Looking back over the thread it is amazing how much has happened in just over a month:

First of all giving thanks for imminent and not so imminent 'beans'
Bobsmum - 36 weeks is it? Struggling with elephant feelings
Podglet on maternity leave now; CS booked for 15th April
Myjobismum - giving thanks for normal scan 14 weeks now and feeling more positive.
CaptainCaveman - give thanks for willyflashing bean. So sad about the lady seen in clinic with a 20 week pregnancy that is no longer viable, Lord have mercy.

Just flagging up some urgent prayer needs

FAQ (Queenofquotes) - marriage has broken up, struggling with life on her own with three dss. Situation not improved by the fact that her lovely vicar had a comprehensive breakdown and is in hospital. Praying for things to keep improving and giving thanks for friends around her.
Podmog Struggling with many issues - Lord bring peace and calm in all situations and relationships.
Praying also for Notsofarnow who is back at work but not finding life that easy.

CaptainDippy and ZipadiSuzy both struggling with rather parallel issues:- unfamiliar work and not a lot of money. Praying for perseverance and rest.
Swaliswan too is getting used to a new job which thankfully she enjoys more than she expected too. Struggling with dh being away a lot and mil threatening a visit straight after dh comes back.

MaryBS who has had such a lot of work to do and who is going for more clarity on a diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome. Praying also for her friend K who will have an operation for cancer on Wednesday.
Also praying for Amber32002 who bravely went to church a few weeks back and who is talking about disability issues with people in the Church at high level.

Praying for Roseylea for clarity of thought on a 'thing that has cropped up'.

Giving thanks with Worzella and Notquitegrownup for enjoyable far away holidays

Praying for Panda's mum with chest infection.

Praying for OJ and Steve, Steve should be home by now but apparently there is some problem with transport. Lord, how we need you in this very hard situation, joy tinged with sadness.

And for all not mentioned NorthernLurker, Mufti, PenpotEca (how are things now sweetheart?) and anybody else - lets get praying.

Adding my prayers for RubySlippers / Lulemama's dear family as they grieve, and for the funeral this afternoon CD.

Cuold y'all check this out please? (Hooray! I can link again!)

ZipadiSuzy · 25/04/2008 15:44

Lulu, Ruby & CD - Prayers for all entering heaven for a peaceful rest and happiness! God wrap the families up in your care in their hour of saddness.

Prayers the funerals go as well as they can!

ZipadiSuzy · 25/04/2008 15:57

Just a selfish prayer please, feeling a bit alone and out of my depth, I am happy enough, just can't keep up with children's demands, school issues, dh business, sleep deprivation and messy house!!!! Grrr, not enough hours in the day!

amber32002 · 25/04/2008 15:59

That's not a selfish prayer, ZS, that's a good one. Plenty of prayers for you...

MaryBS · 25/04/2008 16:11

Please pray for N. N, you MIGHT remember, had a flesh-eating bug last year, which meant her ear had to be closed off after it had been killed off finally, because it kept coming back. So she lost hearing in that ear. There is now a real fear she has the makings of the same thing in her other ear. She has been in hospital this week, but is home this weekend. Her two DDs are the same age as my two

Please also pray for C, who I work with. I don't know any more as yet, but she was found collapsed on the floor this morning by her dad. She's been off sick a few times lately, am unsure if this is connected. I think she's only 19.

Hi Sooz, I feel a bit out of my depth too. I'm also feeling a little sorry for myself - I've just been given a 1.75% payrise, so not even "cost of living". Ever feel unappreciated? I work really hard in a v. stressful job for little reward

bobsmum · 25/04/2008 17:13

Hi everyone.

Sorry my posts are so sporadic, but rest assured I'm reading and praying about the posts even if I don't really have anything to add.

Comfort and uplifting for all those who are mourning and feeling flat.

Due date today - no signs or niggles. I'm booked in for a sweep on Friday - if that doesn't work I'll have to have a section which I really, really, really don't want after a horrendous recovery with ds' section. Also with no public transport and 2 other children, I can't be stuck in the wilderness without being able to drive.

So prayers for a normal delivery which has to start within 10 days would be much appreciated

CaptainDippy · 25/04/2008 18:05

Another one "out of my depth" here too - praying for you both Mary and Sooz. xx

Prayers for poor N and for C - 19 is sooo young, hope it is nothing serious

CaptainDippy · 25/04/2008 18:06

Wasn't ignoring you bobsmum - Praying hard that bubba decides to come asap. xxxxxxx

ZipadiSuzy · 25/04/2008 18:27

CD - Perhaps we can go and cook for 5,000 at Marys (get us away from 'the norm') for a good few hours - we could have a sponsored cook/bake whilst singing hymms!

ZipadiSuzy · 25/04/2008 18:31

Mary - I have just checked my freezer, its so thick with ice, it would take 48 hours to melt!!!!

Prayers for a solution!!!!!!

CaptainDippy · 25/04/2008 21:17

Swaliswan · 26/04/2008 20:45

Hi Ladies,

Sorry that I haven't been on for a little while. I've read through your prayer requests and been praying whilst reading them. Please forgive me for not individually mentioning your requests, but I'm still not very well. I would appreciate any prayers that are going spare for a much longed for improvement in my health. It turns out that I now have flu (took a doctor to tell me though so I feel like a complete wally and the worst health care assistant!). I finally gave in and took a day off of work when my temperature hit 39.5. I'm improving slowly apart from the fact that I am covered in an intensely itchy rash. I'm going to take some piriton tonight and hope that I'm still able to look after DD without being too zonked from taking it. DH is away (praise the Lord that my mum is getting really good at this lending a hand role) and it seems that his trip may have been wasted. There is a lot hanging on his weekend away and I don't think that I'm going to feel very good if he's gone away whilst I feel so terrible for no real reason. There's a lot of problems with the equipment that he is waiting to use and if he doesn't get to use it then he could lose his trade. This could have huge implications for his TA career and to his army pay which is why we decided that he should go even though I don't feel 100% able to look after DD.

I'm sorry for whining on. I needed to get my worries written down. Please God, show Your mercy on us over these small matters and let me feel Your presence whilst I'm feeling poorly.

DutchOma · 26/04/2008 20:59

Amen to that Swaliswan. You know that no problem is ever too small for the Lord and this does not seem to be a small problem. Has Mil gone now?
Praying that you will get a good night's sleep and that the TA problem sorts itself out. God will watch over you and never leave you.

OP posts:
Swaliswan · 26/04/2008 21:04

Thank-you DO. I know that He is watching, I just feel rather alone right now and am tearful as AF is here on top of not feeling well. MIL has gone. She was much more respectful of DD wanting her own space/being clingy towards me than she has been before which is great.

I'm off to bed now as I'm feeling terrible and need to go back to sleep.

Hope you all have a fab Sunday.
