Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

Your finds sound lovely and just perfect trenzalor

Going to be honest blanktime i hadn't even spotted the egg cartoon until i knew to look for. A stunning picture there.

I have had a wander around a grave yard and a church today. A lot of churches have a very heavy and oppressive feel to their atmospheres imo. But this one felt light and joyful and drew you in to explore more. There were some interesting old world style images to be found. The grave yard is always an interesting tale on the local society. Plague graves, common family names, years of disease and famine. It was a very educational wandering.

But my favourite forested area has had to have a lot of work culling diseased trees that have got to the point of being dangerous with the amounts of people who enjoy the area. The ground looks scarred and barren, it is so sad to see it in place of the trees that are normal some of the earliest and more spectacular autumn colours. I know they will be replanting but it is sad to see.

The third cutting of hay was bailed in the fields. The weather is turning. The mornings are so much darker already, as are the evenings. And i am noticing that the patterns that are winter associated for me, early bedtime and rising, have already crept in and I am waking around 6am currently and ready to hibernate by 9pm. It will soon be time for woollies and central heating. It will be nice for the house to dry out a little, but also I will miss being able to have the windows open for hours at a time.

it has been a day for soothing my soul and feeding my mind. But now I wish you all restful nights and energy for tomorrow.

Ooh it's the witching hour and I am up having watched the tennis. What incredible young women on the global stage.

So pleased you were able to unburden yourself @VioletCharlotte sounds so beautiful and healing.

@TotoAnnihiliation For protection I use tiger's eye, lavender and I've read oregano is good too. I've read clear quartz is good for absorbing and reflecting energies but I LOVE the sparkly reflecting so much. I shall be adopting that.

Loving all your descriptions of this most wonderful time of the year sisters. May magic and inspiration weave itself through restful dreams for each of us.

queenrollo · 12/09/2021 07:54

I headed over to my nearest witchy shop yesterday to collect a piece of malachite. I also treated myself to a sun catcher - though it's overcast this morning but I think that will clear. Looking forward to playing with the right place to hang it for best effect.

Talking of protection, my wool arrived and and I have started on my scarf. It has a very subtle sparkle to it. Very lovely.

If anyone is looking for a witchy dress (for fancy or everyday!) I got a wonderful one from Next this week, it's got silvery spider webs all over it. I just used Halloween in the search bar...

Aerwyna · 12/09/2021 09:07

Morning sisters,

I’m loving the energy on the thread right now. So full of inspiration, insight, resonance and truly beautiful pictures. I’m feeling very blessed to have this oasis to share with like minded friends.

So good to read about other’s hopes for their children, what fills our hearts and connects us. Also the powerful releases and thoughts on inspiration and ideas, how everyone has been weaving magic in their days. I’m sorry not to have joined in more but have loved reading every post, often smiling and nodding in agree as I do.

Much cooler here today, the clouds are heavy and grey. I’ve been clearing out and reorganising these past few days. An ongoing process but I’m happy with where I’ve got to for now. Certainly shifted some stagnant energy which feels good. A slower paced day for me today ahead of work tomorrow, I want to be fresh and well rested.

I hope everyone finds just the kind of magic they need today

I don't like to see tree culling either. I understand the need for public safety, but I rarely hear of anyone coming to grief in non "managed" woods.
Ihave woods all around me, one or two are managed, my wolf wood is not, and the one that supports the most diverse habitats. Fallen trees provide a matrix of ground cover for small animals, substrate for fungus, toadstools and mushrooms, wood breaks down and fertilises the soil.

Good morning All, I hope you are all well and are having a lovely Sunday.

Just caught up on the thread and it's true magic to read about you all.

Just wanted to pop and say hello and check in

HillsBesideTheSea · 12/09/2021 09:50

Sorry I worded my post unclearly. It was not so much a people protection issue but a woodlands protection issue. There was severe disease issues which has created a massive biosecurity issue. There are biosecurity posters up everywhere in that forest warning people to not touch the trees, to wash their hands after leaving, recommending washing their footwear after walking in the area. Banning the removal of organic material.

The area management team didn't even have a choice as they were served with a statutory plant health notice, so there is a legal requirement for it. Hopefully it achieves its goal of preventing the spread of the disease to neighbouring woodlands.

suzyscat · 12/09/2021 15:13

I believe it was Toto wanted spiritual protections but how sad for your wood and how tricky to manage. Probably best not to bring protective herbs in and out of there. More overalls and hot washes.

If anyone is looking for a lovely read then I warmly recommend The Hidden Life of Trees. It's beyond beautiful.

Love the cobweb frock. I treated my self to this witchy number a little while ago and if we're a bit cheaper I'd be straight buying it in green too.I made an ivy mask yesterday as a practise for a green man costume.

Evening sisters.

It's my birthday today and I am here to share some of my birthday magic with you.

Slightly up thread, I asked for some advice on some protection. The universe sorted it for me, one of my friends bought me a tiny mirror for my birthday, nor much in itself... then later in the day I went out with DD and DH, we used the rucksack we use for our holiday and I found a hagstone I had collected and forgotten about. I plan to place them on my desk at work, most people will be oblivious but I believe that I have found my protection.

As I mentioned, we went out for the day, DH treated me to this chakra oil kit. Again a synchronicity between outside life and this thread. I feel truly blessed today. Sharing the magic with you all, now I'm off for a soak in the bath to set me up for a week at work.

Happy birthday Toto! Cake

Thank you for sharing your birthday magic with us, fabulous synchronicity and wonderful energy to take into the new week with you Halloween Smile

suzyscat · 12/09/2021 23:16

Happy birthday Toto. I love how often the universe provides what we need when we need it, if we can only be open to see it.

BlurpBlorp · 13/09/2021 08:50

Good morning sisters. I've been away from the thread for a while though only physically; I send my energy this way all the time.

The top of the working week and I hope you all have good plans for the week. I am working on a protection spell for my daughter which I hope to complete by tomorrow (I might incorporate some tiger's eye and lavender too thanks!). She is working through some friendship difficulties in recent years and I'm called to send some concentrated energy to her. Oh the temptation to wrap them in cotton wool... In recent weeks I have foraged twigs to make wands. The ones I found that had the tree had already yielded were poplar and hawthorn wood (so I will use the hawthorn wood for the protection spell).

I've really felt the wheel turning this past week and making plans for autumn already. I hope you are all well and send love and magic to you all. And glad you had a lovely birthday @TotoAnnihiliation what lovely things you did Smile

AnotherCrazyBirdLady · 13/09/2021 09:18

Happy belated Birthday @TotoAnnihiliation! I too, always find the universe sends us exactly what we need, exactly when we need it - a pure magic!

VioletCharlotte · 13/09/2021 19:55

Belated birthday wishes Toto! It sounds like you had a fabulous day. I love that your friend gave you a mirror, just perfect for deflecting that negative energy. And what a wonderful gift from your DH Smile

BlurpBlorp lovely to see you, I really enjoyed hearing about the friendship spell you're working on for your daughter. It's so difficult to see them struggle isn't it? Children can be very unkind. I did similar work with my DS1 when he was younger. I've felt the wheel turning too this week. Everything's still pretty green here, but I noticed today that the leaves on the trees in front of my house are just starting to turn. The hedgerows are abundant with ripe berries at the moment, I'm lucky enough to have blackberries, rose-hips and elderberries right on my doorstep, as well as a crab apple tree.

I've been busy this weekend digging out a new flower bed in my front garden, it was harder than I expected and I've been feeling quite exhausted today. Looking forward to going to bed!

TotoAnnihiliation · 13/09/2021 20:00

Thank you for all your birthday wishes! I love the sound of your protection spell @BlurpBlorp.

I making sure I get into bed nice and early tonight. Now the nights are drawing in, I feel the need to hibernate. I think I need to start wearing socks again, my feet are cold!

LumpySpacedPrincess · 13/09/2021 21:23

Just catching up with the thread and it's a joy to read Smile

Just settling down wih some tea this evening- amazed at how quickly darkness is descending at the moment.
It is lovely hearing of everone's magical exploits and the blessing on your birthday TotoAnnihiliation .
Hagsones, wands, flower beds, magical protection spells- this is all the stuff I want my world to be made of!!

Good morning. Really becoming autumnal here. I noticed yesterday that I was walking through leaves Grin ooo a part of me really comes alive in autumn. Hoping to take a nice walk through a forest this weekend.

My protection spell has been delayed as my youngest DD has been home unwell from school. Haven't felt I could focus as I need to. I hope to do it this evening as I have some time to myself.

Sending blessings and fresh air (literal and metaphorical) to you all today x

queenrollo · 15/09/2021 11:31

I've been looking out for Rowan berries to make garlands and the trees have all been very lacking. Then today I had to run an errand and it took me down a road I don't normally travel - and there were so many rowan trees!
I keep a pair of secateurs in the car so I hopped out, had a chat with the trees and found a 'friendly' one who was willing to give me some berries.
I've popped them to one side now I am home, but am looking forward to working with them. I've never done this before.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for boosting wellbeing, mental health as well as physical health.

I've had an awful cold since Sunday, chills, sore throat, feeling nauseous, aches and pains and extreme fatigue (like ZERO energy). Sleeping a lot.
It isn't the dreaded C, I took a test.
Hopefully it's just a cold and will go soon.

I've been terribly down, and lethargic, a bit tearful Sad

Haven't felt any joy in anything since Saturday when I had my walk in the woods.
Everything just feels like too much effort and too tired to even dust my flat at the moment or run myself a nice healing bath.

I've been sipping herbal tea and trying to just rest.

VioletCharlotte · 15/09/2021 21:39

Cerridwen83
Sorry you're not feeling very well. There seems to be a lot of coughs and cold doing the rounds at the moment. I guess it's inevitable now we're all out and about more. Make sure you get plenty of rest. I think we (and by we I mean women!) are guilty of trying to push on through when we have a cold, we dose ourselves up and tell ourselves we're ok, it's just a cold, whereas we should just allow ourselves the time we need to rest and recover. Plenty of fluids will help, I like to sip lemon and ginger tea stirred through with honey. Also warm blackcurrant makes me feel comforted as it reminds me of when my mum used to make it for me when I was a child. A warm bath with some eucalyptus oil will help you relax and unblock your nose. I do hope you feel better soon.

Queenrollo I love the idea of making Roman berry garlands, but not sure if I have the patience! Do share some photos when you're finished, I'd love to see them.

Blurpblorp yes, it's certainly feeling more autumnal. I noticed the change in the air this evening when I was walking my dog. As Speakout says, the dark evenings are drawing in quickly. I'm enjoying being able to close the curtains, put the fire on, light some candles and snuggle on the sofa.

Aerwyna · 16/09/2021 07:57

I love reading of everyone’s magical ways too, Always makes me feel at home settling down to read what everyone’s been up to. I have some Rowan berries to string too, from a place that’s special to me on the moor. A happy task for the weekend.

It’s a beautiful autumnal morning here after a sunny day yesterday, there’s mist in the valleys and the September morning light is delightful.

I also use honey lemon and ginger for colds- the juice of half a lemon, a good dollop of honey (about a desert spoonful) and about an inch of grated ginger in a mug, topped up with hot water. Eat foods with plenty of onion and garlic if you can, sage is good too. And yes to the rest and fluids. I agree we tend to push on when we should be resting.

Wishing everyone a magical day

speakout · 16/09/2021 08:18

Cerridwen83 I hope you are feeling a little better today. Being unwell affects my mood too-Ii give myself permission to wallow, while reminding myself it will not last.
queenrollo I hope you have fun making your garlands, brining that beautiful soft bountiful energy ino your home. Save a few seeds for spring, you can plant them in your own patch.
BlurpBlorp it's so hard to sit back when our children grow. In many ways it was easier when they were toddlers, everything could be put right by scooping them up, a cuddle and a story book. I t is harder to step back. You may consider sewing some sigils in clothing too, somewhere discreet, an inside hem or pocket.

Just finished some yoga at home and scoffed a large bowl of raspberries for breakfast. So good at this time of year. I only buy them fresh in season, imported ones over the winter months are just not the same fruit- and very expensive. A magpie in my garden has a bee in her bonnet this morning, has been shouting at everything that passes, not sure what her beef is about!!
Just about to start work, will make some tea and put on some uplifting soft music to aid my endeavours.

Sorry you aren't feeling well. I always perk myself up with a turmeric latte, made with almond milk, turmeric and cinnamon. It's so always warms me and acts as a comfort. I hope you feel better soon.
Cerridwen83 · 17/09/2021 10:26

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes and helpful advice.
I'm beginning to feel a bit better now. It was awful for a couple of days but am starting to feel more like myself again.

I really like the turmeric latte idea, duly noted on my to make list!
