Four mummy, this paragraph

"On the subject of sexual violence - there's nothing 'mythical' about it. Men do it because they can. The reason why they can is because they are socialised to be stronger and more violent than women. Women are socialised to accept this, and it, as normal"

Who suggested it was mythical? And what could be more normalising of sexual violence than electing to president a man who publicly calls women pigs and boasts about "grabbing their pussies"?

Whatever anyone thinks of Trump, you've gotta give him credit for the jail line

Absolutely, totally fantastic. I've just watched it again.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 12/10/2016 08:45

merry

Hence my "fucking scary" comment

He sat behind a big desk yelling alot, paying much too much attention to what his children thought, made bizarre decisions and was really quite odd in his attitude to the women and anyone who wasnt a WASP

If he thought that was making him look good Shock

(Although whoever made the losing team sleep in tents on the front lawn was a genius)

merrymouse · 12/10/2016 08:56

I found the jail line creepy and threatening.

Kaija · 12/10/2016 09:06

I missed the jail line. Was it as creepy as this?

In Hollywood and the fashon world, there are worse grotesques than Trump. I've been up close but not personal with rich bastards in my career, and I'm afraid they do think young women might oblige. Lovely looking women deliberately hang around where rich men gather. It's a different world than our 9 to 5 one.

That doesnt mean that Trump does not care for his country and wants to chase away the duplicitous, engorged and useless congressmen. And being a businessman he may well cut thru all the crap far more effectively and go straight to a solution.

If you know your 20th century history you will know that the SS at the various death camps would go into raptures listening to classical music played by some prisoners. That suggests a kind and refined nature does it not, but their refinement went only as far as music and art. Turn my example around .... could it be that what is required in a president Trump has?

Could it be that just a part of Trump is deplorable just as the Kennedy brothers were? I'm saying that having a refined streak does not make you a good & honest person. But then having a deeply unpleasant streak should not obliterate the positive parts of any person.

Thanks, Winchester, I read the Greenwald article about how the Democrats are trying to suggest that Wikileaks, Putin and Trump all work together. Greenwald was right about that but he is wrong when he says that Trump is definitely going to lose the election.

I watched Trump's huge rally in Panama City, Florida last night. Wow. The "shackles are off". The crowd went nuts. Hillary doesn't get crowds like that.

'I found the jail line creepy and threatening.'

I don't think Trump is kidding. To get just a small flavour of what Trump is going to do to the high level crooks in the Establishment, you just have to listen to his rally in Panama City.

Here is a small excerpt

Trump says that "Hillary is the vessel of a corrupt global establishment that is raiding our country and surrendering the sovereignty of our nation". He said that they want "open borders" and that will be the end of the United States. He said the media are the Establishment, they are all one and the same.

Trump said that if Hillary wins, the corruption will be like never before and it will be about favours to "friends of Bill". He said it will be the "end of our country".

It is Trump versus the "corrupt global establishment" trying to take over America was Trump's message.

Everyone is Against Trump, the entire media and the polls seem to be against him, but we will have to wait and see what happens on Nov 8. I think he can still win it just going by the huge crowds he gets and I wonder whether some of these polls are rigged.

He can't speak in coherent sentences.

He is sexist.

He is a misogynist.

He is a racist.

He has an uncontrolled temper.

Any woman that condones this behaviour or votes for Trump, or encourages people to vote for Trump is not one I want to know.

Witterings about how Hillary is as bad as Trump are almost entirely unfounded (see link to politifact below) and have been disproved countless times. However anyone who backs Trump is unlikely to be swayed by the truth.

"Hillary is the vessel of a corrupt global establishment that is raiding our country and surrendering the sovereignty of our nation".

That's what got my attention. The only USA politician that I know of who is talking about the global elite, opening borders, the islamification of the USA, etc. He's pinpointed the danger, just as Orban of Hungary has. It's a longterm global plan and if it not cut off at the pass now, USA will use sovereignty.

merrymouse · 12/10/2016 09:34

And being a businessman he may well cut thru all the crap far more effectively and go straight to a solution.

"As a businessman?"

As a businessman he has borrowed and lost millions of dollars of other people's money.

He is certainly a very successful reality TV show star and he has developed a brand that some people find appealing. The same could be said for Kim Kardashian. She is not running for president. (Although the way things are going it's only a matter of time - it's certainly possible that she'll be better educated than Trump by the time she is seventy).

Kaija · 12/10/2016 09:39

"Could it be that just a part of Trump is deplorable"

Nope. He's shown himself to be pretty comprehensively disgusting and totally unfit for office.

Kaija · 12/10/2016 09:41

Islamification of the USA?

Ok.

Lweji · 12/10/2016 09:42

Could it be that just a part of Trump is deplorable just as the Kennedy brothers were?

And, yet, paraphrasing a former VP candidate in relation to Dan Quayle, Trump is no Kennedy.

He simply has no redeeming qualities.

Kaija · 12/10/2016 09:43

"Everyone is against Trump"

That is encouraging at least.

Lweji · 12/10/2016 09:44

Whatever anyone thinks of Trump, you've gotta give him credit for the jail line

I do give him full credit. Not in a good way, though.

Kaija · 12/10/2016 09:54

Are we talking about trump threatening to put Clinton in jail if he wins? People on here thought that was a good line??

Lweji · 12/10/2016 09:59

People on here thought that was a good line?

It was. If you want to be seen as a bully with no regard for the law.

Kaija · 12/10/2016 10:03

Yes, true enough.

claig · 12/10/2016 10:04

The "corrupt global establishment" and all their numerous "vessels" tuned into the Trump rally in Panama City, Florida last night to learn what is coming for them when Trump wins. To say they were biting their nails is an understatement, they were chewing chunks out of them. Some were praying for forgiveness, some were on their knees, and some were downing shots of whsikey as if it was water to escape the reality of what is coming down for them.

The people queued for hours to watch the historic rally where Trump took the "shackles off" and gave "the corrupt global establishment" what for.

And the Republican warmup speakers were magnificent too, local state officials etc, incredible. One summed it up and got a huge roar of approval from the crowd when he explained that finally someone had stood up and it was Trump and he had said "Hell No!"

We are watching history in the making, the whole "corrupt global establishment" is shaking, it is the end of their cheating, lying and taking.

"Thousands attend Donald Trump rally in Panama City Beach
...
Supporters waited outside the Aaron Bessant Park for hours before being let in the gates for the evening event.
...
"The election of Hillary Clinton would lead to to the destruction of our country," Trump said.
...
Trump promised if he wins, he is going to ask his Attorney General to hire a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton.

Trump also told the crowd that he would protect Medicare and Social Security, while getting rid of The Affordable Care Act.

"It's a giant mess, a giant catastrophe that will ruin American healthcare," Trump said."

Hmmm. When event the US government has said that Obamacare is actually costing less than predicted.

It will ruin (hopefully) the vultures that run the insurance companies in the US declining care where it is needed.

Kaija · 12/10/2016 10:12

Lovely bit of puff, Claig.

You should do this for a living.

ZuleikaDobson · 12/10/2016 10:13

The crowd went nuts. Hillary doesn't get crowds like that.

That's because her supporters aren't nuts.

claig · 12/10/2016 10:16

'When event the US government has said that Obamacare is actually costing less than predicted.'

Premiums are going through the roof 68%, 71%
Obama said you can keep you doctor, you can keep your existing plan and Trump says that was a lie.
Trump said that they are waiting until after the election to announce even larger increases in premiums.

"ObamaCare architect: 'Stupidity' of voters helped bill pass"

thehill.com/policy/healthcare/223578-obamacare-architect-lack-of-transparency-helped-law-pass

The "corrupt global establishment" laughed but they won't be laughing when Trump wins.

Lovely looking women deliberately hang around where rich men gather. It's a different world than our 9 to 5 one.

What is the relevance of this? Trump doesn't come from Hollywood or the fashion world, and the "worse grotesques" aren't standing for office.

That doesnt mean that Trump does not care for his country and wants to chase away the duplicitous, engorged and useless congressmen. And being a businessman he may well cut thru all the crap far more effectively and go straight to a solution.

Lots of people care for their country and want to get rid of duplicitous politicians. It doesn't automatically mean that they are fit for office, particularly when they demonstrate over and over again that they view around 70% of the population as objects whose only function is to serve white men.

How can you have faith in the powers of a businessman who has had three businesses go bankrupt and lost billions of pounds?

ZuleikaDobson · 12/10/2016 10:20

To say they were biting their nails is an understatement, they were chewing chunks out of them. Some were praying for forgiveness, some were on their knees, and some were downing shots of whsikey as if it was water to escape the reality of what is coming down for them.

Not even you believe this to be true, Claig. Why waste so much time posting this fiction?
