DutchOma · 04/10/2007 15:43

Wondering how things are now CD? Mary?

notsofarnow · 04/10/2007 15:54

Gosh it's just taken me ages to catch up (again) Praying that surgery went really well CD. My dd had surgery on her eye just before her 3rd birthday (injury) So prayers are with you.

Will post on phone conversation when I get chance. But he did text me yest. saying how much he missed me i've never met him. and that he really likes me.

MaryBS · 04/10/2007 15:54

I've not heard anything as yet - I'll text her...

MaryBS · 04/10/2007 16:54

I've heard from CD:

"it went really well. Anaesthetic was pretty traumatic, she's dozing now, but still quite upset, trying to itch her eye, pull at canular etc. Broke my hear to hear her screaming after she came round"

poor little munchkin!

NorthernLurker · 04/10/2007 17:39

Glad its over with and looking ok. about the screaming and upset. Hope you all feel much better soon.

MaryBS · 04/10/2007 17:52

I'm famous!

www.anythingleft-handed.co.uk/eggheads.html

bobsmum · 04/10/2007 17:54

Cd - sorry, I had no idea about dd1's op - hope she's getting well soon - praying for angels around her bed

DutchOma - Adrian's one of the top gynae/obstetricians constultants in the country and when I was 20 wks preg with ds and v huge, he said - you'd better get a section for that one! . When I eventually get dh to sit down and email him (he needs to keep in touch better) we'll tell them the news of number 3.

I'm starting to tell people inreal life now - I'm 10 weeks today and still feeling hideous, but in a peverse way, I'm thanking God every time I heave, because baby must be hanging on in there A couple of my friends have just started telling people that they're pg - a few weeks further on than me - and I'm finding it hard not to say "Ooh ooh - me too!"

Could you pray I get my scan soon to put me out of my paranoid misery? We're supposed to get one between 10-14 weeks.

Insurance company are reviewing the offer they made on our written off car, so we're praying for a fair amount so we can get what we need. I know we could get by with one car if we had to, but there's no public transport here so I'd be in the house (or garden!) for 5 days a week which can't be ideal!

Give thanks that one of my best friends from way back had her 2nd wee boy on Monday - and it was a VBAC - just what she was hoping for - I'm very proud of her

Love you all in a cybery-sisters in Christ kind of way

DutchOma · 04/10/2007 18:49

Bobsmum, I hope your dh e.mails Adrian soon. I haven't heard from him, he must think I'm quite mad.
CD glad the op went well, hope pickle co-operates with the ministrations. to hear about the screaming, hope she soon settles down. Does she have to stay in?
Mary, how cool is that? I only had a quick look, cause we are going out tonight.
NSFN Good luck with the dating.

harrisey · 04/10/2007 20:05

Mary just relaised I'd not replied to your email - will do so soon!!

Well I might have made a total prat of myself today. A lecturer in college arranged for me to have lunch with his friend Rene, who he said was really into Latin America (which of course so am I) and who is in college this week researching a book. He's teaching our class on "Christianity in Latin America' tomorrow.
So I had a nice lunch with a sweet little man who talked a lot about many things I agree with and that are very close to my heart about the poor and marginalized in society.

came home and said to dh 'oh I had lunch with Rene someone from Argentina today' and dh eyes bug out on stalks! I only had lunch with Rene Padilla, the International President of TearFund! I had no idea who he was!!!!

worzella · 04/10/2007 21:38

That's great Harrisey - your meal was probably better for not knowing who he was...

Wow Mary - how famous????!!!

Praying for DD CD - how is she?

Here in the Worz household, we're all OK - but I am finding work at little stressy - basically, there's just too much to do.... and it's jsut taking a little while to settle down into some kind of routine.

Finding it difficult to not be fed up about what I am missing out on!! I'm back 3 days and so there's just not enough time. Feeling quite overwhelmed

notsofarnow · 04/10/2007 21:55

worzella [hugs] hun

Roseylea · 04/10/2007 21:59

Hee hee Harrisey, he probbaly thought you were refreshingly normal if people are always trying to impress him!

Worz hope you get the routine sorted.

Well I've had a good day - strange one really. Dh is having a hard time at work, and wants out, bless him. Please pray, if you can.

I went along to this course and it really made me think again about whether to leave - I'm being really indecisive over this issue! . This morning's course made me realise how good I am at what I do (sorry if that sounds immodest). I know we have a duty to use our God-given talents, and working in education what I do makes a direct difference to people's lives...eeek. If it were a money-oriented job I could walk away without a backward glance. But walking away from people is much harder (for me anyway...)

Anyway! I've started a thread about inclusive language Bible translations, if you want to have a look. It's something I'm pondering atm...

CaptainDippy · 04/10/2007 22:03

Boo! Exhausted so only popping in quickly to say thank you for your thoughts & prayers today Thank you relaying my msgs, Mary We are home now & DD1 is safely tuckled up in our bed. God has really been with us today - DD2 & DD3 went down for naps ok this morning, MIL coped ok, DD1 fell asleep for an hr before the surgery (after I'd texted Mary to ask for prayers!!) The anesthetic bit and the "coming round" after the op bits were pretty traumatic to say the least, but apart from that, it has gone well. Too early to say whether it has been a complete success, but eye only looks a little red & bloodshot, DD1 complaining a bit about itchiness & pain; right as rain, if a little tired & groggy. Thank you.

Praying for colds & teething, podglet.

Praying for peace Worz. xx

Yey to your famous bit Mary

LOL @ you, DutchOma

Love, {{{{hugs}}}} & prayers to all. xxxx
