Looking back over the thread it is amazing how much has happened in just over a month:

First of all giving thanks for imminent and not so imminent 'beans'
Bobsmum - 36 weeks is it? Struggling with elephant feelings
Podglet on maternity leave now; CS booked for 15th April
Myjobismum - giving thanks for normal scan 14 weeks now and feeling more positive.
CaptainCaveman - give thanks for willyflashing bean. So sad about the lady seen in clinic with a 20 week pregnancy that is no longer viable, Lord have mercy.

Just flagging up some urgent prayer needs

FAQ (Queenofquotes) - marriage has broken up, struggling with life on her own with three dss. Situation not improved by the fact that her lovely vicar had a comprehensive breakdown and is in hospital. Praying for things to keep improving and giving thanks for friends around her.
Podmog Struggling with many issues - Lord bring peace and calm in all situations and relationships.
Praying also for Notsofarnow who is back at work but not finding life that easy.

CaptainDippy and ZipadiSuzy both struggling with rather parallel issues:- unfamiliar work and not a lot of money. Praying for perseverance and rest.
Swaliswan too is getting used to a new job which thankfully she enjoys more than she expected too. Struggling with dh being away a lot and mil threatening a visit straight after dh comes back.

MaryBS who has had such a lot of work to do and who is going for more clarity on a diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome. Praying also for her friend K who will have an operation for cancer on Wednesday.
Also praying for Amber32002 who bravely went to church a few weeks back and who is talking about disability issues with people in the Church at high level.

Praying for Roseylea for clarity of thought on a 'thing that has cropped up'.

Giving thanks with Worzella and Notquitegrownup for enjoyable far away holidays

Praying for Panda's mum with chest infection.

Praying for OJ and Steve, Steve should be home by now but apparently there is some problem with transport. Lord, how we need you in this very hard situation, joy tinged with sadness.

And for all not mentioned NorthernLurker, Mufti, PenpotEca (how are things now sweetheart?) and anybody else - lets get praying.

Just enclosure for trampoline now which i'll have to do tomorrow as youngest dc want to go on it.

PandaG · 19/04/2008 18:06

well done on delivering the pie Mary! Hope you enjoy the day trip.

Amber, praying for your house chain, how frustrating...also praying that you have peace about your meeting on Monday.

CD - how are you eyes atm?

FAQ - have you been to the walk in clinic?

praying for all who are in pain, or have bits that don't work well right now.

I have just had a fabulous afternoon - found a colleague and friend from over 12 years ago on FB on Thursday, and she was delighted that I got in touch and came round this afternoon. Apart from the catching up type conversation it was as if I had seen her a couple of months not 10 years ago! So lovely DH is away overnight on a men's camping trip, DS is away with church at an activity centre for the weekend, and DD is at a sleepover. I'm having a takeaway with some of the other camping trip widows and then a lie - in tomorrow!

CaptainDippy · 19/04/2008 18:22

Sounds great Panda

Well Done on pie Mary, praying for your hearing, poor thing. xx My eyes are a bit better atm.....

Did you go to walk-in clinic, FAQ, poor thing. thoguh old time atm, God will pull you through.

I love Beetle Drives We used to play them a lot when I was in the Rangers and the Venture Scouts!

Brain emptied of everything else ....

FAQ · 19/04/2008 18:40

Had a good day (so far) actually.

I met up with ShelleyLou in town this morning and we went and looked at carpets then did some general bits of shopping. Came back here and our DS's wrecked my living room (not really too hard as it was already a mess ), we smoked far too many cigarettes and drank too much coffee, but I had a lovely afternoon. Was nice just to have some company, the day has really flown by.

I picked up some Anadol Extra in Wilkinsons this morning, had 2 straight away, and it REALLY helped. Hardly noticed my neck/shoulder all afternoon. Started hurting again about 1hr ago so I had 2 more, and I'll have 2 before bed around midnight.

So combination of prayer and modern medicine seems to be sorting that problem.

Tried to text my dad to cancel tomorrow but he replied to say he'd already made arrangements and would be here at 2pm for a couple of hours . Guess I'll just have to put up with him........told the DS's they can have the PS2 on so hopefully they'll bore him rigid telling him about their games....

Starting to feel rather apprehensive about my appointment with the Community Mental Health Team on Monday, I know there's stuff I'm probably going to end up talking about that I'd rather just keep at the back of my mind....and "forget" about..

PandaG · 19/04/2008 18:43

glad to hear it FAQ

notsofarnow · 19/04/2008 18:50

Faq glad you've had a good day it really helps when people want to spend time with us doesn't it. Praying you have another good day tomorrow. Are you going to church or can you not face it atm?

FAQ · 19/04/2008 18:52

yes I'm going to church, told my friend (who's also the church warden) that I would play for the service in the morning, but didn't feel up to the evening one...........wish I'd said I'd play for it now as it would have been an excuse to get out of the house away from my dad for a while.

Definitely helps when people want to spend time with me, especially when they have a sprightly 17 month old DS who doesn't give you a chance to feel down lol.

notsofarnow · 19/04/2008 19:04

The beauty of dc I think had itnot been for my youngest two over last 3 years then i would have had nothing to keep going for. I know that sounds selfish but if you've really little ones you just have to keep going.

Swaliswan · 20/04/2008 09:33

Ladies, sorry to fly by but I have loads to do and MIL has invited herself to stay for longer than anticipated today after staying until almost midnight last night. I've had 5 hours sleep and have no chance of getting a nap as I have too much to do that I thought I had plenty of time for before MIL extended her visit. Please, please pray for patience in buckloads today. MIL is going through a very hard time and I need to remember that she needs to be shown love. But, she makes my hackles rise almost on sight. She sets off my mummy radar every time she is near DD because she quite literally snatches DD and refuses to give her back. This is not going to go down well anymore. DD is more than able to squirm her way out of a 'stranger's' grasp and will scream if necessary. She screamed when my nan came near to her yesterday and hid herself in my coat yet she has seen my nan only two weeks ago. She hasn't seen MIL since Christmas. MIL is going to be so upset if DD does the same to her and DD will get upset if MIL does not understand her shy phase.

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

DutchOma · 20/04/2008 09:55

That is a very hard place to be SS. I am praying patience for you. Remember patience is a fruit of the spirit, you can grow it yourself.
And from the sound of it you'll get plenty of practice.
Is dh enjoying her visit? Can he take her out somewhere this afternoon and give you a bit of peace? Is she coming to church with you?
{{{hugs}}}

NSFN - Wow, can we employ you, we could do with some help!!!!! dh run ragged, whilst I'm left at home holding the baby (as such) getting cabin fever!!!

FAQ - Glad you have had a lift in spirit, prayers of thanks for our friends, mine is taking me out this afternoon,(just me, no twins in tow) well needed!

SS - Prayers for a peaceful time with your MIL I havent got one any more and as much as she annoyed me (lived across the road) I really miss her when it comes to sharing the childrens love!

Prayers of thanks for all our friends and MIL and for peaceful resolutions to our communication/understanding problems.

20 minutes to go, then I'm free!!!!!! (for 1hour anyway) mustn't be selfish.

I pray that when I get back, I'll be fresh and ready to take on the demands of the rugrats AGAIN!

CC/CD How are 'U'

sooz
xxxxxxx

amber32002 · 20/04/2008 12:37

Gosh, things are not improving...a dear friend who has done so much to help me in the last year is now in hospital and not expected to come out - heart condition and cancer , and yesterday we found out some person has cloned our credit card and run up a huge debt. I'm struggling to cope with all of this and would really appreciate a prayer or two.

Shall be praying again for everyone here, and apologies for not being very cheerful/supportive right at the moment...

CaptainDippy · 20/04/2008 12:51

Oh amber Praying. xxxxx Please keep us updated as and when you can. xx

Glad you had a good time with ShelleyLou FAQ and that the prayer and medicine are working on your aches and pains Continuing to think of you and pray fory o uand your precious boys through this tough times. xx

Praying for patience and for the visit to go well SS. xx

All ok enough here, still feeling weirdy ......

notsofarnow · 20/04/2008 14:19

Amber you wont be responsible for that debt will you? Dont the banks cover it if its fraud.

ss praying for patience my mil used to drive me nuts too and now she's not with us anymore either The lo's will probably never remember her.

faq how was church hun?

Zip was thinking I could have done with you dh yesterday. Just so glad I got it all done because today its raining.

DutchOma · 20/04/2008 15:09

Echo NSFN Amber, if it is fraud you shouldn't be resposible for that bill. Bob lost his card on, of all places, Lille station and we didn't even discover it was lost till the end of the holiday. Somebody had used it fraudulently but the bank paid it all back in, even though we didn't notify them till a fortnight later when we discovered he had lost it. We simply hadn't needed it until then.
It will be a hassle though.
I'm sorry about your friend.
The bishop will pale into insignificance, maybe?

Evening all,

Flying by to say hope all's well, thoughts and prayers for all and there are pics of DD on my profile

FAQ · 20/04/2008 18:38

church was hard, had 3 hymns - In Christ Alone, How Sweet the Name of Jesus Sounds, and Jesu Lover of my Soul that had me fighting back the tears /

My dad came to see me today, in short, what a complete an utter waste of time, a letter my mum had sent (which was all about her really......) confirmed my thoughts that they think my marriage break-up is my fault .

I would much rather have had a 2hr nap on the sofa while DS3 was asleep (DS1 was engrossed in his PS2, DS2 engrossed on the cbeebies website) than sit "talking" to him .

On a slightly brighter note H also rang today, he's moving to a rented place on his own next weekend so there'll be no more issues about how often/when he can have the DS's to stay..
