A shiny new thread for a bright shiny new year.

This is a place to pause, be still and count our blessings, great and small. Everyone is welcome, whether you have faith of any kind or none at all.

We would love for you to join with us as we celebrate the good things from loving families to washing drying on the line😁

Ooh, i had a big bowl of delicious cherries for dessert. My favourite.

My youngest still being snuggly. Not sure how many years I have left of that. But luckily my daughter is brewing a grandchild so the snuggles will continue.

Where I live. My house is not big or fancy but I live semi rurally and I get a lot of joy from the views and the surrounding area. I drove home last night and as I turned into my road up to the farm I had such a sense of gratitude for being able to live here.
Waking up in the morning to the sun rising over the hills and fields just fills me with happiness.

Breathmiller · 20/06/2021 13:00

A day off getting my house in order.

Laughter with a friend who was helping me with some homework.

A friend sending him reading of a poem for summer Solstice.

A lovely, healthy lunch

A beautiful day. Proper warm. More washings. I love seeing washing hanging out.

A quiet day to rest before a busy few days ahead.

Time at the park chatting to some of the other mums before school ends.

A good healthy dinner full of fresh veggies.

Time with just dh for a few hours today.

Knowing that my friend who is having a hard time with her health has had a better day today.

BigGreen · 22/06/2021 23:10

A really nice dinner
Making healthy choices today
Making progress on work, even if slow

TheMemSaab · 23/06/2021 17:40

Hello I post on Mumsnet once in a blue moon, but am feeling inspired to do so today. Perhaps because I am missing Christian friends that I haven't seen in ages! But I am feeling greatful that God is good and He is always there, even when I forget about Him and get caught up in my own rediculous thoughts and worries.

frozendaisy · 23/06/2021 21:15

Long days.
Kids practising piano.
Euro football.

BigGreen · 23/06/2021 23:02

Appreciating my work colleague - talking to her is easy and always super inspiring.

To have health support and moral support.

The sun coming back out again and being able to sit by the water and watch the dragonflies.

To have great fun kids who want to scoot and cycle every day after tea, taking mystery tours around the neighbourhood and making the most out of every single ramp, pathway, and car park.

Lessstressedhemum · 24/06/2021 09:15

Kids have all had their first covid jags now
My trees are chock full of wee fledglings demanding fed

After a 12 hour nonstop shift at work, where I didn't get much chance to eat, i came home to a homemade veggie curry made by dh. House all tidy. Bliss.

Ds17 who has had some challenges in life is out with friends from college and staying at a friends house tonight. We didn't know if he'd ever get there with this sort of thing.

He has also got a place out of lots of applications on a residential course that may well be something big for his future.

BigGreen · 24/06/2021 22:36

Nice that your family members are having positive energies Rainbow and Breathmiller Smile

Thankful for the NHS, it really is a marvel.

A sunny bike ride!

Delicious new recipes

Breathmiller · 25/06/2021 18:09

Lovely, uplifting day at work, working with some wonderful people.

Friday! Grin

Home to my wee boy and cuddling up on the sofa watching his favourite movie.

That feeling just knowing your family are all well at this moment.

A warm bath to ease a tired body.

So much to be grateful for.

BigGreen · 25/06/2021 23:00

Our neighbours set off some pretty awesome fireworks tonight.

I spent some really lovely time with DC2, zooming around on my bike.

Enjoying super nice food at the moment.

frozendaisy · 26/06/2021 12:48

I want neighbours with awesome fireworks!

frozendaisy · 26/06/2021 12:50

Excellent music on radio6

A increasingly decluttered house & garden, no where near complete but it takes less time to clean as time goes by because housework is only fun once in a blue moon!

Strawberries from the garden.

rainbowninja · 26/06/2021 15:42

@frozendaisy I'm with you on that, love a bit of radio 6!

A tidy desk

A quiet, unhurried Saturday

A great husband

Breathmiller · 26/06/2021 19:19

A day trip out in the train with a great gang of 9 year olds for a birthday treat. Great fun to see kids running around at an adventure park and just being kids.
