I love you!

CaptainCaveman · 14/10/2007 08:16

Morning all, hope you are all ok?

Sorry to hear you and dts are/have been poorly Sooz, praying that you are all better soon.

How's your tabs going CD? I'm going to get my panic prevention cd out today for 2 reasons - 1. because I promised Panda a million years ago I'd send her a copy, and 2. because I'm feeling anxious/stressed and I don't know why! Possibly the return to work tomorrow after 2 weeks away but I usually look forwards to that .

I feel like I have a big weight around me that I need to let go of, and it scares me to 'unravel' like that (control is a big thing for me!). Kind of like the feeling I used to get in counselling when there was a memory or feeling 'bubbling up'. It feels like its something bigger than a memory though, a negativity clawing at me. I've been thinking about this for a while - perhaps its related to my abuse (ok, certainly, not perhaps!) and forgiveness.
I would really appreciate some guidance from the bible about forgiving others, and how to truly forgive rather than just say the words? I think I may ask for some prayer after the service today.

notsofarnow · 14/10/2007 09:59

CC prayers hun.

Ds seems a bit better this morning have persuaded him that his milk won't make him sick - really took some doing I can tell you. But at least it means he has got some goodness into him. Don't know if I said the other day but he now only weighs 28lb and he's 3.7yrs.

Not going to church obviously, and have rung work sick for tomorrow.

Please pray day doesn't drag as I fear its going to. It's sooo hard on your own. Big dd's are at youth councils today so thier not around either.

ZipadiSuzy · 14/10/2007 10:05

CC - prayers for you and hope you get the support needed from church this morning!

We have just bought a Noahs Arc for church, it has Mr & Mrs Noah and 2 elephants, 2 tigers, 2 crocodiles, 2 lions, etc etc etc with little steps and a lid for the storm church have had a clear out so thought a new thing for the under 5s to play with at the back of church was lovely, its made of wood and brightly painted (safety paint) looking forward to seeing the children play act, printed some animal masks for them to colour, for show and tell at the end of the service, sooooo looking forward to share it with church!

dd still got a high temperature, just laying on the settee, 3rd day now, dosed up with Calpol, hoping it resides soon, I'm starting to feel half human again

Happy Sundays - prayers and healing for you all

notsofarnow · 14/10/2007 10:12

Zip whatever this bug/virus is that's going around it's horrid isn't it. Ds has had temp since Wed and is just constantly coughing. Just feels like since he started nursery he hasn't been well.

CaptainCaveman · 14/10/2007 12:37

Praise God for the fantastic fellowship I am able to enjoy at my church.

I have been blessed with wonderful prayer and peace, so calm, so loving, Thank You God.

ZipadiSuzy · 14/10/2007 12:43

NSFN - aw little sprite your ds, hope he gets better soon, when children are on the smaller side they always look poorlier don't they, my ds1 was like that, but now he is 11yo shoe size 10 and in 14yo clothes I'm sure your ds will catch up soon

how are u atm? take care of yourself, and did I read further down the thread about shananigins! well looking at the menu????? - good on you, enjoy yourself!

ZipadiSuzy · 14/10/2007 12:44

CC - Glad you came home from church more positive, how did your mini-caveman enjoy his hols?

podglet · 14/10/2007 16:55

Hi all and a very happy Sunday,

NSFN, glad DS is feeling better

Suzi - fingers crossed that the twins feel better for their birthday - are you having a party? Glad you are feeling better too.

CC - glad you had a fab hols and are feeling more positive after church today. Nice to "see" you back!

CB - hiya, I'm quite new on this thread too. Hope you are ok.

DO - unfortunately I am not a huge fan on milk etc but DP is making me lots of choc milkshake and camp coffee as osteperosis (clearly not how you spell it) runs in our family. Am going to go to the Dr about it this week as am really suffering now. Walking is beginning to hurt

DS is up and about - we made up his brick trolley last night for him and he has been lapping the sitting room all day - v proud mummy

notsofarnow · 14/10/2007 17:20

ohhhh I think ds is feeling better the little monkey - between the two of them they have emptied all of their body wash (flipping expensive as it's the only thing that doesn't aggravate dd's excema) into the bath, so thats going to be like a skating rinc.

Then because I put them in their beds they emptied dd's wardrobe all over the floor. So i've ended up sorting all their clothes out. Have put all summer clothes away

Oh well only 10 days to my holiday without the two youngest dd's.

Wht do you mean shinannigans feel kind of quilty because i'm talking to the both of them. Have met one and meeting the other on Fri.

PandaG · 14/10/2007 17:26

Hello all

Praying for you NSFN - that you will have God's wisdom when dealing with your internet dates, and with your recovering DS! praying he is better soon and you don't all go down with it.

NQSTM - how is DS feeling about school tomorrow? praying for him and you.

CD - praying that the AD's are starting to kick in, and that god will be supporting you and holding you in his arms honey.

I haven't heard anything about the job I applied for over a week ago, I am trying to blame it on the postal strike, but starting to think I haven't got an interview. I am handing all to God, but will be a bit disappointed I know (pride I suppose)

Have just spent the last little while helping DS with his campaign to be elected class rep on the school council - slogan and posters included! DH and I are most amused, and pleased with his enthusiasm!

Roseylea · 14/10/2007 19:54

Hello all!

Panda hopefully it is just the postal strike - still, it's in God's good hands and He will give you the job that's best for you at exactly the right time!

Hi Podglet! I'll pray for your bones!!! I've had a few bone density scans (due to taking steroids - thankfully the scans have all been clear) so I know all about it. A bit of weight-bearing excercise helps too, doesn't it?

CCM sorry to hear about your lovely Granadad passing away - but what a beautiful way to go. I'm praying for "peace that passes all understanding" for you and your family.

NSFN isn't always the way, that when dc have been ill then get better, they're doubly naughty to make up for lost time?!

Suze I hope your dd feels back to her normal self soon! The Noah's Ark sounds lovely! A while ago I was playing with my dc with a Noah's ARk set and sttarted singing "God told Noah to go and build an arky arky" and the dc all joined in, a la Ned Flanders out of the Simpsons! (Street cred pops like a flimsy balloon!)

Well we are all okay-ish...I've been suffering from a rearing of the ugly head of the Crohns disease, yuk yuk yuk. Please pray that this stops here and now! I've eaten nothing but rice crispies all day (with soya milk) and a baked sweet potato for dinner (which was yum!)

Dh is still stressed out over work, and the dc are going through a naughty patch (fab) so our household is a bit fraught atm. I'm having to work hard at the discipline, which isn't easy but it must be done - lots of naughty-steps and time-outs and privileges removed - aaaagggggghhhhh!!!!!!

Still, they're in bed now, so it's time to relaxxxxxxxxxx!

CaptainDippy · 14/10/2007 20:51

Hope you are managing to relax a little this evening, Rosey hon. I need some of that too - wound up like a spring atm - Sunday evenings are never good for me because I spend them worry about Monday and about the week ahead - silly thing I am! Praying you maange to keep the Crohns under control sweetie and praying for your whole household atm - praying for DH with his work stresses and for DC's with ...... stresses in general ...... God hold you all so close right now. xxxx

Praying for you CC - I know exactly the feelings you are describing sweetie - Huggles and Prayers by the bucketload - praying everything slots back into place nicely after your lovely time away. xxxx

Panda - Praying it is just the postal strikes, I know ^exactly* those feelings are frustration re: job - seems to happen everytime I try to get one too Praying the perfect thing will comes up soon sweetie! BTW it is not AD's I am taking, but pills to help my anxiety. xx

nsfn and Soooooooooz - {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} to poorly children. Glad DS seemed a better today nsfn, hoping DD follows suit soon, Soooooooz. You muct both be exhausted - tiring when they are well, let alone when they are ill. xxxx Glad you are better now though Sooz.

Hi Shreksmissus - Glad you had a super and relaxing time away after getting over bugs etc.

Great to "see" everyone - you are all fab!

I am child-sitting for one of my BF's who had a little baby boy this morning at 4.02am, 7lb 12oz and all fine - Praise God - Been to hospital to see him earlier - so little and yummy and sleepy!! Can't believe P was only like that a matter of months ago! Time flies ..... Anyway, sitting on the children while her DH goes to see her for a while ......

Congratulations to BF CD. You silly thing, spoiling Sunday evening by worrying about Monday morning [affectionate emoticon].
Rosey, hope you don't have to go back on that strict diet. Hope the children get the message soon and dh gets sorted at work.
Podglet, had a sneaky look at your post natal thread, feel very sorry for the girls that had to come off because they had miscarriages. Found Bobsmum there as well, hope you haven't deserted us BobsMum, did your dh ever hear back from Adrian and his encounter with that madwoman?
NSFN and Soozy hope children get better soon.
CC sorry to hear about your dh's granddad, hope the funeral goes as well as possible.
Blessings to all

CaptainDippy · 14/10/2007 22:39

Yes I am silly!

No worries, Panda - just wanted to assert that the madness my mad pills are for is anxiety not depression!

Bum to no money, nsfn, perhaps next week??

Hello DO!

Back from BF's now and just pumping for P's breakfast before I head off to bed .....

OP posts:
ZipadiSuzy · 14/10/2007 23:31

Pepperpots - massive congratulations

CD - prayers for your anxiety to subside soon, how do the tablets make you feel? and lol at you and your 'pumping for breakfast'

NSFN - Ah nevermind, things happen for a reason, prayers for you, you deserve some happiness and it won't be long before your jollies

We've had a rough evening AGAIN! I had to walk out the house earlier as children were still up and I was cross with DH and ds1. I didn't want to make a scene so I went to work for a couple of hours, caught up with some work since being off on sick leave.

ds2 now got the high temperature and laying around floppy, please god may we have a good nights sleep, only had 20 hours since last tuesday night

I think we are all just exhausted and techy atm.

harrisey · 15/10/2007 07:00

Hi Godbotherers.
Been a bit of a manic week (back at college, lectures, essays etc kicking in already) so havent been around much. Will try to catch up!!

We are trying to decide exactly what to do when we graduate in June (seems a long way of - but we know it will come round faster that we think!!). I am feeling very drawn in the direction of a Masters in Theology (but that might just be me) - dh is quite happy to go back to GPing to put me through it as I am becoming more sure that a future in theological teaching (either here in the UK or abroad) is in front of me.

Please pray as we make these decisions!
