Mary - hope the situation at work resolves itself...

CD - hey you, hope all ok after your accidents

Hi to everyone else, hope you have blessed weekends with your families.

P.S where is DO???

notsofarnow · 28/09/2007 20:32

DO is on holidays in sunny wales.

Had a mad mad week. Have done 3 hospital trips and 2 doctors appointments.

ds is much better but his chest has been awful all week. Doc said his air flow was better on Thurs but he still had crackles.

Dd is coughing now, i'm full of a cold and working on a hot ward just makes it all worse. Am weeing myself everyime i sneeze which is probably too much information.

dd has miraculously started to walk more and more without cruthches so just pray that that continues please.

dd2 went to eye clinic on Thurs and had better vision than she has had for the last few years so just pray she continues to wear her contact lens more and hopefully vision will stay. Doesn't have to go back for a year - that is the longest break we have ever had but probably will go through a spate of loosing lenses now.

Can I just say it took me 5 yrs to get pregnant with dd then two came at once - well almost at once 13 months between them.

Sorry i've not been around but things just got too much have been lurking every now and again. Have felt very guilty that I disappeared.

PandaG · 28/09/2007 20:34

Don't feel guilty NSFN, we just want to be here to support you great news that DD is walking more without crutches. Continuing to pray fo ryou all xxx

Got a little tune popping around my head from sunday school...
Our God is a great big God
Our God is a great big God
Our God is a great bid God
And He holds us in His hands
He's higher than a skyscaper
Deeper than a submarine
He's wider than the universe
And beyond my wildest dreams
And He's known me and He's loved me
Since before the world began
How wonderful to be a part
Of God's amazing plaaaannnnnn

Ahh, me and ds like to sing that one together (plus do the actions )

Prayers much appreciated - i have asked dh to consider us having a child sooner and gave my reasons for wanting this. He's agreed to think about it whilst we are away on hols and we'll discuss it when we get home. Pray REALLY hard . I trust in God to work it out in His own way.

Hello all

Well I didn't get the job, bit disappointed, but must mean God has something better. went and took my frustration out on the nasty machines at the gym while DC were in their swimming lessons.

Hope that even though you were exhausted the chat was useful CD. Praying that you are able to release your fears to God.

ZipadiSuzy · 29/09/2007 17:43

Fab news with support from church, prayers for a solution 'quick' will you be going back to work after maternity leave? I think maternity leave should be till they are 3 or even 18

CC - love that song

PandaG - sorry about your job, like you say maybe god has something better in store

ZipadiSuzy · 29/09/2007 17:48

Been to Instructor/Coaching course again this morning, wow my brain hurts!!!!!!!!!!

Already been offered 3 jobs since started this course, taken 1 of them brilliant opportunites, but not quite right timing for me, I would really like the twins to be at school first!

Amazing how there is a shortage of Instructors, but we have just been taken over by a private company they want all our centres to double up on lessons, to my advantage - yipee!!!!!!!!

God is Good, thank you!

CaptainDippy · 29/09/2007 17:55

I'm not on ML, Sooz - I never really worked - Left Uni, got PG, had DD's ...... Neeeeed to find a job - Good news is - shop have asked me back! I've applied to Tesco and to be on a Fostering Panel and to be Clerk to the goveners at a local school and also to a Mystery Shopping agency - so hopeful at least some of those should be fruitful!?

Yes, I think DD is ready to drop daytime sleeps now; but I was hoping to get her to Christmas cos she starts Pre-School 3 mornings in Jan. ( at dropping sleep, not starting Pre-School!!) Darn ..... Anyway, DH is going to stay home with her tomorrow morning and see what happens!

Yey to more hours, Sooz!

Not bene o for a couple of days!
Its Welcome Week at college for the new students, and being the 'prayer co-ordinator' on the student council, I've been in since Thurs morning looking after first years - going insane, trying to keep all the activities running and remember people s names!

ANyway, tomorrow is a day off and - of course - we are busy. We are finally being formally welcomed into membership of our church and having lunch with the pastoral staff.

Lectures start on Wed. I'll be glad of the rest!!!

CaptainDippy · 29/09/2007 21:43

Hi harrise, you busy little bee!

I'm off to bed .................

OP posts:
harrisey · 29/09/2007 21:51

another thing about Burma-

its not in the news, but there are several theological colleges there where Christians train for ministry. Apparantly, they are gearing up to protest and to stand up for peace ...

God be with them as they do so, please ..... I cant imagine what things would be like if it was my Bible College faced with this kind of choice ...

harrisey · 29/09/2007 21:57

Also meant to tell you.

Ds (all on his own) CHOSE to spend 'Golden Time" on Friday playing with his Star Wars Lego figures (which he took in specially) with the boy who had been Kicking him.

He told me when he got home. The boy had been out of the class this morningand the teacher told the other kids to please be patient with him as he is having trouble with all the noise in school and too many people (?? I wonder ASD?)

After this, ds chose that at golden time he would share his toys with the other boy. His rationale? "Well he doesnt lke the noise and I dont either so we can play quietly and anyway he doesnt have any frinds so I'm goung to be his first friend"

I have hugged him a lot and told him how proud I am of him. Ds hates loud noises (fireworks esp, but some weeks even the music in church), and he has decided to befriend a boy with no frinds. I am so proud of him.

CaptainDippy · 29/09/2007 22:17

Oh harrisey, what an amazing little boy. I would be proud too.

Thank you for the extra info on Burma - praying for those who are going to stand up for what is right .......So brave .....

Harrissey bless your ds! Praying for people in Burma.

Suze we saw the Vicar of Dibley too!

Hi CD! [waves]

Well we have decided that I will give up work at Christmas. Eeeek - it feels a bit risky financially (although in reality it means that we will have to budget really carefully etc) but it does feel "right", esp. as in January the interviews etc for Vicar Factory will step up several gears - my Spiritual Director told me that the interviews can be 2 or 3 hours long and that she came out exhausted from the intensity of the questioning! Eeeeek! What am I doing?!

Hope everyone is well! Have a lovely Sunday!

CaptainCaveman · 30/09/2007 13:16

Hi guys, we're off to sunny Spain soon , leaving here in about an hour - yippee.

praying for you all whilst we're away, we will be home again on 13th Oct.

Ds was just singing me a song about going on holiday which went like this:

"we're going to spain, with grandma and grandad, but not my great-grandma coz she's dead and I don't know what to dooooo...."

hee hee, he's funny!

notsofarnow · 30/09/2007 13:57
