Looking back over the thread it is amazing how much has happened in just over a month:

First of all giving thanks for imminent and not so imminent 'beans'
Bobsmum - 36 weeks is it? Struggling with elephant feelings
Podglet on maternity leave now; CS booked for 15th April
Myjobismum - giving thanks for normal scan 14 weeks now and feeling more positive.
CaptainCaveman - give thanks for willyflashing bean. So sad about the lady seen in clinic with a 20 week pregnancy that is no longer viable, Lord have mercy.

Just flagging up some urgent prayer needs

FAQ (Queenofquotes) - marriage has broken up, struggling with life on her own with three dss. Situation not improved by the fact that her lovely vicar had a comprehensive breakdown and is in hospital. Praying for things to keep improving and giving thanks for friends around her.
Podmog Struggling with many issues - Lord bring peace and calm in all situations and relationships.
Praying also for Notsofarnow who is back at work but not finding life that easy.

CaptainDippy and ZipadiSuzy both struggling with rather parallel issues:- unfamiliar work and not a lot of money. Praying for perseverance and rest.
Swaliswan too is getting used to a new job which thankfully she enjoys more than she expected too. Struggling with dh being away a lot and mil threatening a visit straight after dh comes back.

MaryBS who has had such a lot of work to do and who is going for more clarity on a diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome. Praying also for her friend K who will have an operation for cancer on Wednesday.
Also praying for Amber32002 who bravely went to church a few weeks back and who is talking about disability issues with people in the Church at high level.

Praying for Roseylea for clarity of thought on a 'thing that has cropped up'.

Giving thanks with Worzella and Notquitegrownup for enjoyable far away holidays

Praying for Panda's mum with chest infection.

Praying for OJ and Steve, Steve should be home by now but apparently there is some problem with transport. Lord, how we need you in this very hard situation, joy tinged with sadness.

And for all not mentioned NorthernLurker, Mufti, PenpotEca (how are things now sweetheart?) and anybody else - lets get praying.

Myjob has far more grown-up lyrics on her mind than me

Ah well boing

amber32002 · 18/04/2008 14:55

Oh my, that's had me laughing with those lyrics based on the original Tigger song. Much better than most of the modern hymns.

So glad your moles have been medically well behaved, Mary - thank goodness.

Prayers aplenty for everyone, and can I please ask for prayers for my SD's mum who is gravely ill - for rest and peace in her last days?

DutchOma · 18/04/2008 15:09

Praise God the moles are clear Mary, hopefully they will now go underground to do their moley business.
Praying for your SD's mother and for all who are not in boingy mood.
Knitting of the Oxfam blanket is being organised here in Northampton, are any of you involved elsewhere?

Swaliswan · 18/04/2008 15:32

Oh, Amber, praying for your family, your SD and her mum. Lord, please show them your peace and your mercy. Please wrap them all up in your loving arms and hold them close.

MaryBS · 18/04/2008 17:34

Amber - they were my lyrics, and yes the tune is "the wonderful thing about Tiggers". I like writing different words to familiar tunes! Not bad for "off the cuff"!

Some other good lyrics here too! Must dash, praying for all those who have requested prayer. DD is at choir practice at 6, and she hasn't had dinner yet. I'm going to a church beetle drive at 7:30!

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2008 17:39

Lord remain close to amber's SD and fmaily at this difficult time. Being the end quickly and peacefully Lord. xx

amber32002 · 18/04/2008 22:34

Oh dear, it's all been a bit of a day here...house sale chain is now "on hold" because the person at the bottom of the chain no longer wants that house. Friend's dog we've known for 10 years has died too. And I've only got until Monday to get ready for this meeting with the Bishop. Oh my...

I've also always wanted to know what a beetle drive is. Do they drive beetles?

MaryBS · 18/04/2008 23:06

Aw Amber!!!! I pray it can all get sorted!

A beatle drive is where you roll a dice and depending on the roll, you draw a part of a beetle
6 = body
5 = head
4 = tail
3 = eyes
2 = antennae
1 = legs

You have to get a body first, and you can't draw eyes/antennae until you've got a head. Once you've drawn a complete beatle (1 head, 1 body, 2 eyes, 2 antennae, 6 legs, 1 tail), you shout beatle! First to shout beatle wins that round. You then tally up your score for each round for a set number of rounds. Highest score is the winner.
I got the prize for the most imaginatively drawn beatle . We had to draw a big fat beatle, so I drew mine with a dog collar and a cassock with 39 buttons

Praying for your SD and her mum/family.

MaryBS · 18/04/2008 23:07

or even beetle... sorry, I'm a little tired

notsofarnow · 19/04/2008 07:22

Morning all. right going to have a busy day i've decided - grass needs cutting, the rest of the leaves need picking up, need to buy bark for under trampoline, put trampoline up its only 12 ft so shouldnt take long haha.

Hope you similarly productive days. Will report back and let you know how far i got. Bet I dont achieve it all but we'll see.

DutchOma · 19/04/2008 09:08

I've always wanted to know what a beetle drive was. When I was still in the WI our president always had beetle cards in her bag just in case, but I don't think they ever came out.
Amber, praying that your house chain soon unlocks itself.
And remember...bishops are people too, when I feel a little intimidated I try to think of them in their pyamas

DutchOma · 19/04/2008 09:09

Best of luck with all your jobs NSFN. Leave the trampoline till last, maybe the dcs will put it up for you.
