Why do people like reform?

I haven't been keeping very up to date with politics. I usually vote Labour. I don't really understand the popularity of reform, could anyone explain it to me?
As far as I'm aware Farage doesn't actually do anything when he wins a seat somewhere so I'm not convinced they'll actually do anything? Is it just a protest vote that's gone a bit far?

I didn't say that any African countries had an ethnostate. I haven't waffled either, that's very dismissive. I would stop digging as well.

Yes best you do.

That’s not ethnically diverse though, that’s my point. Diverse would imply a certain amount of white people in a white Christian country. I’m not kidding you when I went into the Indian I got reaction like “What are you doing in this place?”. Again only we were the only whites in there and the fellow patrons looked confused we were there and stared. Nice meal, bit weird and got aniseed stuff at the end instead of mints. Staff were very nice but I felt like I was in another country and this wasn’t an area for white people. I didn’t have a clue what any of the stuff on the menu was and I had to get the waiter to translate and describe every dish, he was very happy to.

I'm not sure why you keep droning on about seeing people of different ethnicities in the UK. It's a very well known phenomenon that people from certain nationalities accumulate in the same area.

I used to live in a very Greek area and was not slack jawed every time I encountered a Greek person. You're stunned to find Asians in an Indian restaurant for example.

The vast majority of people in the UK are white British, so to suggest that you can go days before seeing a white person is hyperbolic nonsense.

I'm not sure what your religion has to do with anything. Were you holding out a cross?

Someone early implied I wasn’t telling the truth. Anyway having pockets of different nationalities is hardly integration.

It happens in every country, see the Brits in Spain.

Brits in Spain don’t get social housing though. Remember London social housing is 50% headed by FIRST generation immigrants.

Because we have run out of options
labour promised us the earth and have turned out to be a complete disgrace

That's not true. Immigrants in Spain are entitled to welfare if they are legal residents.

Really? 50% of their housing stock is taken by Brits? bet it’s a teeny tiny percent. You’re intentionally confusing the issue to deny just how expensive and draining on resources having poor unskilled migrants coming into this country is. The answer is not build on every spare piece of land more houses so the third world can come over. The answer is a highly selective immigration and get rid of bogus asylum claims and stop the boats, by getting the navy to patrol the channel.

What are the navy going to do in the channel?

The same as in Australia. I seem to remember them threatening to throw their babies into the water but the government stood firm and sorted the issue out. It’s the only way.

The navy are going to stop boats, process the occupants and take each individual back to their country of origin no matter the state of it?

Yup take them back to their own country or to move them overseas detention centres.

Do you really want millions of fighting aged poor uneducated men of different cultures filling up hotels, then once they’ve to refugee status having their families move over into social housing? It’s going to make our country very poor and an entirely different place with different values. Men from these countries are very different in their approach to women and many women and girls don’t feel safe with crowds of foreigner loitering the streets. Do you not get that? Are we to tolerate multiculturalism at any cost?

Who said that asylum seekers are all poor and uneducated? Asylum seekers are people fleeing persecution and people flee irrespective of their educational level.

They make up a tiny percentage of immigration yet you seem completely fixated on them. You seem to believe that asylum seekers are taking over the whole country. Yet there are nearly 70m people in the UK and they barely register.

What you're suggesting about the navy spending their time processing people and taking them back to their countries isn't feasible. First you can't send people back to a place where they could be in danger, second it would cost a lot of money and third, it would take a long time and fourth, they have rights under the law.

Detention centres would also be very expensive as they need to be staffed and run. I believe Starmer was looking at holding centres abroad but am not sure if anything has been found that's suitable.

I see the complaint all the time that Reform supporters get shut down and called racist. They just want a calm and reasonable discussion. I'm having a calm and reasonable discussion.

I see you have suggested that the PP "keep droning on"

And yet were offended when I used the word "waffle" relating to your posts.

Interesting.

I didn't think the Rwanda idea was bad tbh or some offshore detention centres. I know it’s not easy

Just trying to help. Being rude to people isn't generally a good way to persuade them of your point of view and it obviously matters to you as you are on this thread a fair bit.
