Reports on sky news say that Boris might stand again for PM. How do you feel about that?

I don't care that Boris had parties during lockdown (I had them too). But I do care that he completely screwed the economy by having a lockdown at all. It was so bloody obvious that this would be the outcome. For that, and for Brexit, he deserves to be exiled to his own Circle of Hell.

So no, not Boris.

Oh my god
I lost most of my friends for being anti lockdown.

i think I love you. Sorry.

I absolutely don't blame him for lockdowns. He didn't want them. He held off a long as he could. No one knew any better and I think there was no choice.

The parties were bad and his lies about them worse, but that's not the issue either.

You have to take Covid out of the picture, because who knows how anyone else would have handled it.

What we do know is that he lies, he is self-serving, he doesn't tackle corruption in his party (and is corrupt himself), he is dangerously short on attention to detail, he is unprincipled and he surrounds himself with lackies with no perceivable talent.

We can't go through that again.

WhileAFoxIsWatching · 20/10/2022 18:28

He appears to have no conscience.

PupInAPram · 20/10/2022 18:29

The fact that he's on holiday, AGAIN, should tell you everything you need to know about him. I can't believe in a nation of such talent, people think Boris is the best we can do.

lifeissweet · 20/10/2022 18:16

If Boris is the best option, we need to burn the lot down and start again.

Yes. Where is Guy Fawkes when you need him?

Yiayoula · 20/10/2022 18:30

baroqueandblue and SquirrelSoShiny

Agree wholeheartedly with both of you .
What the hell are people thinking ?
BJ is a contemptible , proven liar.

Boris is on a plane right now. He is coming back to take soundings from MP's. JRM is sounding out ERG group for block support. At the moment apparently 10 MP's have publicly given their support for Boris. 6 each for Sunak and Maudant. I would love Boris to come back. He got us those vaccines before Europe got them, allowing us to get out of lockdown. He supported people through pandemic with furlough. He got us out of EU. He saw off Corbyn and I would buy him a bloody big cake if he came back. He was elected on mandate of getting Brexit done, green jobs and levelling up. He should be given the remaining two years to see if he can make progress on these areas. I was listening to interview on the radio the other day with a city mayor. He said the leveling up money has only recently arrived and now his council will be considering how it is to be spent. I hope it goes to children who get free school meals for food in all school holidays.

I have one word for that SHITE, SHITE AND SHITE but nice troll though.

Croque · 20/10/2022 18:31

My actual choice would be Philip Hammond or Rory Stewart but they are nowhere to be found right now.

Quackpot · 20/10/2022 18:32

I think they need to call the paw patrol

Portillista · 20/10/2022 18:32

He got us those vaccines before Europe got them, allowing us to get out of lockdown

He's the bellend who put us in lockdown in the first place.

Theskyisfullofbirds · 20/10/2022 18:32

He, like Truss, is a ‘useful idiot’ for the ERG and their acolytes. Truss didn’t have the strength of character to stand up to them and so was easy to manipulate, that’s why she was chosen on the first place, Boris’s only interest is Boris and that weakness too can be manipulated to advantage.

Skyellaskerry · 20/10/2022 18:33

@PupInAPram agree. I wonder if he takes unpaid leave for the amount of holidays he takes. Completely taking the piss, disrespectful to his constituents, and arrogant in spades.

Just watching sky news, Angela raynor being interviewed, she was ranting on about no mandate and when the interviewer said but you might get boris you could see the barely concealed fury.

She is running scared at rhe thought of boris looming again and gave away more than she intended. It then fell apart for her when she started trying to slaughter the Tory fiscal plan and the interviewer asked why she didn’t even have one 😂

No, she isn't and Johnson is not coming back.

Lol aye we’d have been the only country who avoided lockdown if it wasn’t for boris . Behave 😂

I’d genuinely rather they ring up the local prison, pick a murderer at random, and let the murderer have a go at being PM. The murderer would probably have made fewer and less serious ‘mistakes’ than Boris Johnson.

I hate him. Despise him. Absolutely loathe him.

He was fired twice for dishonesty before he became PM, campaigned on a bunch of lies and by whipping up hate against immigrants and our closest allies, fired all the moderate Conservaties, illegally prorogued Parliament to avoid having his policies subject to democratic scrutiny, broke the British economy by getting rid of cheap EU labour without any plan to replace it, ordered infectious covid patients to be discharged from hospitals into care homes which killed thousands more, and then passed draconian lockdown laws while illegally partying away. Then he lied to Parliament and said there were no parties. Then photos were produced he said er I thought those weren’t parties.

Yes I know he’s jolly good at remembering the names of people he meets and buying lunch for journalists and his hair is very shiny and all but surely Britain deserves better than a lying cheating hasbeen?

If the Conservatives make him PM again I seriously think there will be riots.

@ChocFrog i’ll riot with you

Vievieln · 20/10/2022 18:35

Rishi Sunak always reminds me of Norman Wisdom.

Pickledhen · 20/10/2022 18:35

I wondered if Carrie’s expensive wallpaper is still up at number 10, or if Liz had it ripped down 🤔

My thoughts exactly. Who will fund their replacement this time. 🤑

Dibbydoos · 20/10/2022 18:36

WTAF.

General election now.

This government, the tory government before it and the tory governments before that have caused the mess we're in. We need a competent government not lying, dishonest good for nothings who care nothing for the people of this country.

Newcatbrowntail · 20/10/2022 18:37

God no,

Abhannmor · 20/10/2022 18:37

I wish I had £350 million for every mug who thinks Boris is the answer.

Port1aCastis · 20/10/2022 18:39

The foul clown was partying with his disgraceful colleagues while a close family friend of ours died on her own in ICU
So no I do not want the sleazy fucker anywhere near government again

the80sweregreat · 20/10/2022 18:39

No to any more Conservative PMs who really don't care about the people
We need a General Election.

BustyDisplay · 20/10/2022 18:39

Re the £800 a roll wallpaper. Apparently the wallpaper kept falling down because the heavy metallic surface weighed it down and the glue failed to hold it to the wall.

I loathe the Johnsons.

Bemoredog · 20/10/2022 18:40

Jesus Christ, he didn't make mistakes. He fucking lied to the country, partied whilst people couldn't visit their dying loved ones or attend funerals.

Does the country really have such a short memory ? He's a corrupt, cheating, idle, selfish fucker. There is no way he should even be in anyone's mind for PM.

We need a general election.

Skyellaskerry · 20/10/2022 18:40

I’m disgusted that the Tory members get any say after the monumental lack of any judgment they have inflicted on the country. If BJ gets over 100 MPs support, and it ends up going to the members, who idolise him, he will win. At least if MPs vote they are elected by their constituents, we don’t even know who the Tory members are and by all accounts they include people who aren’t even eligible to vote in the UK.
