Panda - at up since 4!! How's the course going? Could you get up at 3 tomorrow and nip down the M1 to mine, I never seem to get chance to tidy up . Prayers for your busy day to go smoothly.

welcome to CU and SMM, praying for CU's friends' dp and SMM's stepdad, also for Elibean's dad. Lord hold them and heal them.

Sermon sounds fab Mary - does it get recorded? Our sermons get loaded on to the webstie so we can download them. I would love to hear you preach. When are you giving the sermon?
Slightly off tangent, your sermon for some reason made me think of a slogan I saw on a t-shirt..."Jesus is coming - look busy!"

Hey everyone! Where's Sooz gone? SOOOOOZZZZ, where are you? Have you lost your boing?

All good here, LadyDeez and I went to see maroon 5 in concert on Sunday. WOW they are fantastic (swoon). Other than that, I am praising God for dsis being dry again, Thank You Lord!

DutchOma · 27/11/2007 08:24

Praying for you PandaG. If you can't sleep you might as well do something useful, but somehow the middle of the night is such a weird time to be cleaning the kitchen. Hope you sleep better tonight.
Giving thanks with CC for dsis being dry... long may it last. How is her dd? Is she coping?

mufti · 27/11/2007 08:54

morning all, got a cold now , pah.
we are all still tired and drained, having bad nights sleeps, or rather not sleeps, not using the time as usefully as PandaG though.
how is mum NQGU?
very good re sis CC, i want dh to cut down his intake, he has been trying, which is good , old habits from all the time on his own perhaps.
bless your friend, nsfn, hope you feel better today.

CaptainDippy · 27/11/2007 10:30

bobsmum · 27/11/2007 10:52

Morning all.

Dh didn't get the job He says it's ok as he didn't really feel comfortable with the person he would be working for.

His contract finishes in Feb, but as it's temporary there'll be no redundancy this time round and our savings will have gone on the central heating being put in.

Dh has way more faith than I do on these things. he seems to be confident that the right thing will turn up. I hate all the uncertainty.

On a totally different subject I'm trying to get dd potty trained. She's definitely ready and knows what to do and when, but gets panicky when it all actually happens IYSWIM All she needs is to sit down when things begin rather than jump up an insist on looking at what she's produced!

My SPD is twinging and beginning so I need to get dd sorted before I"m house bound again. I'm 19 weeks and was unable to walk properly from about 24+ weeks last time. Could you pray against it returning altogether? I can't manage out here with 2 children and a bump if I can't walk!

Off to make a cuppa - that'll help

CaptainDippy · 27/11/2007 11:11

Bobsmum - Sooooo good to see you sweetie - I am sorry DH didn't get the job I am not good with uncertainty either and DH is very much the optimist - "oh, it'll be fine " etc etc - Guess I am just much mroe of a realist than him. Sigh. It's a good balance to have, I guess!!? Anyway, I REALLY praying something comes up for him asap, scary times for you. xxxx Praying AGAINST the SPD as well ...... Keep us up-to-date and know that you are very much cared about and loved and being prayed for - Hope the potty training goes ok with DD, very brave. (Phew, soooo glad you are going have a new baby to put all those beautiful nappies you own on - It would be a waste otherwise, eh!!? ) xx

OP posts:
bobsmum · 27/11/2007 11:13

Hee hee - I sold all our first size nappies so I have an excuse to get some new fluffy weeny ones and cute wraps. But in order to get them as cheaply as possible I'll have to go to the SCottish Baby Show which is on my due date Waddle waddle!

notsofarnow · 27/11/2007 12:26

ow bobsmum so feeling for you on the spd front. I had something similar with ds but one night I turned over in bed and my back went clunk and it was better from then on in. I htink it was because my body hadn't had time to recover from giving birth to dd 5 months before.

Hope ds keeps dry cc its such a worry isn't it.

Am looking after df dd who is 11 off with a cough while she is at solicitors re divorce.

I've bought some bargains today at charity shop a brand new pair of faith dolly shoes, a brand new pair of principles 3/4 trousersa pair of next 3/4 trousers, a george top and a next dress all for £20

MaryBS · 27/11/2007 16:50

Quick visit...

CCM - no the sermons don't get recorded, how scary would THAT be! . Love the idea of the t-shirt, might see if I can incorporate that somehow! Its a bit late to get one made up with it on... maybe with a fabric pen...

I've left out the bit about the school report, because it didn't fit in. Put in a bit about "King Midas" and everything turning to gold, then that showing him gold isn't everything. Not quite finished. Am still struggling with the "one taken one left". Don't know about you, but I always find that vaguely worrying...

Panda, praying you've survived today OK!

NL/Rosie like the prayers!

CaptainCaveman · 27/11/2007 17:05

Hey guys, flitting in before I go out AGAIN!

Ds just told me they have been rehearsing their nursery play, so I asked him to sing me a song from it:

"We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Wee tinies we bring, for you and your kids
We wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

hee hee, thats so cute!!

SpookyMadMummy · 27/11/2007 17:13

Thank you all for your prayers.
My Stepdad had his surgery this afternoon and thankfully he came out the other side. Now the hard work with recovery starts!!
My mum thanks you all too!
I will be sure to pay it forward.

DutchOma · 27/11/2007 17:15

Blessy our DS, CC

Glad sermon is going well, Mary - that "one taken, one left" thing scares me too....

notsofarnow · 27/11/2007 19:25

Asked dd what she was being in the christmas play and eventually she said a Radiator while dd1 was wetting herself on the settee we established that maybe she was being a reindeer. Kids aren't they fab.

NorthernLurker · 27/11/2007 19:50

nsfn - that's brilliant!

harrisey · 27/11/2007 20:36

I've been reading and praying for you guys but not posting as I am up to my eyeballs in work.
Have finished one essay, one just needs a little tweaking, and one I still have 1000 words to write. Plus I have a 2 hour CHristology exam on Wednesday next week, all the essays are due on Thursday. Then I am free to get on with my placement until Christmas.

So thats whyI'm not round much. I will have written 8500 words in essays this term as well as the exam. Owwch!

DutchOma · 27/11/2007 21:33

Praying for your workload Harissey.
A radiator, now there's a role I wouldn't mind. Radiating love and warmth and comfort... much better than a reindeer

CaptainCaveman · 28/11/2007 08:07

Thats cute nsfn. Our nursery have been told by Ofstead that they are not allowed to do a nativity play, incase they offend people of other religions . Neither are they supposed to refer to Christmas as Christmas....bureaucracy gone mad at last??

so, perhaps your dd is a radiator after all?!

Praying for your hard work Harrisey, we're missing you.

Where is Sooz?

CaptainCaveman · 28/11/2007 08:11

Hey NL, I just looked at your profile page - gorgeous dd's btw! - and noticed you are also an NHS manager! What area do you work in? I manage DNs, community matrons and specialist nurses (obv community based!)

CaptainDippy · 28/11/2007 11:38

Praying for workload, harrisey. xxxx

LOL @ your DD nsfn - classic

can't believe your DS' nursery can't do a Nativity, CC!! Actualy, come to think of it, Pre-School are doing "Christmas Songs Round the Tree", so perhaps they are not allowed either ..... I'll ask ..... deary me!

Dad will be here in a sec, then lunch and swimming ......

Please pray for a family in our village. Their baby died during childbirth, and they are absolutely devastated. I don't know anymore than that, other than the council wanted an outrageous fee to bury the baby, and our vicar has offered to do it all for free.

DutchOma · 28/11/2007 16:36

Praying Mary. And thank God for your vicar.

CaptainDippy · 28/11/2007 16:59

Oh Mary that por family Yes, Praise God for your Vicar. Praying for them lots. xx
