Looking back over the thread to do a summary, there is so much to thank God for in the past month or so:
Bobsmum coming more or less unscathed through a car crash, with bean intact, Podglet's bean doing well in 'secret' and most of all Pepperpot's wonderful news. God is good, never doubt it.

Lots of large and small struggles:
CaptainCaveman, CaptainDippy, MaryBS, Mufti, NQGU, Roseylea, Zipadisuzy and probably quite a few others struggling with negative feelings, anxiety and feelings of being a 'bad mummy'. Praying that you will derive your self worth from your Heavenly Father Who knows 'how we are made' and loves us with an unfailing love.
Harrisey with decisions to make about future ministry
NSFN for wisdom regarding relationships.
QueenofQuotes - giving thanks for a better relationship.
Creambunnie for wisdom and strength in dealing with a difficult marriage.
PandaG for a new job that's just right

Praying with ChocolatePeanut for poorly mother and baby, giving thanks that the news so far is good.

And giving thanks with Dumbledoresgirl for the recovery of NASW/Losty, who is now PhoenixSoaring, how marvellous is that?

We keep praying for OnlyJoking and MummytoT&F, who are both still in very hard places.

MumtoGusnAlbie, MorticiasMother, NotanOtter and Shreksmissus, let us know how we can continue to pray for you. If I have forgotten to mention anybody, God never forgets and He loves you.
And everyone who has a look at this thread, we know that 'our help comes from Him Who has made heaven and earth, Who loved us before we were formed and Who never abandons what He has begun. Praise be to His Holy Name.

{{{{{Rosey}}}}]] You one brave chick, praying this attack of Crohns is over soon sweetie. xx

Glad DS is happier at nursery Podglet.

Gosh, I can't believe your Grandad is still hanging in there, QofQ What an incredible man! Praying the naturalisation and the application process etc is swift for you andy our DH. xx

Man I am tired!

CaptainDippy · 03/11/2007 20:55

Praying for PhoenixSoaring. xx

StressTeddy · 03/11/2007 20:56

Ps has just been on another thread - she is ok

TheQueenOfQuotes · 03/11/2007 21:01

CD - yes he's still going - defying all the odds (again). Not sure how to word this without it sounding really crass and uncaring, but mum and I are both hoping he goes soon. As every time her phone rings (especially at "odd" hours) she's nervous answering it in case it's the home saying he's passed away, and when my phone rings at any time (it hardly rings - nobody loves me enough to ring me often ) I'm nervous answering it in case it's my mum passing on the news. Does that make sense??

Anyhow, knowing him I'll still be here on next years October/November prayer thread saying "he's still hanging on in there" LOL.

CaptainDippy · 03/11/2007 21:07

Yes it does make sense honey - I am praying he goes quickly & peacefully soon. xx

Thank you stressteddy

MaryBS · 03/11/2007 21:08

So pleased PS is OK!!! Sorry for scaring everyone!

QoQ, I know what you mean about the phone calls {{hugs}}

The study day went really well. Just about everyone was working from scripts, so no problems there, and it was a lot less stressful and more fun than I imagined. Plus we had a lovely shared lunch and shared Eucharist together. I'm pleased we had a shared lunch, because it was my idea we do that, after the last study day!

CaptainDippy · 03/11/2007 21:11

Glad it went well Mary!

MaryBS · 03/11/2007 21:14

{waves} how are you today CD? How are your gorgeous children? Especially darling little P?

CaptainDippy · 03/11/2007 21:19

I am very knackered and bit fed-up tbh; but ok other than that Gorgeous girls are ok - poor DD1 is full of yukky cold, very tired and not her usual self Darling P is yummy; but also full of cold and tired - DD2 is not so full of cold and quite bouncey How are you and your lovely little ones??

MaryBS · 03/11/2007 21:35

Asleep, thank God! I think they gave DH a hard time today! DD sang at another wedding today, so she's pleased she's earned another £5. Plus she's been told there's another 11 weddings booked for next year, so she's counting the money already! . I'm thinking of joining the choir!

Are you going to be able to get some rest tonight? I'm off to bed now, going to have an early night!

CaptainDippy · 03/11/2007 21:42

Ooooh, think I might join the choir too! Pity I am tone deaf though Night Mary - Yeah, I am kind of resting now, will go to bed soon. Can't ever relax, complete pita. Poop.

podglet · 04/11/2007 09:22

Morning

One v tired lady here, party went well but I am shattered!

Glad PS is ok, praying for her.

CD - hope you got some good sleep last night and the poorly ones are better today.

Mary - I used to love singing at weddings when I was in the choir, it was quite a small village so we usually knew one of the parties tying the knot I only used to get about £2 a time though - that's inflation for you

Request for me today - please can you pray for me tomorrow on my first day back in the office for a year? I am dreading it, especially as I will probably have to break the news about this pregnancy as well. I was going to try and keep quiet for a week or so, but my tummy might give me away Hoping work oren't too horrid to me and that I survive the stress.

DutchOma · 04/11/2007 10:11

Unfortunately PhoenixSoaring is by no means ok, search her name (no time for link as on way to church) for yesterday and you will see what I mean.
Pray for Dumbledoresgirl as well, please

Mary thanks so much for this prayer

Lord,
you know the memory I am avoiding
give me the courage to choose to look at it
touch it, feel it, confront it.
Show me what you wish to heal in me at this time.
Bathe me, wash me
soak me in your love, mercy and grace
so that the pain of that memory is eased away,
but leave me with the memory now redeemed
leave me the scars whilst here on earth
so that I can show them proudly to others
as I would battle honours. Amen.

It speaks absolute volumes to me, God bless you for sharing this.

Happy birthday to dh today who is 40, old man!!
Prayers needed for dsis who after doing brill for 8 weeks fell off the wagon fairly spectacularly yesterday. We went out for dh's bday, about 20 of us. She fell over in the 2nd pub and was utterly wasted. She admitted to having been drinking for the past couple of days. Praise that she was able to admit to having had a drink and prayers that she goes back to abstinance.

How are we all today?

CaptainDippy · 04/11/2007 11:12

re your DSis, CC Not good. Sorry about all the , but alcoholism is a subject very close to my own heart and I am just so for your DSis and your precious DNiece too. Protect them and heal them, Lord. xx

Praying for 1st day back, Podglet - It will be ok. Hope your "breaking the big news" goes ok too!

Praying for PhoenixSoaring and for DumbledoresGirls too, thank you DO. xx

Well DD1 is at church with MIL and other 2 are sleeping so I thought I would go back to bed myself ....... Woken up by DH talking to me and then woken up again by DD3 squeaking (although she seems to have settled herself back down again ) Bum. So much for rest. Going to go and make myself a cup of tea and sulk.....

DutchOma · 04/11/2007 12:30

Happy sulking CD.
Sorry to hear about your sister CC, I have no experience of alcoholism but see enough on here on MN to know what a problem it can be.
Praying she can soon climb back on the wagon again. Special prayers for dniece.
Prayers for you Podglet as well, that you may settle back happily and that your glad tidings will be perceived as such.

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 04/11/2007 15:04

Hi DO - sulking was good, but I am going to go out now and blow away a few cobwebs!

PandaG · 04/11/2007 20:29

Hello again all

praying for you all, but particularly Phoenix.

Podglet - praying for your first day back at work

xx

MaryBS · 05/11/2007 08:17

CCM - it IS a good prayer, but a difficult one too. For me it helps me find a strength to face things, through the love and mercy of God. Happy belated bday to DH, and so sorry to hear about your sister. Praying she can get herself sorted, but it must be wearing for her and all those who love her.

Also praying for Phoenix and all those supporting her, especially DG.

Podglet - hoping and praying all goes well for you today at work, and that you don't worry too much! {hug}

Can we still remember Andrew in our prayers? He is still missing, has been since 16 September.

Love and God bless to all

Mary x

Notquitegrownup · 05/11/2007 10:54

Good morning all.

Flying by with prayers, especially for Phoenixsoaring and Andrew.

God bless all.

CaptainDippy · 05/11/2007 11:02

Morning! Yes, lots of prayers for Andrew. Must do a new thread soon ..... why am I soooo busy!!? Argh!

Notquitegrownup · 05/11/2007 11:05

Morning CD Something to do with having 3 little ones perhaps?!

CaptainDippy · 05/11/2007 11:18

Hi NQGU! > Ah, yes, that might have something to do with it!

CaptainCaveman · 05/11/2007 20:29

Hey guys, had a lovely day, been to see friends and their lo's. Been cuddling a particularly scrummy 4.5 month old

dsis sounds ok, swears she hasn't had a drink and sounded sober when I spoke to her on the phone this evening. She is miffed though coz ds didn't want to go round and watch fireworks at her house. Tbh, we just look out the window and can see practically all of the east side of Nottingham's fireworks! Why go outside and get cold?!

Praise God for peace and calm that I'm feeling at the moment. Bliss, utter bliss. Thank you God.

praying for you all, particularly PS, Andrew and DG.

How was work today Podglet? Hope it went ok!
CD,Sooz, Mary, DO, Panda (still got cd in my bag ready to post ), nqgu, qoq, worzella, Praying for you all. And any one else I may have missed.

MTGAA, if you're reading this - hope you are ok too, we miss you and pray for peace and serenity to infuse your life.
