I think that I've now got to the point where I concur with everything Freedland says here.
The Dems do need to shift the focus onto a "shiny new object" to break the downward spiral. And it really pains me to say it, but I'm not sure whether Kamala Harris now fits that requirement.
Trump has survived all the negative behaviour, history, accusations, evidence and verdicts thrown at him over the last 8 years and I can't see anything happening between now and November that would suddenly make any difference to his apparent upward trajectory unless Biden steps down as the Democratic candidate.
