are you happy with how you voted?

i currently work in the nhs and am about to go into policing within the next month. 2 areas that are about to get axed massively.

are you happy with how you voted? i am the only one in my household and in my workplace who feels i was true to my beliefs and is still happy with how i voted.

are you still happy or do you think your were duped?

i voted labour and i would again.

Giddy - I'm not sure if the old voting Tory shame is as strong these days (or at least it wasn't pre-election).

I think the reason we see so few Conservative voters on threads like these is that Conservative voters are, by and large, less interested in politics.

claig · 22/07/2010 12:37

I think Conservative voters are very interested in politics, which is why they turned out in large numbers to vote the socialists out. They wanted change and an end to the damage that the socialists were inflicting on the country. The socialists were kicked out of all but two seats in the entire East of England. East of England working class and middle class voters turned out in droves to end the socialists' reign.

Voted LibDem. Regret it deeply. Would vote Labour if there were to be an election tomorrow. (I was a member of the LibDems for years and have returned my membership card in shame and disgust.)

I suppose if things go as predicted, there will be a lotof anger towards the Fib-Dems in six months time.

Nick Cleagg has worked for the Tories before. And the Liberal activists are very anti-Tory.

Power is keeping the plaster on the wounds at the moment. But Vince Cables body language speaks volumes.

anastaisia · 02/08/2010 11:56

Lots of liberal activists are very anti Labour though Gabby - some of us are much happier that the Lib Dems went with the party they have civil liberties in common with rather than left leaning economic policies in common with.

vesela · 05/08/2010 08:16

Liberal activists voted for the coalition agreement at the conference in Birmingham by about 96%, or something like that.

ThatVikRinA22 · 04/10/2010 23:12

so in light of todays announcment to cut ChB....still happy folks?

Very. Labour party member, voter and constituent here. Just frustrated at myself that I didn't do more to help the national campaign.

Siasl · 05/10/2010 00:26

Not at all happy. My DH and I voted Tory and they are completely screwing it up!

The changes they are making are far too soft and way too slow. The problem is Cameron is far too centrist and the Coaltion can't make hard choices. I hoped for a less statist government to reverse the Labour years. I expected the axe to swing far more rapidly over the public sector, with an end to final salary pensions etc etc. I wanted benefits slashed (£500/week max ... I want £200/week max).

At this slow pace the economy is going to be still stuffed at the next election. Labour will get in ... currency will collapse ... IMF will have to bail UK out etc etc.

lucky1979 · 05/10/2010 09:39

Yep. Voted Tory, still happy with it.

Sorry, probably not what you were angling for.
