You sound a bit flat

Out2pasture · 10/10/2016 03:25

the first few minutes were nauseating, and at any moment the debate is at risk of going back to tabloid worthy scandalous trash talk.
I wish they would discuss policy not the personal attacks.

WinchesterWoman · 10/10/2016 03:29

I can't see video only stills
Did hc Botox? She looks weird

WinchesterWoman · 10/10/2016 03:30

I agree policy has been lacking the whole campaign

claig · 10/10/2016 03:33

'You sound a bit flat'

No, it's not a gamechanger, a bit of a let down, but I still think Trump will beat the Establishment because the more they throw at him, the more the people will realise their game, exactly like Brexit where we beat them.

In my opinion, Trump won, but not enough to change anything. It as as it was before except he has survived the leaked tape, but there will be more leaked tapes and other stuff to come that he will have to cope with.

OP posts:
claig · 10/10/2016 03:40

Fox is saying that he landed real punches and put the tape behind him. They said it was his best debate. It was better than his last debate.

OP posts:
WinchesterWoman · 10/10/2016 03:41

Yeah sounds like this debate has done one job for trump and that is, render the final debate very much a 'must miss' event.
Unless something else comes up like the tape .

Will they do it - or will they watch the polls

NightWanderer · 10/10/2016 03:43

It was pretty even, but I'm interested to see what else comes out in the media over the next few weeks.

claig · 10/10/2016 03:44

Yes, 'must miss' is about right. The competition rolls on, same old same old. He survived the tape, scored points, but they will hit him with more stuff and he will be on the defensive until the end, so it is still close and no change.

'I'm interested to see what else comes out in the media over the next few weeks.'

Conspiracy theorist Alex jones has said the claim that he raped a 13 year old girl at one of Epstein's parties is about to get more coverage as the case has been filed in New York. It won't be concluded over the next 30 days but will get coverage which will harm Trump. Also 'The Apprentice' has tapes that they say are even worse than what we have already heard and some of it may contain racist language as well. So Trump will have a very tough time of it.

'Will they do it - or will they watch the polls'

They will hit Trump with everything they have because if the Establishment lose to Trump, they are finished. He said he will prosecute Hillary and he said if he was in charge of the law, she "would be in jail". They all understand what Trump is going to do to them.

He has been too nice to them and they won't reciprocate that.

OP posts:
WinchesterWoman · 10/10/2016 04:00

Racism will bring him down. People don't care that much about women. Half the commentators are playing up the outrage. But racism - surely a death blow.

claig · 10/10/2016 04:04

Yes, I think you are right.

OP posts:
claig · 10/10/2016 04:06

They are timing their leaks. This one was sat on for over a year and timed just before the second debate at the same time as the Wikileaks leak in order to deflect that one. They will save their biggest leaks till the end, so there is bound to be more to come.

OP posts:
claig · 10/10/2016 04:10

Fox Frank Luntz poll of undecides has Trump winning by a large margin.

The public know all the scandals about the Clintons because they are all over the internet, so Trump probably doesn't need to spell them out and maybe him winning this debate is enough.

OP posts:
claig · 10/10/2016 04:13

Roger Stone has said "30 days are a long time in politics and there are going to be some more bombshells about the Clintons", so it looks like the Establishment will be busy trying to fend off Trump and defend the Clintons as well as attacking him.

Time to get some sleep to get a clear head for some more incisive post-debate analysis tomorrow Wink

Thanks fir the updates

AppleMagic · 10/10/2016 04:33

I think they both played to their base but not much more. Im surprised you're flat claig because I think he did better in this debate than the last one. I think he might have provided some good soundbites for Hillary to use on her adverts - the jail thing, the tax thing, the Pence disagreement and the "non-apology". But he also landed some blows and reinforced the idea that she is a liar and part of the Washington elite.

Fox calling it for Trump, CNN for Hillary, nothing to see here folks.

WinchesterWoman · 10/10/2016 04:34

More hypocrisy in the Guardian this morning - 'trump goes low by parading women accusing Bill Clinton'

So not so much outrage at misogyny and assault there - and ignoring the fact they accuse hillary of being his enabler

Threesoundslikealot · 10/10/2016 04:41

Claig, do you understand the implications of threatening to imprison your political opponents? Genuine shivers down an awful lot of spines at that comment, from lots of people a long way from the establishment.

WinchesterWoman · 10/10/2016 05:43

How very specious. He doesn't want to prosecute her because she's his political opponent, which you seem to imply. He wants to prosecute her because he believes she has committed crimes against the laws of what was her own administration.

fourmummy · 10/10/2016 07:04

Good morning. Fell asleep and looks like I missed a cracking debate. Wonder if his odds have gone up Wink
