Oh Mary how awful - will pray of course. Jolly good for the vicar! Do they have other children - I think it was my biggest fear when I was expecting B - that something would happen and I would have to explain to the girls why there was no baby. Prayers for this poor family and thanks and praises to God for all our children.

CC - I manage admin staff and clinics - very little to do with nurses - they are scary! Thank you for the compliment about my dds - I think they are smashing of course - but may be biased

Peachy · 28/11/2007 19:10

Hi guys

can i have someprayers for my family please? Its been a bit of a rollercoaster month for us!

But will start with the good news- AMry knows this0- Vicar has agreed to Baptise me, ds3 and our new baby when its born in the aSpring. I've wanted to be abptised for so long, and found it ahrd to make the time commitment invovled so really pleased.

The not so good stuff:

Dh has been off work for 3 weeks with severe depression , he's on meds now and back but they're hauling him in for a discipline on the 11th and it looks like he'll be out- not for the cikness, but because he ahs been refusing to take on unpaid overtime because of the effect the randomness ahs on our autistic children. ACAS confirm they can do that

Also we finally had it confirmed that ds3 is defintely ASD yesterday (we knew but...) which not only means 2/3 children are ASD but that the one I am expecting is now considerd extremly high risk (PAed today said 80%).
We though DS3 would get thre, slowly- but he may never speak properly which is sad.

DS1 (Also ASD_ ahs also been ill and off school for stress following a bullying episode which left him with shoe shaped bruises, and for which he was punished (they said he set upon 12 children!)- we're seeing the Head tomorrow.

Right now we'd really appreciate some prayers, we know how much luckier we are than many- we ahve each other and we're truly grateful for that, but it does feel as if we're getting slap after slap at the moment.

NorthernLurker · 28/11/2007 20:14

Hi Peachy - will pray for all of you - I can't believe dh can be treated like that by work! Will pray for the school thing and for ds3's speech - and especially for you as you hold everyone together and carry your fourth child. I think you are amazing

podglet · 28/11/2007 20:26

Hi all,

Peachy - how awful for your DH and your DS's - you sound a very strong lady with a lovely family and praying for you at this time.

NSFN - at being a radiator had a note from nursery, they seem to be doing a traditional nativity (thank goodness, can't bear this PC gone bonkers stuff I'm afraid) and DS is to be a donkey I cried when I read the note, goodness knows what I'll be like at the performance!

Mary - how's the sermon and essay going?

Hi lovely DO glad you are back...

Hello to the Captains too, hope all ok with you guys

Off to do my tesco shop now - gosh I love on line shopping

MaryBS · 28/11/2007 21:05

Sermon's finished (anyone want to read it? ! Essay is finished (tidied it up tonight)! Both submitted for checking/marking! I won't offer the essay for reading, unless there are any insomniacs out there...

I'm shattered! I've just spent 2 hours trying to get the printer to print 4 sheets of A3 sized GCSE homework for a friend's daughter. One print cartridge ran out. After 2 pages a different one ran out. Print kept resizing to A4 or jamming or just not printing, involving a shutdown and restart to fix. Unbelievable!

Peachy {hugs}. I still think its fantastic you're all being baptised together. It will be such a special day! So sorry to hear your husband is going through the mill, and for the dx on DS3. I've been thinking about my own dx, and the pleasure I get from books - and in particular the bible. Not sure if its because of AS, but since I've started studying the bible, I've found it a living breathing book, that really speaks to me in a way it never ever used to. I can't understand people that read in church in a monotone, its exciting, its relevant its central to being a Christian. Put some EXPRESSION into it!

DutchOma · 28/11/2007 21:45

Peachy, that's very tough. Hopefully you will get some help, practical as well as emotional, from your church fellowship.
Congratulations Mary on finishing sermon and essay. I so agree with what you say about reading in church, I love doing it.
Remember NSFN in your prayers if you can, she too is in a hard place.

MarsLady · 28/11/2007 22:00

Home.

My father is fine. Well what I mean is that he has some neurological problem which means he has lost the use of his lower body (legs etc). We've taken the decision to put him in a nursing home as he needs 24/7 care and we can't do that from the UK. Please pray that all the finances etc work out (he should have enough to pay for everything but you know how things just pop up).

Also, could you pray that I get life at home sorted please? I feel like I've been missing for ages and I have several pressing things to sort and the rest I got on my holiday vanished when I had to go to Jamaica. Thanks

CaptainDippy · 28/11/2007 22:29

Good to "see" you Peachy honey - You are doing so well and you are so brave and so strong. Praying for you, for your unborn babe, for your DH and your other 3 precious children. God is holding you and He will carry you through this time. I just know know it. xx

Yes, DO - thinking of NSFN at this time.

Just had a text from CC, she's been at A&E with her DS after he jumped off of the sofa and cut his head open on a door - ouch! Had to have stiches and everything, poor love.

Yey for finishing Sermon, Mary - good stuff.

Brain has mushed ...... Mars, so glad that your father is "all right", praise God he has enough money to keep him well cared for. You are doing the right and the very best thing for him. Praying that you can focus and settle down into your normal routine soon and that God gives you ltos of energy and opportunity for rest too. xx

Hello I'm guessing this is really a "prayer requests" thread, but wanted to say hello! Hope that's OK. I've been on Mumsnet for a few months (or more) now but only just managed to wander this way!

I'm a Christian first, wife to my wonderful husband for just over 3 years, and now mother to two lovely children! Our little girl is just turned 2 and we have a little boy who is 8.5 months. Children are a wonderful blessing from the Lord and bring so much joy.

It seems I end up staying in the house a lot of the time (my husband & I work from home, so that contributes to me stay at home even more) and I don't end up having a lot of contact with other people. So it would be great to get to know other Christian mums over the net.

My email if you want to get in touch is [email protected]

Thanks!

NorthernLurker · 28/11/2007 23:26
