Reports on sky news say that Boris might stand again for PM. How do you feel about that?

Posters can’t have seen the series This England on Netflix - if it’s even vaguely near the truth Boris is a Latin spouting Twonk of the highest order. He’s useless.

I think it will be him too! The public seem to want him.. and tbh I’d rather him than Sunak

So would I as it will mean the destruction of the Conservative party, hallelujah.

Truss didn't even pick up the phone to Nicola Sturgeon in her hilariously short tenure.

If BlowJo comes back then the UK deserves everything they get. Double digit mortgage rates, the lot.

This.

generalh · 20/10/2022 19:16

Absolutely not. We need a general election.

I thought that series was actually quite complimentary to him all things considered!

There's a BBC podcast about him from his school days, through his journalism career and into politics. It is interesting.

He has been manipulative, morally dubious, selfish and egocentric all his life.

Charming - yes. Funny - yes... but that's not enough to make a leader.

He gets away with absolute murder. He's been doing it for decades.

@CaptainMyCaptain I think people are allowed annual leave, sure you go on holiday and have time of work

I work in a school. I have to take my holiday entitlement when the kids break up. He's an MP. He gets a summer recess that is almost the same length of time, a week off in November, three weeks in December/January and a couple of weeks in February. That's when Parliament doesn't sit. He can take his holiday then. Plenty of time and, with almost school age kids, he'd better get used to the idea.

How do I feel?

I would hope like any same human would.

I don't want someone who lies to the monarchy, lies to the electorate, doesn't think rules apply to them, is a bully and thinks employing an abuser to a position of trust is ok.

These people are working for us to better our lives.

Johnson couldn't give a shit about anyone other than Johnson.

Excellent post

Chateaudiaries · 20/10/2022 19:23

Even Iain Martin, (brexiteer Times columnist) is calling it ‘reckless/brainless to get the egomaniac Boris back’.

Not going to happen, but so selfless of Boris to cut his Caribbean break short.

skyhighomen · 20/10/2022 19:24

Croque · 20/10/2022 16:18

Boris is the only one who can save the Tories in the medium term so they should grovel and twist his arm to get him back. But is Hulk still angry?

Boris is the only one who can save Tories?

As they say Crobynists are out of touch with reality...

TrashyPanda · 20/10/2022 18:14

The fuss about parties etc was totally unnecessary - I don't know anybody who cared about that

I don’t know anyone who didn’t think that was a fucking disgrace and that the fat lazy arse should have been kicked out.

Is the fact that he's fat important and should that feature on a list of his wrong-doing?

vera99 · 20/10/2022 19:26

itsgettingweird · 20/10/2022 19:13

Good point

He doesn't care as long as he gets what he needs.

Hayliebells · 20/10/2022 19:29

He's a self serving clown, and we need a serious grown up in charge now. The circus needs to stop. Plus, past form suggests that he'd just spend the next two years on holiday, and that's the last thing we need.

vera99 · 20/10/2022 19:29

Michael Spicer the man next door - brilliant....

Benjispruce4 · 20/10/2022 19:30

If he actually thinks this is a good idea he is an egomaniac.

Benjispruce4 · 20/10/2022 19:31

General election please but no expense involved. Let’s just have one night of policies laid out on TV and website and then we all vote.

CaveMum · 20/10/2022 19:31

He’s still under investigation. If (hopefully when) he’s found to be in breach, he will face calls to go AGAIN. And then we’ll be right back where we are now YET AGAIN!

No thanks!

VOTE LABOUR 👏

Lol aye we’d have been the only country who avoided lockdown if it wasn’t for boris . Behave 😂

I'm being slightly tongue in cheek, but it's true that lockdown and Brexit were the two single most disastrous policies in living memory.

Where did people think the furlough money was coming from, while they were baking the fabled banana bread?

If there had even been one person in the cabinet at that time who knew anything about ordinary people and the way we all have to balance our books, they would never have pursued this policy.

asblindasabat · 20/10/2022 19:33

I wonder what our late Queen would make of this if she was still here.

I also wonder did she foresee this mess happening when she appointed Liz Truss as PM two days before she died

BorisJohnsonsHair · 20/10/2022 19:34

He can fuck right off.

Snugglemonkey · 20/10/2022 19:35

asblindasabat · 20/10/2022 16:52

Well I mean, to be fair, everyone is entitled to annual leave and holidays.

Nope. Teachers have to take their leave during holiday time. Should MPs not take theirs during their generous recesses?

ScruffMuffin · 20/10/2022 19:36

Fucking hell, no. He gets away with a level of dishonesty, moral bankruptcy, narcissism and fudging that nobody else could come close to. If Boris comes back, dozens of MPs will refuse to work under him. We will end up right back in this sorry situation.

Look at two countries that didn't lockdown? Brazil and Russia, quite extraordinary death rates and damage to their economies.

Not sure how you think the NHS would have managed with no lock down either.

Brexit has actually cost far more and we'll be paying for it indefinitely, its also the root cause of the present debacle in Govt.

Wannabemummy1992 · 20/10/2022 19:39

No to Boris. IMO this country is an absolute joke to the rest of the world. A prime minister for 44 days?

GENERAL ELECTION NOW
