Reports on sky news say that Boris might stand again for PM. How do you feel about that?

You forgot: decided that all the lockdown rules he put in place did not apply to him; lied to the Queen; generally presided over a deterioration of public standards in office that may not ever be recovered.

He is not fit for public office.

And next May we will crown a man king who cheated on his young wife from their wedding day onward and only married her to use her body to produce heirs.

Notonthestairs · 20/10/2022 21:27

Not sure what the monarchy have to do with the PM?

ChampagneCamping · 20/10/2022 21:29

The lack of morals makes Boris a big no no.

also don’t trust the Conservative party members to chose the next PM, they made such a poor decision last time.

jennakong · 20/10/2022 21:30

I just mean that people are flawed?

Why not exclude Charles from the succession if we're being so morally exacting?

pigcon1 · 20/10/2022 21:34

Whataboutery

this is not a thread about republicanism.

GreenLunchBox · 20/10/2022 21:19

Boris is on 42, Rishi on 29 🙄🤔

I think boris is now up at 47. Not sure where Rishi is

theworldhas · 20/10/2022 21:47

The same morons who elected Truss now get to elect the next one. What a farce.

theworldhas · 20/10/2022 21:51

New poll outs Labour 57% vs Tory 22%. The highest gap of either main party in polling history. Let’s see if we can get them to 0% by 2024.

Anyway, nice to Brexit is going swimmingly for the UK. Turns out kicking out all the clever moderate people from your Party wasn’t such a great plan.

theworldhas · 20/10/2022 21:53

reinstating Johnson would be an absolute disgrace.

theworldhas · 20/10/2022 21:54

I wish people would stop calling that incompetent bare faced liar by his stage name.

OhSunnyMorning · 20/10/2022 21:54

Fuck it why not. It is a shamble so it might as well be amusing to boot.

OhSunnyMorning · 20/10/2022 22:02

Please stop, this is already being reported overseas as a possibility. We are an international laughing stock. It's the equivalent of re-electing Trump

Yes. Europe is a much better place now Biden is in charge.

🙄

Anniefrenchfry · 20/10/2022 22:09

Boris is in the lead at 48 now out in support, 32 for sunak and 15 for mordaunt..still a long way to go till Monday,,

Benjispruce4 · 20/10/2022 22:21

Jesus I will leave the country!

lannistunut · 20/10/2022 22:31

Getting Johnson back would be ridiculous. So it is probably going to happen, because the Tories are deeply ridiculous.

ScruffMuffin · 20/10/2022 22:41

Please, no. This is not going to be allowed to happen. Is it?!?

paintitallover · 20/10/2022 22:53

Awful and actually shocking idea. He was ejected for a reason, and any attempt to get him back is just self serving on the part of those Conservatives. It would reflect terribly on them.

Penguinsaregreat · 20/10/2022 22:56

Bojo the clown.

RagzRebooted · 20/10/2022 23:07

ScruffMuffin · 20/10/2022 22:41

Please, no. This is not going to be allowed to happen. Is it?!?

Just said this to DH. I can't believe he's seriously in the running (in fact, in the lead), but even if he is, surely that won't actually be allowed to happen?
I just... Can't. Even.

ScruffMuffin · 20/10/2022 23:10

So many people will refuse to work under him that I'm certain there would be calls for him to resign before he even got the wallpaper back up in No. 10. Which would put us right back in this situation again. I don't like any of the frontrunners, but Sunak might be the best of a bad bunch. I believe he is the only one with the financial experience to deal with this financial shitshow.

vera99 · 20/10/2022 23:13

Fuck the Tories - they have shamed this country beyond belief.

WalkingThroughTreacle · 20/10/2022 23:15

pigcon1 · 20/10/2022 20:48

So be it, they make the bed, they can lie in it

Shitting the bed would be more accurate.

TheLoupGarou · 20/10/2022 23:18

The thought of Boris Johnson coming back, only a month after being forced to resign by his own party is completely enraging. I can't understand anyone that thinks this is somehow a good idea.

What an absolute farce this is. How ridiculous the UK must look to the rest of the world. Morons on BBC news saying "at least he got Brexit done" ...... Yeah that's panned out fucking amazing hasn't it?! Jesus wept.

vera99 · 20/10/2022 23:33

Johnson would be more crazy drama and probably lead to a good amount of decent Tories abandoning the whip. Would be interesting if PM withdrew would her supporters go to Sunak ?

BarmyArmy22 · 20/10/2022 23:36

Have people really got such short memories? He was useless at the job! It doesn't say much for the rest of the party that the only thing they can think to do is bring back the last person who fecked up the job! It simply wouldn't happen in any well functioning organisation.

Give us a General Election.
