A shiny new thread for a bright shiny new year.

This is a place to pause, be still and count our blessings, great and small. Everyone is welcome, whether you have faith of any kind or none at all.

We would love for you to join with us as we celebrate the good things from loving families to washing drying on the line😁

I am grateful for a few days off in a row where I could rest and recuperate while getting some jobs out the way that I have let slide whilst busy.

I feel refreshed and more energised today for that rest. So I am grateful for a reset.

I just went out for a walk on the farm where I live and the smell of the elderflower after the rain was so beautiful.

The noise of the breeze in the trees. The heron landing in it's nest. The fields with the barley just coming into the sea waves stage. The birdsong. The freshness after the rain. I feel I let go of a few things that were feeling a little heavy on that walk. So I am grateful for where I live.

Time and headspace to prepare a healthy lunch full of vegetables and seeds and nuts.

I'm grateful for time.

Breathmiller that's a beautiful description Star

Hope you're having a restful day today Quinin.

Lucky to have such fab colleagues and friends.

Being included in something awesome.

Time outside in green spaces and the freedom of zooming around on my bike. Forgotten how much I love it.

Lessstressedhemum · 06/07/2021 23:01

How beautiful, breath!
Quinin, I hope today has been a good day.

A visit from ds3 and ddil.

A lovely bathroom

Work I find meaningful

Beautiful kids books

Breathmiller · 07/07/2021 16:47

Negative covid test results for adult dd and her partner.

Even better because she can babysit again so dh and I can go away at the weekend. 😆

Dh's cooking. As I get ready to head out to work I can smell the delicious dinner I will be having when I get home.

BigGreen · 07/07/2021 23:14

Grateful for my wee son

So great to be able to do something nice for someone you love

Happy to be listened to by someone today

Breathmiller · 08/07/2021 07:58

biggreen I've had a notion to go on a bike again. I might get my rusty old bike out in the holidays and dust it off.

Optimist1 · 08/07/2021 10:13

Having the opportunity to help out family members who are so helpful to me
A good night's sleep
The excitement that last night's football generated

BigGreen · 08/07/2021 23:24

Oh yes do Breath! It's one of the things that makes me feel like a kid again Grin

Grateful for DS3 who said 'I'm so happy today' riding through the park on my bike. Such a gorgeous moment.

Very happy to have a new kids cookbook. Spent some lovely times choosing recipes with DS7 that he's going to cook for us!

Thanks for antidepressants as they really have saved me from burn out this year.

Being on holiday.

Lots of lovely messages from my clients to enjoy my break.

Someone, in a similar field that I have a lot of respect for, recommending me to her clients.

Oh and did, I mention - BEING ON HOLIDAY!? Grin

quinin · 12/07/2021 08:08

Lovely aunt who is the best person I know and all the love and kindness she shows me

My comfy bed which is much needed right now

For mediation and dreams, two things that guide me.

Breathmiller · 12/07/2021 08:47

A weekend away with dh. Time to ourselves. Just perfect.

Grateful for my older dd coming to stay with my younger ds' so we could go away.

And coming home to the biggest hug from my little one. Even managed a hug from the teenager.

Breathmiller · 12/07/2021 12:59

An impromptu swim with dh and ds in the local loch. It was bliss.

Grateful for a hot shower to come home to.

Lessstressedhemum · 13/07/2021 11:25

A good day for drying
It was easy to get a doctor's appointment for my b12 Jag, just for a change.
The fridge wasn't broken, I'd just turned it off by accident🙄

A last minute trip away. Resting in a hotel room with my crew before heading out to explore the city and get dinner. It all feels a bit adventurous.

Super grateful for my second jab.

A kind partner who takes care of things when I'm feeling unwell.

Breathmiller · 16/07/2021 09:40

Grateful for friends who I meditated with this morning via Zoom. It's called our gratitude group. We haven't had time to do it lately but we did a weekly morning session throughout the last year. It has been a wonderful thing to come out of all of this. We would never have thought to join from our 4 corners of the country without this last year happening.

Beautiful sunshine.

A wonderful family.

quinin · 16/07/2021 10:26

I'm grateful for normal poo's. Not something you think about until you stop having them but a wonder of the human body no less.

For my body's healing capacity, incredible.

For peace and quite to meditate and connect.

BigGreen · 16/07/2021 23:15

Grateful to be a Mum today, as I read DS7's school books and found some lovely things written about us all and some very funny stories based on our cat. It was a wonderful glimpse into my little person's world and I was so happy to have made him feel loved and safe.

DS3 was just so funny today as well. It's amazing to watch a kid's sense of humour develop and he just finds some games hilarious. Listening to kids laugh, it just makes my heart feel good.

BigGreen · 16/07/2021 23:17

Quinin that's so wonderful to read about your body healing and regulating again. Sending you warmth through the Interwebs for positive healing. Thanks

Lessstressedhemum · 17/07/2021 09:14

Quinin, that is brilliant news. Our bodies are a miracle.
Green, Isnt it sweet. I remember, a long, long time ago when my eldest was in P1 (25 years ago), I went to parents' night and was able to read his news book. One Monday, he had written -
My mum cleaned out my fish tank on Saturday and almost murdered my fish because the water was too cold!
(He has hyperlexia and was a very advanced reader and writer.)
I was mortified but his teacher thought it was hilarious🤣

I'm grateful for
My children all being kind, considerate, well adjusted adults
Tea made from herbs picked from my garden
Watching the wee birds flock to my feeders
