery to me too. I get that Starmer has made mistakes but I don't think he's been deliberately dishonest, and yet people are up in arms about every little thing, yet there doesn't seem to be any limit on what Green and Reform people can get up to and remain popular.

Totally agree, and it’s a mystery to me too.

If Keir Starmer had ANY dirt from his background, the media would absolutely have dished it up by now. They even tried to demonise him for buying a field to create a donkey sanctuary for his disabled mother … FFS!

Farage & Polanski are clearly both dodgy as f* yet the country is tearing itself apart trying to get rid of Keir Starmer🤷‍♀️ WHY … It’s as if people can’t cope with a decent politician.

Well they clearly have moved on, because now they are anti-semites as well.

To be fair to them, I don't think The Greens were. The travellers who have joined The Greens because Labour was too hard on anti semites always were.

Agree - the Green party never used to be associated with antisemitism. This is a new and very damaging development that is a stain on their reputation.

I don't think they were a big enough party for it to be something we discussed. The Corbynite tendency to antisemitism has existed for years in the far left (which I count the Greens as).

Your nationality and legal status should have no bearing on whether you want to run for public office in the United Kingdom. I think it is appalling the witch hunt that person has received, most likely because they are representing the Greens.
