Looking back over the thread to do a summary, there is so much to thank God for in the past month or so:
Bobsmum coming more or less unscathed through a car crash, with bean intact, Podglet's bean doing well in 'secret' and most of all Pepperpot's wonderful news. God is good, never doubt it.

Lots of large and small struggles:
CaptainCaveman, CaptainDippy, MaryBS, Mufti, NQGU, Roseylea, Zipadisuzy and probably quite a few others struggling with negative feelings, anxiety and feelings of being a 'bad mummy'. Praying that you will derive your self worth from your Heavenly Father Who knows 'how we are made' and loves us with an unfailing love.
Harrisey with decisions to make about future ministry
NSFN for wisdom regarding relationships.
QueenofQuotes - giving thanks for a better relationship.
Creambunnie for wisdom and strength in dealing with a difficult marriage.
PandaG for a new job that's just right

Praying with ChocolatePeanut for poorly mother and baby, giving thanks that the news so far is good.

And giving thanks with Dumbledoresgirl for the recovery of NASW/Losty, who is now PhoenixSoaring, how marvellous is that?

We keep praying for OnlyJoking and MummytoT&F, who are both still in very hard places.

MumtoGusnAlbie, MorticiasMother, NotanOtter and Shreksmissus, let us know how we can continue to pray for you. If I have forgotten to mention anybody, God never forgets and He loves you.
And everyone who has a look at this thread, we know that 'our help comes from Him Who has made heaven and earth, Who loved us before we were formed and Who never abandons what He has begun. Praise be to His Holy Name.

Pepperpots, I'm so sorry, may God hold you in his love.
Mary, that is a beautiful prayer and one we can so easily make our own, thank you for that.
Harrisey, International Bible College is where he's gone? he is indeed very tall. He is a church memeber with us and has done some pretty impressive preaching at the church. He will know who I am as I'm the only Dutch person in the church.
Still struggling with the thought of the newborn twins whose mummy died so soon after their birth, more so since I knew they were JWs As the title thread says:"I can't stop thinking about it".
Can I ask you to pray for our new minister, Paul and his wife, Judith and their two children, Charlotte and Ben? Ben is autistic, so the whole move and the induction tomorrow will be a struggle for him.
Thanks.

DO its the sil of the friend that was ill before we went. She is talking of coming to church with me next week, she has been doing a lot of talking to mediums over recent months and I have told her why I don't agree so more prayers there would be good too.

Home is fine ds hasn't stopped eating so thats good to see.

Right off to sort some more stuff out.

Roseylea · 02/11/2007 15:22

Hello all,

Just a quick one. NSFN so glad you had a fab holiday! V. hard for your friend - I know someone in that same position and it's so hard for her.

Cuold you pray please? I've not been on here (or anywhere else for that matter) much this week as I've been so ill - my Crohns has kicked off in a big way and I'm feeling so yuk and weak. I've got a nice new flat stomach though! We have got quite a busy weekend with parties and so on, so please pray for a quick recovery. I hate always asking for prayer for my health - I so envy people who are fit as a fiddle and bursting with energy! Still, I've had lots of time this week to pray and read, so there is always good to be found.

Notquitegrownup · 02/11/2007 16:36

Aw Rosie. Prayers and big hugs. You are so brave with your Chrones.

Special prayers for you and your family at this time Pepperpots. So sorry to hear that you are going through this.

Special prayers for your friend too Aero. It must be a v. frightening time for her. Prayers for those treating her and praying that she will know God's peace at this time.

Welcome back NSFN! Are you sporting an amazing tan?

Hello everyone else

God bless.

worzella · 02/11/2007 18:27

pepperpots - so sorry to hear your news, it really isn't fair.... no doubt you will have lots of 'why' questions.... we had 3 mc and couldn't see God in it at all.... but some time on and the need for answers reduces. We live in a broken world and God will be grieving too...

Hi to everyone else too - we survived Disney - in fact quite enjoyed it!!!

harrisey · 02/11/2007 18:35

pepperpots - meant to say how sorry I was to hear your news- must be very traumatic for you - I've had mc but an ectopic is a whole other experience because of what you have to go through physically.

Simon Baxter is at college. In fact , he was talking at worship this morning, but I had to leave as I was having a huge coughing fit and was disturbing everyone. Its International Christian College we're at. I was going to say to him and then I thought what can I say to him "this random woman on a website I frequent says she thinks she knows you but i have no idea what her name is or where she is from!" but I will say on Monday. I like Simon he comes to the prayer meetings I am in charge of organising!

podglet · 02/11/2007 19:20

Hi all,

Pepperpots, I am so sorry to hear your news. Praying for your recovery both physical and mental and may God hold you and your DH near.

aero - praying for your friend too.

NSFN - glad you had a fab time. Horrid for your friend though, what a tricky situation to be in.

Rosey - so sorry to hear you have been suffering but at flat tummy - am slighty too as mine is going the other way!

Your prayers are working - DS had a much better day at nursery today - he ate all his meals and snacks, and wasn't tearful at all. He has been playing nicely with his new friends - I cried when they told me (with relief)

Party day tomorrow - looking forward to seeing everybody - praying all goes smoothly!

podglet · 02/11/2007 19:22

Harrisey - you do know who she is.... Her name is DO, she comes from Mumsnet and she has a daughter called DD - I am sure he will know who you mean when you explain it like that

TheQueenOfQuotes · 02/11/2007 20:37

oh Pepper - only just saw this praying for you.

Update on my Granddad - I didn't call the home/write in the end - after chatting with my mum we decided to leave it a few days to see what happens (he'd just got a new bed - so mattress may have been on it's way, and had only been on the Diazepam (sp) for a few days too. Anyhow, talked to her yesterday - pressure mattress is in place, and the Dr. had been and changed the dosage from "regular" to "as needed" as he said it was too much for him - so I was right. He's still hanging on in there - we reckon he's wants a photo of all our DS's with him before he drifts off now LOL (we took some while there).

On another note, could do with some prayers, nothing major really, infact feel a bit daft . DH has decided that he's going to apply for British Citizenship (ie be "naturalised" LOL) (came like a bolt out of the blue to me as he's always been adamant that he would hang on to his Zimbabwean passport/nationality). I've been looking into it today and the application fee is £655, plus £34 (possibly plus VAT) for the "Life in the UK" test, then of course the cost of a new Passport.

His Zimbabwean passport runs out at the end of next year, and not only does it take AGES to get a new one (I've heard talk over over 12 months - and in some cases they're not renewing at all!) but we'd rather not have the cost of a new Zimbabwean passport and a British one (Mugabe has banned dual nationality in the last few years , so he'll be forfeiting that......his reasoning, quite simple really - if things improve it's almost certain that dual nationality would be allowed again, and if they don't - well at least he'll be "British" and have more freedom to go whereever we (God) may choose.

Aero · 02/11/2007 20:51

Thank-you DutchOma, CD and podglet. My friend has a very strong faith, but I'm sure this will have knocked her for six. Thank-you for praying for her - I know she will appreciate your prayers.

DutchOma · 02/11/2007 22:13

Harrisey, if you say you have greetings from a (mad)Dutch lady in his home church (Mount Pleasant Baptist church Northampton) he will know. And if he doesn't never mind, the greetings and prayers are still there.
Best of luck with the citizenship application QoQ

OP posts:
MaryBS · 03/11/2007 07:15

QoQ - praying that you both will be able to straighten out the citizenship issue.

Aero, its good that your friend has a strong faith, but the faith of even the strongest Christians take a battering sometimes. Its good that you are there for her! Will continue to pray for her. Let us know how you get on.

Rosey, praying that your Crohns clears up and you can have an enjoyable weekend.

Please pray for me today. Today is a training day, when I have to give my presentation on St Augustine. I've decided to do it scripted, as due to everything else going on, I really haven't had time to sit down and learn it!

MaryBS · 03/11/2007 20:24

Does anyone know if Phoenixsoaring is OK? There've been a couple of posts tonight where people have expressed grave concerns for her welfare, and I'm not sure what's triggered it... can we please pray for her, that God protects her and keeps her safe?
