i currently work in the nhs and am about to go into policing within the next month. 2 areas that are about to get axed massively.

I voted Tory, and yes, I am very happy with what I have gotten.

I would have preferred more Euroscepticism - the coalition seems to be quite weak when it comes to handing powers over to Brussels. Other than that, though, things seem to be going very well.

As a liberal Conservative, the extra infusion of liberalism into the Tory manifesto has been quite welcome. I generally like the Lib Dem additions, especially raising the lower income tax threshold.

teamcullen I wasn't a big fan of the inheritance tax cuts anyway. As I said above, I am disappointed that the Euroscepticism has been diluted by the Lib Dems. Now that I think about it, I am also annoyed that the Human Rights Act won't be re-examined.

I guess some Tories will be upset at the new liberal prison policy, but I am happy with it.

I do hope Vince Cable's crazy plans for a graduate tax won't come in - a loan is much more practical, has the incentives much better aligned, and is actually fairer. You don't start paying back the loan till you earn quite a reasonable salary.

But on the biggest issue of all, the economy - the market interest rates speak for themselves. They are down about 0.5% from the election because Britain is finally getting to grips with its debt. That 0.5% cut will save businesses and mortgage owners billions and billions of pounds, and will save the government billions in debt interest.

I'm not happy about what the tories/libs are doing at the moment, I'm worried about the future and about how quickly they will undo all that labour achieved.

I voted Lib Dem as I usually do and I'm not happy. Whilst I think getting to grips with the deficit is absolutely the right thing to so, I could have sworn I heard Dave say they would be safeguarding front line services such as education and the NHS. Then the next thing I see is about getting rid of TA jobs and goodness knows what else and they've only just started, I dread to think where it will all end up. Never again.

I voted Tory and I am happy. The coalition has been far better than we could have expected on civil liberties, they are undoing what the socialists did, they are repealing hundreds of their laws, regulations and dictats. The cuts would have been bad whoever came into power, because the socialists left the country with their parting shot, the note saying 'Dear chief secretary, I'm afraid to tell you there's no money left'. All you have to do is see the Labour opportunists on TV, to see them use any argument such as the Tories are too soft on crime, to see them desperately changing their names, calling themselves progressives, "aspirational socialists", or "Next Labour" to realise that fortune has favoured us. They won't be able to destroy any more of the country's liberties.

Happy for what I voted? Yes definately.

In the space of two months I have gone from feeling happy, secure and looking to a bright future for myself and and my children and my family to one that is and feels bleak.

I am now feeling utterly put down in my job as a teacher and devalued. I am worried about schools and how they will manage with cuts, new schools, a lack of TA's, resourses etc yet more pressure on exams and testing. I worry about the children who are less able in school. I am worried about my childrens education and how they will get through it and what will be there at the end of it. I worry about what health services will be like as they grow older and as my parents get older. I worry that my mum will not be able to keep her house warm enough in the winter. I worry what my life will look like when I am retired. I worry there won't be enough police to keep us safe. Basically I worry that I am not one of those who can afford to pay for services so my kids will inevitably loose out.

I just do not feel like the government care, I do not feel valued as a citizen, I do not feel like they are there to support their people. I do not think they have any idea how normal live and how hard we all try and contibute.

Yes. I did not vote tory and would absolutely vote the same way again.

I am incredibly glad that I did not vote Liberal Democrat, as I thought about. Not that it would made a difference locally (we are a Tory area, mores the pity) but I feel proud inside that I didn't contribute to the bollocks of the moment.

I voted LibDem to try and keep the Tories out and I regret it. Will stick to Labour from now on.

I voted LibDem, so no, I'm not happy. We now have a Tory MP after 9 years of Labour. I wish I'd voted Labour.

From talking to my friends I would say those of us who voted Labour or Conservative are generally happy with how we voted. In the area I live in a lot of people voted LibDem to try to keep the Tories out and they feel betrayed and who not vote that way again.

Oh and I am pissed off with people in my constituency who voted LibDem as we lost a very good, local issue Labour MP and gained the biggest fuckwit of all Tories who doesn't believe in local issues and is so priviledged that he genuinely doesn't understand how the cuts affect the poor.

Labour needed to go. They had been there too long, they were spending too much and they were making promises that they country could not afford.

We have harsh times ahead, this is true.

The country cannot spend money it does not have.

Cuts have to be made. What is the other option? Continue spending money and getting deeper and deeper into debt?

Everyone, naturally, feels that savings must be made - just not their job, just not affecting their life. Sadly that's not going to happen. We are all going to feel it.

If anyone has a realistic alternative to cuts and savings in order to save britain from going bust, please, speak up! I'm sure the country would love to hear it!

I voted Labour, so yes, I am happy that I stayed true to my socialist principles and wasn't swayed by the smiling knives now in power.
I am not happy with the whingers that voted Conservative/Liberal and are now complaining about the new coalition and their policies. It's your bloody fault!

I am not British so was not allowed to vote. Would have voted Labour though.

I feel like crying every time I hear about new cuts, especially the ones in education. I will never understand anyone who think they can "save" a country by sacrificing the next generation.

I also voted LibDem to try and oust the Conservative MP as Labour have no chance here. I definitely regret it and feel shameful that my vote would appear to endorse the Con/Lib coalition. I would never vote LibDem again. From now on I will be sticking my my actual beliefs and not trying to vote tactically.

Can't believe how much debt we're in and there are people moaning about free swimming being cut!

My ds2's subsidized school bus has been cut. It's a pita, but I can see the reasons why they've done it.
