Ah, that’s a bet I’ll take. I reckon he’s already there. There was a lot of regret when he left. There was 155 who backed him to stay at the time, and that number has now increased. 100 is a walk in the park

Where is your source for saying that number has increased please?

Smoow · 20/10/2022 18:50

Sadly, he'd appeal more to some voters because of Brexit. Better the devil you know, but please can we have a general election! We need some stability from someone

Boxofsockss · 20/10/2022 18:51

I like Boris. I’d like him to come back but don’t see it happening. Liz shouldn’t ever have been PM she was never cut out for it. It should have been Rishi.

MarshaBradyo · 20/10/2022 18:51

I guess we’ll see re 100 MPs I honestly don’t know.

Although he’s gone a good job at diverting from Starmer talking about a GE just by taking up airtime

Not being sarcastic here, but genuinely, what do you like about him?

Leakygutter · 20/10/2022 18:52

How could he possibly build a cabinet? Everyone even half way qualified was either sacked by him or forced him out.

Anniefrenchfry · 20/10/2022 18:52

Leakygutter · 20/10/2022 18:49

They were forced to oust him because of the strength of public opinion against him. The only thing that's changed since then is they lumbered us with someone even more incompetent.

Not really. Just look at the daily mail, I was shocked. But they are baying for him to come back with thousands and thousands of upticks against the top comments asking for him back,,It’s crazy but that rag has millions reading it. And it’s an almighty cry for boris across all the articles.

NO NO NO

Boxofsockss :
Genuine question - why do you like Boris , please ?

I always wonder this too. Even if you discount the fact he has absolutely no integrity and is morally repugnant, over privileged etc etc - I mean the man has the charisma of a fish finger. Can't even string a sentence together. Genuinely - what's likeable about him?

Anniefrenchfry · 20/10/2022 18:53

A lot of the ones who voted him out expressed regret after doing it and when he went.

Yiayoula · 20/10/2022 18:53

Apologies - cross posted !

So you don't have a number then, you're just stating opinion as fact.

Leakygutter · 20/10/2022 18:52

Nadine Dorries.

That is one big enough stand-alone reason not to entertain his return.

Only if we want to make ourselves look even more of a laughing stock in the eyes of the rest of the planet than we already do.

It will.

I have written to my Tory MP to say that (& other things!) this very afternoon.

Me and my husband are reliably ok financially atm. We are disgusted by what boris did and what Liz has done. We cannot believe how good hard working people are having to go to food banks in the uk to survive. We have just said we will not stay in the UK if boris comes back. We will take our tech jobs elsewhere. Good luck to you all if this is the direction you want to go in.

Dorries' starry eyed fangirl obsession with him is just embarrassing at this point.

Sigh, sure you will emigrate,

Boris endorsed Truss precisely because he knew should would fuck things up, thereby opening a path for him to return as PM.

We should have a General Election.

Oh yes I've been saying this for ages too.
I also put that in my letter to my Tory MP (not the f word though)

No just No.

He was totally unfit for high office before and he still is.

Did anyone say why they did it?

My local MP gave a really weird reason but I would imagine he was bought off with a promise of a higher role.

Happylady165 · 20/10/2022 19:00

Yes essentially. We want to live in a country when the working class are supported. I’m guessing you don’t want this, but your prerogative.

WhoDatDen · 20/10/2022 19:00

The silent majority bloody love Boris.
