A shiny new thread for a bright shiny new year.

This is a place to pause, be still and count our blessings, great and small. Everyone is welcome, whether you have faith of any kind or none at all.

We would love for you to join with us as we celebrate the good things from loving families to washing drying on the line😁

A new opportunity.
Authors who rarely get a word out of place.
New art sets.

rainbowninja · 09/06/2021 21:07

Beautiful summers day

My mum for always being there, doing her best

My grandparents for so much comfort and wonderful family times

Breathmiller · 09/06/2021 22:45

Having a job I love and even on days when I feel it would be good to rest instead (i have a cold) I always feel better afterwards. Especially for the care and a bit of humour from my clients about my sniffles.

For a thorough GP who wants to get to the bottom of a recurring issue. I felt she listened and cared.

BigGreen · 09/06/2021 22:59

A quiet house
Sunshine
DH's sense of humour

BigGreen · 10/06/2021 23:10

Delicious summer veggies in the veggie box

Treated myself to a nice new cookbook as I'm going vegan-ish. Looking forward to it arriving Smile

DH sent me off to rest and cleaned the kitchen which made me feel cared for

BigGreen · 12/06/2021 23:05

Fun at a local craft event in the park. The kids were a pleasure.

Seeing a lovely friend and enjoying her infectious energy.

Making the kids super duper happy by buying some fruit and a bag of jellybeans. Making the most of this as I'm sure in just a few years it will be smart phones on their wish list!

ILoveAnOwl · 12/06/2021 23:08

Grateful for a sunny day at the beach with the most epic friends / support crew you could wish for!

Breathmiller · 13/06/2021 10:12

A quiet day yesterday after having friends in the garden on Friday night. A nice balance of socialising and much needed quiet time.

HarrietHairbrush · 13/06/2021 12:59

Ooh this looks like the kind of thread I could do with atm

HarrietHairbrush · 13/06/2021 14:08

Is it poor form to join so far into a thread? I like this idea. I am grateful for the lovely flowers in the garden that I have grown 🌹

Breathmiller · 13/06/2021 16:53

harriethairbrush
Not bad form at all. It's a long running thread i believe and I'm a relative newcomer.

It's a wonderful thread.

BigGreen · 13/06/2021 22:53

Taking things one day at a time

Breathmiller · 15/06/2021 09:43

Negative covid tests. But gratitude for the people who staffed the test centre, very efficient, friendly and kind, especially with my youngest who was a bit nervous.

Lessstressedhemum · 15/06/2021 18:34

The Protect Scotland App for notifying of a close contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19.
The ability to self isolate
A calm frame of mind that means that nobody in here panics at the idea of being in contact with someone who tested positive.

Breathmiller · 15/06/2021 20:19

Yes, lessstresedmum a calm frame of mind from all yesterday (forgiving ds9 a few nerves about the actual test itself) really went far. Thenhe actually did the test himself with no problems at all. He was quite proud of himself.

Hope you have a peaceful isolation. How long?

BigGreen · 15/06/2021 23:12

Sending you all covid-free good wishesThanks

A lovely time at the playground with my boys. It's a pleasure to be able to delight them so much with a chasing game.

DS being able to be open with us about feeling a bit left out

Buying two lovely new fact books for his birthday that I think he will treasure

Breathmiller · 16/06/2021 15:13

After talking to my dh about how I feel my immune system isn't what it should be, I came down from a morning of work to a beautiful buddha bowl of salad, veggies, nuts and seeds. He has his moments like we all do but deep down he's a good'un.

BigGreen · 16/06/2021 22:39

Just a day with hardly any zoom meetings meaning I had a big chunk of time to get on with more creative tasks

Happy to be able to work in the garden

Seeing DS' excitement about his birthday party this weekend, it's lovely, and infectious

Breathmiller · 17/06/2021 16:57

A walk in my lunch hour. Feeling the sun warming my body.
